Hi everyone, ltns! I must say like everyone else I was very excited about the upcoming Legends 3 (especially after 10 long years), though I was a bit concerned about whether the voice acting would be the same (I had hoped at the very least they'd bring back Caroly Larson (Tron) and Tracey Ryan (Roll) ). And of course I would've been more than happy to make the transcript and guide for it just like I did for the current Legends Trilogy, only trouble is I don't have the $250 (now $170?) 3DS handheld the game would've been exclusive for. And I'm not even considering getting a 3DS until they make an XL version (or even better still a way to play it on the TV).
But anyway, imagine my DISGUST when I found out with all the hype Crapcom had been doing on this game, not to mention the 10 or so page article Nintendo Power did on this game, they just suddenly pull the plug??? Let me tell you, I was plenty disappointed enough when the GBA MegaMan Anniversary Collection was canceled (I had a preorder for it at my local EB Games and everything; I was REALLY looking forward to that one), but this is the final straw!!
Does this congregation know what this move makes Crapcom? A QUITTER. And you know the saying, quitters never win, winners never quit.
Fine Crapcom, if you're gonna quit on us, then I will quit on you and will never again spend another penny at your store (so I guess no Star Force 3 for me). How do you like them apples?

Okay, but I never heard of "Crapcom". I can't even find it in the registry.

The XL version of the 3DS, if it will be made at all, would be like, six years from now. As a DSi XL owner, it's kind of pointless, but I'm getting off topic. The final straw for you wasn't the DRM on Resident Evil 3D? It wasn't the fact that they milk franchises in a way that makes Activision jealous? Don't get me wrong, Legends is my favorite game of all time. But Capcom has been screwing us over for a long time.

Ditto, I'm very sorry to be this way...but I stopped caring about you bashing post at "Crap" in the title.
It's "Capcom", yeah they did us all wrong but guess what: Two wrongs don't make a right. If we come off as mean, rude, menacing/etc to them: Then we'd NEVER get MML3.
Please don't misread me, I know how ya feel, and I feel the same way too, but to quote Kai from Beyblade S1: "Battles are won with the Head, not the Heart."
(To mods, sorry if I was too rude, I'll accept punishment for this if necessary.)

I already sent them snail mail with pictures that quote about missing 100% of the shots you don't take. A lot of other people have sent letters to CoA as well, and Sven and the others there have been very receptive. Either way, I'm just as disgusted as you are. Putting your customers to work on helping construct and advertise a project, promising them a Prototype version to test the market due to the risks of putting out the full title, and then pulling everything without even giving that Prototype a field test is downright despicable. I'm not giving up on pushing for Capcom to rescind their decision, because as a company, they were completely out of line and unprofessional. The thing is, though, Capcom of America isn't the branch that made that decision. If any of us want to reach the execs and press to have them shape up, we're going to have to stick together, be positive, and be mature about it--more mature than these middle-aged Japanese businessmen are being, by far. So far the Capcom of America reps we've been in contact with have been more than respectful (especially vice president Christian Svensson), and there are a few points hinting at the possibility that they don't necessarily approve of the way it was handled, either. Whether they support and agree with us or not, they're only allowed to say so much out loud, because Japan's executive branch has got a pretty solid grip on them, and the same goes for the Legends 3 development team. Since the Japanese execs responsible for this fiasco most likely don't understand what the word crap means in the first place, running around calling them Crapcom isn't really going to do much to help our situation. What we can do is prove the Tsujimotos and their merry board of directors over in Japan wrong by helping to support the Legends Series as much as we can. If they think the game is too much of a financial risk, we need to prove that snubbing this audience and this fanbase is financial suicide. Right now the fanbase as a whole is trying to get on the same base as the fanbase in Japan, which is a crucial aspect of getting any sort of shot at communication with the execs whatsoever. First step to establish concrete ties is this Servbot design project, and I highly encourage all to jump aboard. It's simple to do, doesn't take up too much time, and could make a big impression if even a few hundred people contribute. We've also been sending Capcom of America non-hateful snail mail in support of Legends and Mega Man, and they seem to like it. There are much more constructive ways to go about voicing your anger. Also, if you're at all in the know in the stockbroking field, I've been trying to find stock quotes on Inafune's new companies, ComCept and Intercept. They're just starting out (meaning share prices are most likely low), and Inafune has been right about the Japanese gaming industry for quite some time. Even though he said he's done with Mega Man, it might be a good investment, since he isn't afraid to try something fresh and different in a market that's been growing increasingly stale, and he would probably appreciate investors who double as potential consumers and have a genuine interest in the products. The closest I've found are the contact e-mail addresses on the company websites, but not being able to type, speak, or understand Japanese is a major setback in that regard.

The Capcom brass doesn't realy seem to have any faith in their own projects except for those overpriced fighting games. (I say hypocritically after buying Super Stret Fighter IV 3D and preordering a flame red 3DS.) But with pretty much all of Capcom USA and many of Capcom's workers who aren't shareholders on our side, I'm still not giving up any hope whatsoever on this. Legends never die!!

Incidentally, I was also hoping that this year they'd make a special 10th anniversary MegaMan Battle Network Collection, seeing as how they did collections for the Classic, X, and Zero Series. But I guess no such luck...
