I know it's a bit short notice, but Jake from Get Me Off The Moon International Strategies is collecting personal anecdotes of where and when everybody found out the Legends 3 project existed and how they felt when they discovered the ten year wait was "over."

I don't know how I first caught wind of the project, but I remember the confirmation of its existence was threw at me by ScrewAttack's Hard News. I bounced around the house for a full hour. Happy levels were near maximum. I wasn't aware of the Devroom until January, when a certain Mikey turned around in his desk, slapped me across the face, and threatened to rape my house if I didn't join. Fast-forward a few months... I got on the Devroom rather early on July 19. "A Message from Capcom," I said, "the game must have been green-lit!" I was a happy boy. Until I saw that word. That one damn word that shot me in the chest: "regret." I haven't felt so let down since my grandfather died back in 2004. But, I have faith in our movement to revive the project! I'll email my story as soon as I get home.

ROFL?As for me, I don't think I was aware until October, when I first joined MLU. They already had a thread about it, and I was clueless to the matter of there even being a Legends 2 after all that time. Shows how much I cared about the series... Don't worry, I felt sad and ashamed about it as well. But anyway, I could probably go more in depth and write out more details. Does Jake want them by tommorow? :22:

Yep, unless he pops in again and says otherwise. Thankfully emailing is really easy.

I've just sent my e-mail to him:
I had found out about the Legends 3 Project from Protodude's Rockman Corner blog on 29 September 2010 as I always check there for any Mega Man news each morning.
When I heard that the wait was finally over I was over the moon as the Legends series happens to be my absolute favourite out of the Mega Man series and the fact that we are finally getting a sequel after a decade-long wait was an early birthday/ Christmas present for myself.

I sent the email. Hope you guys like it too.
Where and when did I find out the Legends 3 project existed… First, I should mention that I was around five or six years old when I first played Megaman Legends itself. Although I couldn’t quite make out some of the vocabulary the story was using, I had still enjoyed playing it time and time again, until it disappeared, supposedly having been sold by my brother. The game disappeared, but the memories had not. It wasn’t until my senior year in high school, that I typed “Megaman Legends” into Youtube by some random whim in the back of my head, and learned that Legends 2 existed, and Legends 3 was announced to be in the works. The date was October 5th, 2010 when I learned about the project, a short week after its announcement. Having not known Legends 2 itself existed for the 10 years that flew by, I could not begin to describe the regret. Eventually, I acquired the means to play through it, and enjoyed every second, despite being a good ten years late. Thank you for taking the time to read my story. Legends Never Die! ~Mikey

I took a little longer than I expected to, but I wrote my letter and sent it in.
I'm seeing this anniversary not so much as an end, but as a beginning..

I don't really have anything special to send for a story... I was watching the 3DS press conference giving the japanese release date and price and when it ended, someone told me about Inafune-san's video being up saying the Project was underway. I guess I was in the first ones to notice...

Thanks to Protodude's latest post, I found this Facebook Post Link that has a few sample stories. This only lists 56 of them, but check who made stories #11, #12, and #40. I'm not sure if some of you guys left different names when you sent the email, or if you just didn't leave a signature at all, but those were the only three I could find that were MMLS at first glance. Savvy?
