Pretty spiffy, but I think it belongs in the fan-game section, even if it isn't actually your fan-game. It wouldn't be the first time one of Pressstart's games made it here behind his back. Can you actually beat it?

Is there any goal in this game or is it just running around these same four or five rooms until you lose interest? Anyway, I ran around those same four or five rooms until I lost interest. This is how many rooms I covered. I found one buster upgrade and two health upgrades in all those rooms. After a while of mindless wandering I decided to try to hit every corner of the map to see if anything interesting was there. ... nothing interesting was there. I might try and see if I can outline the edges of the map, but I imagine nothing interesting is there either. EDIT: Oh wow. There actually is a boss in here. I found him at the last possible place I had to check on the edge of the map. :37: And it's a load bearing boss even. Wow, this really is like Metroid. I got killed on the way out, and apparently that means Game Over. :37: (twice) Apparently I missed all the secrets, too. I covered so many rooms, I can't even imagine where they would be. :06:

There was no powered buster.I hate everything. Tuga, you are mad. I have no idea why anyone would do that just for fun. @_@ Just the same four rooms, over and over, forever. You end up with some crazy amount of powerups, but that's all. Or at least, that's all I found. I was curious to see the boss, but forget it already. I am not going through that again. At least not today.

HOLY CRAP. You got all the rooms?!?! More importantly, he actually filled the entire grid with rooms?!!? I like the Metroid/Castlevania map layouts better. It's just more...logical. Plus they're easier to navigate.

More importantly, he actually filled the entire grid with rooms?!!? I'm maybe pretty sure that the entire map is randomly generated as soon as you start the program, probably using some maze generating algorithm, so that all the rooms are accessible. I think it just randomly places those different four or five rooms and then tosses in the Powered Buster and Final Boss room. (And whatever else) The only thing more tedious that finding your way through those stages would have to be manually placing all 900 of them on the map. I know for sure that the boss room changes, if mltmlt22 found it on the bottom. Both times I found it, it was on the top. Santa Melty ... :01: The err... the Powered Buster room is marked by a blue square on the map. It's visible from the very beginning. You could've saved yourself a lot of time.

Yeah, I know. But I... convinced myself it was intentional, I guess. That the lack of marked square meant there was something else hidden somewhere. Guess it was really just a bug. Bad call on my part. It was only my second time playing, and it didn't seem too far-fetched to me that maybe the type of special weapon you could find was random and that some were not marked or something. >_> Yeah. Not very pleasant if you're one of us types who need to see everything. But if nothing else, my curiosity is satisfied (Mostly. Gots to beat that boss...)

Coming in late BUT thanks to all who played so far! Especially Mega Tuga; gave me some cool bug fixing hints! I honestly gotta apologize cuz that original build (and even how it is now kinda) is still very, very rough. The were only 4 random room types, and when there's 900 rooms to explore that can get very tiresome. So, I really really appreciate all you who played it without wanting to puke! buymml3pv.wordpress.com/2011/06/03/mega-man-legends-3-proto-mission/I finally got the thing working in Flash, and actually made yet another update to it today. Hopefully as I continue to work on it, it'll become much easier to navigate with more random surprises to find.
