Argh!, Capcooooooommmmmmm! Time to go back to what I'd been doing for the past ten years... Lol, sometimes when I drew pictures of Megaman, I'd combine elements from X (the chestplate) classic (the spirit) and Legends(the hair). I don't know what that has to do with the topic, but that's what I was doing ten years ago while looking for MML2, and casually browsing the net for news of a new Legends, or a way to get that going.
Guess I'll get back to that. And creating a guitar cover of "With Vengeful Feelings". Grrr

Maybe I'll draw one up again, for nostalgia's sake. And moving back to the topic...
I suppose you wouldn't need those legs, since you'd just be teleporting from cell to cell right? lol
I know I'll probably get burned at the stake for this, but I honestly want to see an HD Megaman platforming game, Classic, X, Zero, Legends, mash-up, whatever... with MODERN yet faithful graphics. Kind of in the spirit of Little Big Planet or World Gone Sour. Modern and HD don't mean brown and grey color palette with occasional splotches of red.
I don't know what it is with Megaman fans and this fixation with nostalgia, but I loved MMX4, MM7, MM8, MMX7, MMX8, MML, RM&F, for bringing the series up-to-date. I just wish Megaman could continue on that path, with solid gameplay. I know it's weird to say this, but if it weren't for the fans, Megaman would be much more progressive than it's been, and probably more popular, and probably BETTER. X7, while done poorly, did a commendable job of translating MMX gameplay to a 3D stage, imo. If X7 and X8 didn't do so poorly, we'd probably have a Legends 3 by now.
If Capcom does nothing else with Megaman in the future, I just want to see a modern Megaman game with HD graphics and Sound. No 8-bit. No Playstation-bit. No DS, no Wii, no iPhone or Droid, no PSP or PSV. No sprites, no chiptunes, no dinky "pew-pew-pews" or "pink-pink-pinks". I want particle explosions that rock the house! I want fire and destruction! I want detailed dissected pieces of every robot I destroy flying everywhere. Nuts, bolts, oil, plasma, fire! FIRE!! I want to feel satisfaction at sound of every shot fired, every shot connected. I want Megaman's body to glow with the energy, and I want his front-side to light up in real time with the blast of his buster. I want missiles and napalms which produce realistic fire and exhaust fumes. I want the Mets to get dings on their hats when your shot bounces off. I want to squint at the shiny slickness of Megaman's armor, feel the soft texture of Protoman's scarf. I want Volnutt's hair to blow in the wind, and Tron's leggings to be translucent. I want to see each blade of grass, to run and splash in the ocean. And I want Roll to stop making perfectly good skateboards into glorified fruit boots. I want to be able to read the magazine's that Megaman finds in the dumpster behind the Junk Shop owners house. I want a pounding adrenaline fueled hi-fi techno-metal-dubstep-jazz-rock-baroque-fusion filled soundtrack, with REAL instruments and synths (I guess we can squeeze some good chiptuning into there). I want solid jumping (no floaty gravity), solid controls, excellent level design, deadly bosses, engaging story, multiple playable characters (Bass, Protoman, Duo, Roll, Megaman, Joe, Rokko Chan, etc...), and a Megaman BN arcade mini-game.
And a local versus/co-op modes.
Give me Current-gen-bit on XBOX360 and PS3 (and Wii if you have the time), or give me exploding blue rings of plasma.

I just want RockMan Online to be released soon. It was placed on hold because the developers' company is currently experiencing a massive restructure, but once that've over the game's development should continue.

Isn't Shenmue a 3D game? I want mine to be 2d side-scrolling. The 3d can come later ( I don't want to compromise too much, here). Or, I should say, it could be 3d or 2d. And it could be open-world or linear. Open world worked for Legends, Linear worked for everything else, so...
I don't want a Shenmue. I want a modern-looking-and-sounding Megaman game with good tried-and-true gameplay, some innovation, and multiplayer.
I don't know about Sega style music, but I want the music to be a modern day version of what classic/X music would sound like if it had been made today. Maybe that's Sega, but I was imagining something that has the energy of the classic and x megaman games, and some of the sophistication of the Legends games, but to today's standards.
