I remember I was so excited to go into the Kimatoma ruins after I got my S license. I spent about an hour a day for 2 or 3 weeks straight working on it. Then I went into the ruins and saw it was underwater, and died inside. Something about underwater ruins and the really slow run speed and massively exaggerated knockback effects just kills the coolness of it for me. Try the PSP version, it's not as slow as the PSX version. It runs the entire thing at 30 fps (60 fps on menus) with no dips, as far as I've heard. I think it was said that the underwater ruins are slow because the game was lagging (the PSX can't handle it, apparently).

AHAHAHAAHA! I FINALLY DID IT! Years after beating this game--many more after buying it, I finally got the S class license! It was so, so satisfying to actually get it. I hadn't realized previously that you could take the tests as early as before leaving Yosyonke. But... the Kimatoma ruins are an underwater stage? Ergh. Even with the Aqua Jets, the underwater sections are pretty grueling. Well, I didn't retry forty times for nothing. Guess I'll grin and bear it.

I still suck at that test. I need the pop in my MML2 copy and be a man already!
