So the cancellation of MML3P has hit a lot of people over the country but you know it never really hit's home until you meet other people in person for the first time who are just as bummed about it as you.
I got my 3DS a few days ago, yay me~ and as I went around to collect the funds to buy a couple games for it, I got to talk to a lot of people in game stores, game store employees and even an owner of a local small time game trade buy and sell place. A couple quotes from people I met~ "It's like a 10 year in the making plan to troll an entire fan base." "It's like capcom waited 10 years to pull a massive cock-block."
One of the people I met who started the conversation about the cancellation was an employee at the Sam's Wholesale club I went to get some foodstuffs at. Just me wandering with my 3DS in hand spawned the conversation. Haha, Has anyone else had any of these fun/sad little encounters while out in about?

I have not had anyone bring it up, but I have not been carrying my 3DS around either.
That's pretty cool though. I'm surprised and happy/sad that the news is that big.

Well, I just recently got some games for it, and while farting around shopping for food with my roommate, I'm walking and playing DoA:D and they guy checking receipts at the exit of the store brought it up, last place I expected it too, and yea it's pretty out there, all the game stores have brought it up to me when I ask them for blankity blank 3ds game. lol. I was actually kinda surprised. The news was pretty hard hitting, We had quite a bit larger of a following than the numbers show I think.

Eh, I'm not really one to talk to strangers about video games. I do have one real life friend who likes Mega Man, but it's more than likely that he had never heard of Legends 3, or doesn't care for it.

I have a tabletop group of old friends I frequently hang out with. None of them are Megaman, Legends, or even Capcom fans.
All five of them have individually gone up to me and personally apologized(for whatever reason) about the game being cancelled to me shortly after it was canned.
I didn't talk about it too often, maybe I'd mention a Devroom event here and there. But after the cancellation, I realized that the entire group(who each plan to, or already own a 3DS) was looking forward to owning the game as well. It was actually the highest on their list.

One of my old elementary school friends grew up to be a card-carrying hippie, so she was more than eager to hear my tales of corrupt corporate executives and internet activism. I haven't been to a game store since June when I was looking for copies of Nintendo Power. Maybe I ought to go into a few and buy something trivial just to chat up the clerks about Legends 3.

Yea, I mean I never outwardly STARTED L3 cancellation topics, but in each case it came up, I don't think Capcom realized how many people were actually eager to see the games release, especially when non fans were looking forward to it too. And I think a lot of the non fans were more looking farward to it as a new game for 3ds with a good quantity of playtime behind it. Considering right now we're lacking anything like that other than LoZ:OOT and I dunno.. Nintendogs + Cats or the Sim's 3 but OOT is a remake, and the other 2 are for casuals. Though I guess I can't say anything about remakes... since I have wanted remakes of L1 and L2 for a while now... and I DID buy OOT for 3ds. [haven't played the original in YEARS, and liked the new look lol]
@dr. J: Well strangers or not, In a game store its natural for game related talk to happen, but the guy in the Sam's club, that was indeed a stranger to stranger convo, but hey, He started it, and he's about the same age as me so ya'know, some friendly chit chat to break up the monotony of checking peoples receipts and making sure they dont steal things? lol
