You know, 98% of me isn't even mad. Because I saw it coming. As soon as they delayed the prototype, I knew it was done for. Capcom is such shit.

Its sad to see the 'development' experiment fail like this. We we're never given a chance to prove that we wanted the game greenlit. We we're promised a prototype, only to have it pulled away. Very unprofessional in my book and hopefully Capcom will pay the price.
The people dedicated to trying to make this game a reality you have my thanks.

I just found out from Protodude's blog and I must admit that I am quite stunned, even though I was prepared.
I can't even sum up what I am feeling right now.

Sadly unlike most of you guys I was not prepared I hadn't been keeping up with the development for MML3 for over a month now, so I didn't know of that delay.
And they could of just released the prototype make some money off the hard work they put into it, since they want money so bad anyway.

Now that I think of it, I also wouldn't be surprised if that earthquake had also been a factor in this cancellation. It DID ruin a lot of planned games, and those were cancelled. The earthquake had cancelled an event in Japan where they could play demos of the Prototype...
I also feel bad for the development staff. And let's not blame them, because they didn't wanted this to happen either. They were so cheerful and optimistic about the development... It was kinda admirable actually, and was a good learning experience as well.
Edit: Either my browser is fucking up again, or falconx's icon is too wide. It's stretching out the posts...

No, falconx's avatar is too wide. By far. Keep it under 150x150 or you'll stretch the page for half the board, Falcon!

Well, I already voiced my opinion on the cancellation both at the Devroom and on Legends Never Die topic here. It's been a short while and I think I'm pretty much taking Hanky's position already. I've always been one of high hopes but low expectations. I've always likened the release of MML3 to hitting a homerun on a baseball field the size of Texas, even after the launch of the Devroom. It still hurts, of course. But I'm pretty much ready to focus on other things and hold back on a 3DS purchase now. I'll just tell myself to ignore the dialogue that mentions the Elder System and things fall in place. Megaman being stuck up in Elysium while Roll and Tron blow up rockets becomes less of a cliffhanger ending and more of a comedic ending that way. It's going to be much harder to ignore all the information available to us about the prototype, however, and I still believe that that, at least, is owed to us. Especially considering fans have directly contributed to it. So I'm going to participate in the Legends Never Die campaign, at the very least to get the prototype in consumer hands. I don't have much expectations but at least I can say I did something about it.
I just remembered something about this upcoming SDCC. Remember that "secret AAA title" Capcom's got in store for us? Wouldn't it just be so funny if it happened to be a Megaman title? Hey, hey, maybe it'll be a reboot. Ha HA. Ha HA. Haaaaaa... (Honestly, though, I'd probably laugh.)

Hmm... I wonder what'll happen to Greg, will CoA keep him around now that his job is pretty much unneeded? He's gotta be pretty upset.

Aha...this doesn't surprise me in the least. Without Inafune backing the project, there was no chance in hell it was ever going to be greenlit.
Honestly, I prefer that this happened, because my biggest fear was that they were going to ruin this game's story by having it completely detached from the first two games. And trust me, I'd rather imagine MML3 being amazing, than actually have it be a great big pile of sh*t.
The only thing I have left holding me to Crapcom is Resident Evil. But even then, they've been f*cking that series up too. Just so you guys heard it first, Crapcom is becoming the next Sega. Big at one point, but now no one even cares.

I am quite mad at CAPCOM now as well.
I don't want to make anyone worry but I had noticed that when I went to the Devroom page, the link to the forums were not there. Yet, I was able to go to the forums when I checked my History and clicked on one of the forums I had visited.
I'm busy saving anything of interest just in case they'll be closing the Devroom sooner than we think.
