I strongly dislike his chest armor on E this time, it looks very bland to me and it is monotone. So now he has a monotone chest and monotone abdomen. The chest armor on E is kinda what sold it for me. Really, it's not any weirder than the original design if you compare them. I'm not sure what you mean by monotone, unless you're talking about that tiny grey bit below his underarms which probably aren't going to be showing very much in game. Some nitpicking: The only things I dislike about E are the fingerless glove look, and the back I just noticed looks like he's wearing chaps. I think if they did something with the back of the thighs, and got rid of that blue belt looking thing along his lower back, it wouldn't highlight his ass cheeks so much. I actually rather liked they grey by his underarms. As Dashe noted the armor looks fairly flat and I don't care for that from an aesthetic standpoint; though I feel that it does give a removable armor look they are going for. By monotone I meant that they removed some of the cyan highlights on his chest armor which I felt helped balance out his upper half and give some visual interest. As it stands now below the neck piece it is solid dark blue transitioning into solid black, I would have liked a brighter color in between there to help break it up. Actually, overall I think I liked C better than E. E has some nice features, but as a package I liked C.

I don't like the whole open torso thing. Just looks weird, hes supposed to be blue.

Is anyone besides me a little pissed off that they basically paid lip service to the designs the fans put together, and then seem to have said "screw you, we like our own designs, so we basically won't change them at all"?
Because I look at "D" and "E" and see the exact same thing as B and C.
Both the Japanese Devroom and the American Devroom came up with several really great redesigns that could have been great contenders. Heck, Greg even said that he was talking with them about getting those designs into the running.
My comment made months back about "they probably have all three models pre-built and they just want us to pick one so they won't make any brand new ones for us" is looking more and more accurate. I mean, come on. D is basically the exact same thing as B, but with slightly smaller underwear (easily scaled). And E is C with two lines added.
-_- For people who are supposed to be listening to their respective Devrooms, they seem to have listened just enough to claim they did, but not enough to have any good ideas.
Voted for E. C was where my vote went the first time. Would have preferred to vote for one of the other fan-forms.

I don't like the thought of Rock fighting reaverbots without protection for his lower body... But those arms and legs on design E are really nice...

I like D a lot. However, I still have an issue with the sphere joints. If they can use the E joints on D, that would be perfect. My vote went to D regardless.

I myself am not anticipating either of these designs to be final, so I will exclude the precise nitpicking for the moment. Still, I'm left with a difficult decision, because both designs are really giving me the impression that the development team wants to take Megaman in new directions with equipment and mobility.
D is a safer approach to Mega Man's alteration-over-time scenario if that happens to be the case if he starts Legends 3 merely wearing the suit.
After all, we already have Barrett moving like thunder. [img=http://nintendoartwork.com/gallery/megaman-legends-3/megaman-legends-3-barrett-render-artwork-2.png[/img]
I see several users already being concerned about the under-protection, like last time. This already gives me several assumptions. Either Barrett is not going to be able to be durable enough to face the challenges that Mega Man will be facing (which leads me to assume that he will take the majority of Legends 3 play), or he can go "Crotchplate-less" and not have to worry about Zaboken bombs hitting him in that area before even exploding on contact in the first place.
Considering we have a supposed Carbon running around in fancy clothing, I would assume that Mega Man with more armor than Barrett possesses would have little to worry about if Barrett can take on Zabokens, Sharakurusus, and the Bonne Mecha.
What I see specifically in the absence of the crotch plate, is the Teams attempt to relieve that certain part of weight and constrain in an attempt to make him more acrobatic. We've already seen him run quite fast before, roll dodge and jump without problem, but it makes me wonder what sort of new mobilities that Trigger will be getting, if any.
To stray from the line of unanswered plot holes that Legends 3 could potentially have, I'm going to go with D. It seems to be the safest transition for me.

I chose design D because it is more armored than design E.
Design E should just ditch almost all the armor just have the buster cannon and some light armor on the joints. ( I think I will whip up a sketch when given the time ) The under armor looks thicker in this design.

I personally like version D. It shouts out Trigger to me. The other version has some nice touches to it (ie the elbow and knee joints) but the lack of "crotch armor" doesn't appeal to me. The lines on his under armor also remind me of the new Tron movie but I don't want to think about Tron while playing MML. I know that CAPCOM has the ideas for the armor design but I had a thought. What if Trigger started out the game in his armor from MML2 and for some reason has to upgrade to this style?
