So, it's been a week since I was last able to post, and see that the tool I posted last Thursday has been of use. I'm still working on a version with key rebinding enabled, but I've run into a few technical difficulties with that (mostly related to properly identifying input values), so I might need to resort to a "low-tech" solution (a giant look-up table) to get it available.
I've had a few more developments DASH2PC-related, but most of this material would be best presented when I'm around to directly handle comments, so I'm hesitant to release it right now. That being said, March will be an exciting month for those interested in this sort of thing.
However, as I was testing my various tools and scripts, I came across what can only be described as "beta materials". I've always held the belief that I'd never find so-called beta or cut materials in DASH2PC, since it's a port; there's no reason why unused "junk data" would be converted and repackaged as well, unless it was a "package deal", like a bit of old filler in an otherwise used part, or a small doodle in the corner of a texture (found one of those a while ago). This, however...is the whole file (SELECT.DAT). It reminds me a bit of RMD2:Episode 1, which was not ported to the PC with the main game (unlike the PSP release). I can only assume the port job was a lot more mechanical/automated in nature than I initially thought, and that anything laying around got swept up and packed.
SELECT.DAT only contains graphics and palettes, and no other materials, unfortunately. This makes it very easy to present, but not a particularly satisfying find. Still, I've taken the time to properly extract everything to my abilities and pair them up with the correct colours. The images are:

*-For those putting it together, use a height of 80 pixels, from the top.
Please note, graphics and palettes (colours) are stored separately, this is why the same graphic (see G-number) in used multiple times while the palette (see P-number) changes every time. This is also why the Glyde banner looks poor in the Appo/Dah images, and vice versa - the 2 banners are a single graphic, but use different palettes. In an effort to keep the materials as close to their originals as possible, I have not done any cropping or other alterations intentionally.
If I don't have the internet back over the next week, I'll do what I can to pull together something else to show next Thursday or so. Probably an updated CFG Tool, amongst other things. Really sucks, discovering something, or figuring something out, desperately wanting to announce it, muscle memory opening Firefox and punching in the forum URL only to be met with [Connection could not be made]. 17 days now without internet, and I'm still doing that.
