The only reason I'm not giving it a name is because I'm going to make the story up as I type.
It was the night of Christmas Eve. It had been a day full of joy, but the night was just beginning. Two children where under the couch, waiting for Santa to arrive. A man in a red suit did arrive. The children ran greet him, until they noticed the red was actually blood.
Without a second thought, the children ran through the halls. They searched for mom and dad, but in their room they where not. Where could they have gone, who knows...
The children were scared, until one found a toy. It was a rubber baseball bat, but still strong enough to hurt a foe. Both of the kids sneaked upon the man, who was making a sandwich. In the count of 3, both kids swinged the bat together against the bloody man. But the swing was too strong, as it launched them up to another world.
They were thrust onto a pathway that reminded them of space. The path was full of wood and it also felt hot. They didn't know what was going on until they arrived. They had reached a house, but theirs it was not.
Scared, the children tried to find a way home. The house started being surrounded by horrible gas. The kids could hardly breathe and everything seemed lost, until they found a door that shined with hope.
Both children made a nod and ran towards the door. They could hear voices from it, but they were comforting, though a bit desperate sounding. They grabbed the handle and opened the door.
The children woke up in a hospital. They were being attended by some doctors, after almost having drown. Their parents were there, thanking a beaten, yet satisfied fireman in a classic red suit. Their home was long gone, but their spirits were not.
