Righteo, people. I was discussing the idea of getting the word out about MML via radio. (You know, that strange box-like contraption that emits static?) Most people seem to like the idea, and said to 'go ahead' with it. Anyhoo, the point of this thread is to brainstorm ideas for said advertising. (i.e. What topics to cover, whether or not to discuss the 100,000 Strong movement, etc.) I only get ONE shot at this, so I need to make it count. Any suggestions are greatly appreciated!

Well, if you only have one shot, definitely discuss the 100k movement and Legends3.com. This sort of thing has never happened before. Capcom was stringing along people who'd been waiting more than half their lives for the resolution to a cliffhanger, AND soliciting free work from them. People genuinely cried when it was cancelled, and they'd literally promised to use the Prototype to determine whether or not it would sell. They weren't supposed to have decided that it would fail on their own, and they STILL haven't given us a straight answer.
Most if not all of CoA sympathizes. CoJ is being a brick wall and trying to shove it under the rug. They still won't tell us why they cancelled it. If this is an industry norm, then something needs to change with this industry, because too many people have been waiting too long for this one game just to let them get away with it.

-The developer Capcom recently canceled the game Megaman Legends 3 -Fans waited over 10 years for it's release and we're asked to help develop the game. -Capcom canceled the game before anyone had the chance to play it or build commercial interest, wasting months of work by thousands of fans. -Go to Legends3.com and the 100,000 Strong for Bringing Back Legends 3 Facebook page for more information and to support bring back the game.
There's a quick crude summary of what should be in the broadcast. There's alot more we could say but I'm sure the radio doesn't want it to take up too much time.

Hm, radio advertisements for MML3 and its movement, eh? That will definitely attract attention, if not from the area the message will be aired in then definitely on the internet if it's given some sort of article on a major news site. If you have the means to actually go ahead with this, I say go for it, and the fact that you're putting this much foresight into doing so is a very good sign too.
Hmm...radio...

Thanks for the words of support, Loken! Unfortunately all of the local radios will have none of it. So, unless I can slingshot myself to another part of the country, the idea is on hiatus.

Well this gives us more time to refine the idea and what would be said when someone was to go live.
You gave it a shot GP, maybe one of the local stations will change their mind or we can just launch you out of that catapult. ;D

Oh my god! What an excellenet idea! I concur with dashes writings.. I think this would be a wonderful way to give Capcom the track record hit they should have taken for cancelling this game. Maybe they should have thought twice before messing with Legends fans, I think that would make them chicken up thier butts before more radio announcements got out about what they did with the artwork soliciting in particular.
Why won't the radios allow it?? I have an idea! Instead of broadcasting on local fm/am stations who arnt willing to have that kinda content up, try broadcasting on podcasts or satellite radio channels like sirius. There are many talk/discussion shows and im sure some focus on a gamer audience in particular, that would be more willing to give you air time. This may not give us the pull at capcom that mainstream radio stations will, but its still a pull that can help significantly. If you can get it recorded, sending it out to podcasts should be easier. I would search video game podcasts. And I dont know where u live but sirius might even have a branch in your city.
