It's been a while since I posted anything new here, but I figured I might as well share this pic. Here we have the ever-delightful Yuna from Mega Man Legends 2 who has decided to take up a singing career. With a little luck, she may end up lending her voice to a Vocaloid program. This was supposed to be a quick pic, but it ended up being one of the most frustrating things I've painted as it went through a number of revisions. My first drawing was pretty damn awful and the second one wasn't much better. I was then struck with a horrifying realization: I can't draw bishoujos! :09: I was determined to make a concerted effort to draw Yuna the way Japanese artists do, which meant strong perspective, sharper contrast and tighter composition. This third attempt was the first time I drew something entirely on computer and I finally got the look I was aiming for. My troubles didn't stop there. While colouring Yuna was easy, I didn't have a clue what to paint for the background! I looked at a number of music-related backgrounds, but nothing seemed to fit. I ended up spending hours and hours just experimenting with different effects and trying to find elements that complemented the image. The result was a real nightmare to paint, but I learned a few new tricks from the experience, so hopefully the next time I try something similar it won't be such a pain. :06: YOU CAN WATCH A VIDEO PLAYBACK OF THIS PAINTING HERE.

:18: Wow. That is just, uh, amazing. I cannot find the words to express how flabbergasted I am, Glitcher. You've created a wonderful piece of art. Her right hand looks a liiiittle funky, but that's only a footnote, compared to how awesome this picture is!

That seriously looks like it could be the cover of a CD case.

Yes, HF mentioned the same thing about the hand. I know that some artists prefer a simplified style for a softer look, but I was using Koh Kawarajima's art as reference and he favours more detailed hands. Is the way he draws really so different from my own? You can tell me straight.

No worries, people arn't used to detailed hands. Most artists keep them vague. That's a wonderful, wonderful picture you drew Glitcher. If MMLS had a hall of fame this would be in it. One of the best pieces here and you know we have alot of talented people on the boards. If Pitch sees this I guarantee he'll save this in a folder with Yuna pictures!

Ah can think of no other perfectly fitting form and outfit for one of the Mother Units of the Master System than a Hatsune Miku costume for Yuna. Glitcher, you've outdone yourself, as you always seem to do with your Megaman art. I thank you, from the bottom of my heart, for gifting our fandom with such talent and grace.

I'm not too artistic, so I'm not sure if my opinion would hold much stock, but it's mostly the area around her upper-palm. It looks kinda... deep? Like one part of her hand is closer to the bone than the other. Does that make any sense? I'm really bad at explaining anatomy.

Sometimes less is more. Ah can think of no other perfectly fitting form and outfit for one of the Mother Units of the Master System than a Hatsune Miku costume for Yuna. In my opinion this picture is really more scrumtrulescent than supercalifragilisticexpialidocious but that's just me. Once again, great job Glitcher, be sure to post more arts up here for us.
