Reported from Andriasang, perhaps some encouragement to carry on the fight (at least that is assuming that it is indeed Fujikawa's twitter account; but the verbage he uses sounds correct): www.andriasang.com/e/blog/2011/07/28/legends_3_programmer/Original tweet: twitter.com/#!/me_fujikawa/status/96232133357617153 少なからず縁があった者としては活動の結果は非常に気になるところですね。頑張ってと言える立場ではないですが、応援の気持ちだけは持たせて頂こうかと。

I'm glad that he has a 'feel' of support for us. I'm sure he is not the only one there who does. I hope more Devs say something along those lines. We all know the Devteam did what they could for us.

Man, Fujikawa is such a cool guy. Better keep fighting the good fight...those guys wanted this game to happen at least as much as we wanted it, probably more!

Offering a feeling of support sounds good to me, it’s nice that he said that. The support means a lot to us, but I’m sure it must mean so much to the devteam as well, that so many people are fighting for what the devteam was creating.

(Assuming that he represents how most of CoJ's development team feels, so it is true after all...)

In other interesting news, when I woke up this morning the tweet was deleted but his account was still there. According to the Mega Man Network: "one of his final messages indicated he was speaking from the perspective of a customer, and felt his statements may have invited misinterpretation." Now the whole account is gone. Hopefully he isn't facing flack from Capcom.
I got to say, after reading posts from these people for months, it is rather annoying to have them sworn to secrecy and to able to address the fans.

That's freaking terible. If that's so I'm surprised anyone works at Capcom.

Or, we could just say that is in fact OUR fault as fans for spreading around that tweet.
Seriously, I understand that everyone wants to see more support on Legends 3 and constantly find new rumors to discuss about... But some of the publicity of it is just way too much, and might be making things worse.

Or, we could just say that is in fact OUR fault as fans for spreading around that tweet. Abrasiveness aside, I think this is probably partly true. I'd imagine Fujikawa specifically clarified that he's not in a position to be wishing protesters good luck so that people wouldn't try to use his sympathy as part of the campaign. It's a major conflict of interest for him to be supporting people protesting against Capcom's decision to cancel the game. But sure enough every damn MegaMan site was posting that up, and publicizing it and taking it out of context to use it as part of the cause. Classy.

Even if that is what happened (and as far as I know, there has been no clarification about if his account was closed by Capcom, himself, or what), then I feel like it was definitely Capcom being overly vicious. Game developers tweet all the time about projects they wish they could work on, and they do not get punished for it because it's just their personal wishes.
IF Capcom shut down his Twitter, it'd be all the more reason for me to believe they're doing everything they can to block out fans and try and ignore the campaigns.

Press brings up a good point--if it was indeed Tsujimoto and Friends who ordered Fujikawa to delete his own Twitter (I'm not sure at all who or what else in the world could possibly prompt him to delete the whole account, to be honest)...well, it seems really, really defensive. Almost paranoid of them. Paranoid enough to insinuate--and this is pure speculation on my part--that something about this game, its cancellation, the backlash, or any combination of the three--has put the executive branch on edge to the point where they'll lash out at anybody who even mentions anything in relation to the public backlash. Kind of like the entire song "If You Were Gay" in Avenue Q was, really. If they're getting really defensive, then it's a good sign that they're hiding something.
Something like the possiblity that they blatantly lied about Inafune not playing any part in their decision to cancel the Prototype too.
If that were true, it would make perfect sense that everyone has remained quiet on it all week. They could very well be at a point where any inkling of a detail besides "it's still cancelled" would make them look even worse to the public, and it reinforces the notion that CoA is/was actually in favor of keeping the game in production but can't say it out loud.

Dang. This whole entire story could make an awesome drama fiction or something, putting the spotlight on the 'darker' things that go on behind the scenes over at game companies. As much as I hate the cancellation as much as everyone does, I will say this - The suspense is certainly making this an interesting year. I hope it lasts.

I find it very strange that not only did he delete that tweet, he closed his entire twitter account. Smells fishy, if you ask me.
Dashe's theory made a lot of sense. I'm getting the hunch that they don't want anyone to encourage the fans to express their dislike about the cancellation; and that the real reason for their cancellation might enrage their fans. I won't be surprised if I'm wrong, but at least we're getting some interesting dramas at the moment.

Maybe this is all part of Capcom's plot to make a movie about this.
*gestures* Mega Man Legends 3 the game that wasn't meant to be. Rated R for all the action, scenes of violence, adult situations, drug and alcohol use and zombies. It could be the next big summer hit!
But yeah this whole this seems off ever since they delayed the prototype and it just got stranger as time went on. If they did make him shut down his twitter account then I'm not surprised in the least. Its a terrible if true and not the way to handle a situation like this.
