Alright, I've decided that I really want to pour my energy into one really amazing Remix to finally get a song accepted over at OCRemix.org. So, the point of this thread is to get your opinion on which of the following game tracks I should do. First up, we have a track from Tomb Raider: Underworld. www.youtube.com/watch?v=fzU2joBNom8I like this track, because it's...unique, I would say. I like the tone and feel of it, definitely something I could have fun with. ---------------------------------------------------- Second on the list, is from Blazing Lasers. www.youtube.com/watch?v=OXPVA0b98g4Yay, Turbo GrafX-16! I miss having this console...and this game! ---------------------------------------------------- Third on the list...is a wild-card, sort of. If you vote for this one, then I'll need you to post a track from either Mega Man Legends 1 or 2. The selection of music that gets picked the most this way will be the MML Remix. ---------------------------------------------------- Fourth! I thought you were doing work on your Project Legends application, Dash. I bet you should go with the Blazing Lasers track, though, because there probably isn't much in the way of remixes for that game yet.

Blazing Lasers is always a great choice. I've attempted that track before a few times...but back then, I didn't realize the time-sig was different for the beginning portion. ._.
And yeah, I'm still working on those. Who says a composer can't multi-task?

I like seeing the underappreciated tunes get some attention on OCR. So either of those besides FF7, which OCR already has bursting out the seams.
For a Legends remix, it's hard to pick. Of the stuff you've already done I'm probably most fond of Bruno the Great. Maybe you could add some finishing touches to that and submit it? Or if you prefer to start with something fresh, how about "Bonne Forces in the Field"? I think your style could work well with that.

lol Bruno the Great is so dated though. Nothing about it represents how I compose today. Granted, it's a great little remix. I still love the hell out of it.
Bonne Forces in the Field would be good, I always liked that one...though I've done a remix of that as well. XD

I'm going to have to vote for Blazing Lasers. Because I love my retro tunes and remixes. Can't get enough of 'em. Though Underworld sounds like it could be turned into something awesome. Anyway, can't wait to see what you end up doing.
I also can't wait to see what you're cooking up for Project Legends.

Bonne Forces in the Field would be good, I always liked that one...though I've done a remix of that as well. XD I think I missed it. Could you point me to it? I may need a list of the Legends tunes you have not yet covered to make a good suggestion. |

Well, obviously I'd like you to handle another song from Legends 1 and 2, since liking Legends is in vogue these days.  But to pick from the three songs you'd actually had in mind, Blazing Lasers. I think you'd be able to make that sound really good. |

Edich: I'm with you on that. Blazing Lasers was such an awesome game too. Underworld I just picked up like a week ago and when that track came on...I was in love.  Raijin: dashmusic.legends-station.com/mmlstuff.html There ya go. Everything from my remies to the KTOX Orchestra stuff. Dashe: I left the MML option open-ended because...well, I dunno. Wanted to see what people thought would be a really amazing track for a remix. I'm leaning towards the Battle with Geetz myself. @adrian: Honestly, I'm not very fond of Another Sun. I'm not really that much into Japanese music like that anyways. But more specifically, OCR requires the remix to have a source that was used in-game. Another Sun was not used in the game, only thrown in the OST. Also, I'm a bit of a procrastinator. lol I'll have the remix and theme sent to you probably late Friday evening/extremely early Saturday morning...like 2 or 3am early.

IIRC, Another Sun was in the game. It was included only in the Japanese version of Rockman Dash.

I listened to your whole collection of legends songs to get a little more accustomed to your style. I especially enjoyed:
-That feeling...It's love! The changes in volume and density of instrumentation makes this one stand out.
-Dragono's Death Machine. A different take on one of my favourite of the boss songs from the games. I like the piano mingling with the metal sound.
-The Refractors master. It has a classic megaman sound, but without abandoning the Legends feel.
Anywho, I'm still leaning towards another Legends song myself.
I'd like to see what you could do with the Glyde Ship boss battle music from MML 2.
If you're really leaning towards your submission being non-legends however, then I'm everyone else, stick to blazing lazers.

You mean the theme from when you're fighting him at Nino? I've attempted that before, actually. Kind of a crash 'n burn scenario...but that was ages ago. I could give it a go again.
lol Blazing Lasers seems to be a general favorite, apart from the Legends wildcard.

Well, since it looks like MML wildcard may be winning out. I'm going to throw in "The Bonne Family Burning With Vengeful Feelings" as what I'd like to see remixed.
I've always liked the song, I can't imagine preparing for battle to anything else.
