If they truly don't plan on making it they should at least release the codes or something from what they have done to the fans and allow us to make our own MML3 its highly unlikely they would, but it would stop me from complaining.

There's no way that they would ever provide the source code. Ever. NO professional company would do that.
And it'd probably be illegal too.

I'd support the devteam leaving Capcom 200%.

I would support everyone leaving Capcom 300%. I disagree. Departures just seem to make things worse. Inafune's departure certainly makes it seem so. Granted the dude felt that leaving would be for his best interest, and it was, but still. I know you guys all hate Capcom for this, and it is justified, but I can't help but think that some of it is a bit much. Boycotting and hate mail is one thing, but wishing for all of Capcom's staff to leave or for them to shut down is another thing. Not like it'll happen anyway, but still.

Nah, I just wish for the Devteam to leave, join Inafune and take the project with 'em is all. It would probably do the game, and maybe even the series and the franchise, good if they did. More artistic license and such. Especially considering practically all of them have worked on past Megaman titles.
I've loved Capcom since childhood, and though I'm fairly unhappy with many of their recent choices, I still believe there's something salvageable there. I'm aware I'm probably caught up in the moment.
No hate-mail or boycotting for me.
Just used game purchases and guilt-tripping letters for the time being.

I don't care what happens to Capcom frankly. When you're screwed over this bad there is no over the top.

I'll definitely participate in this in every way possible! I've been waiting for this game ever since I finished Legends 2 in the early 2000s, and will never give up! *determined* I don't know if letters sent from Finland make much difference, but I'll try anyway, because we awesome fans really deserve this game!

I am also thinking of participating in this as well to let CAPCOM know that cancelling the game was not a smart move.
I also agree about the Devteam leaving CAPCOM won't do any good, but would only make things much worse.

Erm... Lets try and talk about what we'd write in the letters to Capcom. There's so much hate-mail between this topic and the other one, it's unsettling and I'm beginning to lose track of what's what. :21:
Even though it may not be all that helpful at this point, I think I may begin a letter in one of the provided templates this weekend when I'm in a more opportune place. I'll likely express feelings as originally intended, and my desire for Legends 3 to return. I don't plan on using any hate in my letter, but I'll definitely request a reply just to see what happens.

Imagine this: What has Inafune been doing for the last year? Perhaps undercover he's been investing and exchanging his fortune, making it grow so that he can afford to buy the rights to the MegaMan trademark! Bwahaha...

Might I say something to Loken and any to whom it applies?
A while back, I was into a certain anime, the fandom of which, had been painstaking split into two bitter halves when the company behind it fired the original creator and hired a new one who constantly retconned the former's explanations, to the point of erasing one explanation.
How is this relevant? Their methods were similar... Those who supported the Original Creator were, like you, going overboard to the point of "Making joke-threats of take-over" towards the production company...
While I agree they were right for supporting their fandom's 'true' world, I couldn't support their hateful spiteful, very dejecting attitude toward the 'enemy'.
In war, we must not hate our enemy: They too, are sentient, and have needs much like ourselves. --------Capcom dealt us a war-starting blow, that is obvious, but we should be supportive stating "We won't further you until we get MML3" but we must not act like MML3 is the only thing they have the rights to exist for.
I am boycotting further introductions into their other series, ie Chun-li is hot, but any furthering of her SF story, i will not follow, but i know her story up to SF3 and am still a fan. Capcom will recieve this treatment from me wide-spread but if you 'hate' them & they 'perish' we'll NEVER get MML3 therefor we should care for them, despite them being our nemesis.
---I presented this same mentality to those in the anime-community way back when, saying, "Okay so you wanna put the producers out of business, yeah...you see that's when the phrase 'it'll never happen' becomes very, very real."
MMLS inhabitants I ask all of you: DO WE WANT MML3? I DO and I plan on showing Capcom my support, but as they are my enemy, I cannot support anything but Megaman Legends. What distance I've traveled for their other franchises is set-in-stone but no new etches to those records will occur until MML3 is one day made and in my hand.
Loken, I respect you, deeply, but please heed my advice: Do not hate them, if you do, we'll never get MML3.

Okay. Hangover time's over. I'm going to go water the plants, skim the pool and start planning hardcore.
We're not going to get anywhere with rage, I can tell you that much. I'm not talking about Rage the Drill Sergeant, I'm talking about that insane sense of anger. In the gaming community, anger's pretty constant. What we need to do is guilt trip them like it's nobody's business but ours.
I said this in a comment to Greg's follow-up, but pulling the prototype is like, in an inspirational basketball movie, in that part of the show when the hero challenges the bully to a game of 1-on-1 near the end, the bully doesn't accept the offer and play basketball at all, fair game or not. Instead, it's like the bully pulls a gun and shoots the hero in the face, and unlike the bride in Kill Bill, he doesn't wake up in four years.
Another important thing we need to do is rally everyone who is running around enraged as hell without any sense of direction and consolidate as many anti-Capcom movements as we can. One huge organized movement > 1,000,000 little ones.

I support this wholly. This is probably the best thing we can do if we want MML3.
