the MML2 Abandoned Mine's ruin has one of the floors flipped. Shiny object is missing from MML1's Kattelox Ruin network map. I was practicing 100% and kept missing one object... had to check ever hole myself. 0/10!
JK, the maps have been a huge help to me, and aside from a few hiccups in treasure chests (Manda Ruins in MML2 has a few wrong as well) they've been very accurate. Without them I wouldn't have been able to learn the games for speedrunning half as fast! So yeah, just pointing those out since the missed key item is a pretty big deal.

Wait, the maps tell you were stuff is? In MML1 I just explored everything. I wonder if I missed anything... how do you know if you've gotten 100%?

JMC might've been talking about maps like these which can be found under the "Game Guides" link under the main site map. I've never had to use them myself, so I wouldn't know if they contain mistakes or not.

Yeah those maps are really cool. I haven't ever actually used them but I've looked through them all a time or two. Who made them? fAB?

I put this in site complaints for a reason! Sorry I was so brief in my description, I had been running MML1 for like, 6 hours straight and was like, WHERE IS THE LAST *********** item!
So yeah, I'm talking about the gameguides section on the site. An amazing resource, but, when I'm using them as my only research for the games, it's a serious problem when something is missing. Not that I'd rather have blank maps... I'd rather have a map that's 99% accurate with one thing missing than have to make the maps myself and screw up a helluva lot more. Also, 100% route in MML1 is absolutely insane.
So yeah, sorry for the confusion I should never write something right before bed.

Why yes I did, which means it was also I who apparently didn't get them right.
Thanks for bringing this to my attention, JMC, and sorry for the frustration caused. I probably put too much faith in the Prima strategy guide when I was making these. I've added the Shiny Object to the ruin network map and incidentally fixed two problems in the Cardon Sub-Gate map... Can you give me more to go on for the MML2 problems you found? I just did a quick comparison between mine and another that's on Gamefaqs and everything seems to jive.

The maps have been a huge help, you shouldn't be apologizing at all! The frustration it caused me is minimal, because I accidentally found the missing item really fast luckily in MML1. in MML2, the maps really didn't cause me much problems, other than confusing me momentarily in spots. Lesse, I'm going to bring up exactly which map file is broken. legends-station.com/mml2/guides/map-mine1.pngYeah, the elevator links are backwards, since the hoverjets are on the far side of the room you enter, not the near side. I was just really tired after playing way too long and couldn't coherently make thought words into sentences. Maybe I'm wrong about the Manda ruins thing, I'll go check on MML2 later since I have a save near the ruins. But I THINK the room with four chests I thought the treasure chests were flipped from what contained what? Not a huge deal regardless, but, I figured I'd bring it up. I know I'm repeating myself, but I feel bad for complaining about the maps; they're so good and the few slight problems are immeasurably outweighed by the dozens of hours it saved me in routing and building a 100% route in MML1. The MML2 errors are entirely superficial so those didn't really affect me all that much. If I ever dare to make an MML2 100% (on Very Hard, because, why not?) I'm sure I'll come on MMLS, likely 4 - 5 AM asking where an item is because I forgot how to read. Man, I'm looking forward to that.

Ah, so it was the elevator labels that were reversed, not the actual floor. Got it. *takes care of it*
I appreciate your appreciation and am glad that you found the maps useful, but that doesn't change the fact that there were errors that shouldn't have been there, so again sorry and thanks for pointing them out.

Thank you kindly. Maps are something I felt I had to make to give the site a sense of completeness even though most of us have played the games so much that we don't need them. It makes me happy to hear of them getting actual use though.
