Seth McFarlane is about as talented as an autistic maromset. I hate Family Guy. It's not funny at all. This idea is almost as bad as canceling Legends 3. Please dear gog do not let him do it.

I also find Family Guy to be one show that I don't find funny at all. I don't even want to know what the show's creator will do to The Flintstones. Try and be as shocking as possible is definite.

Even then he'd still come up short from South Park. In both entertainment value AND shock value.

Wow. Have you ever had a conversation for more than two minutes with someone who is autistic? I'm not happy about this either, but needlessly ripping on people with mental disorders isn't cool.

Let's give Seth McFarlane a chance. Maybe he can adapt his comedy to the Flinstones.
Look at American Dad in comparison to Family Guy. Even though it is for the same audience, it American Dad uses a different style of humor than Family Guy if you start to analyze their differences.

Adrian, that would be a viable source of hope if it weren't for the fact that both styles of humor are blatantly stupid, offensive and dejective to what their jokes are about...
I myself don't like either show...heck the only thing i liked was the fact that the baby in FG is pure evil but humor like that dies uber quickly...and i'd much rather it have been some stuffed doll.

I'd have rather they'd cast a real kid as Stewie the way Trey and Matt always had a kid playing Ike Broflovsky. Something about overaged casting in cartoons really grinds my gears.

Ike's were worse. If Trey and Matt could get away with that, Seth could get away with Stewie being voiced by, at the very least, a grown woman with a really good little boy voice. Ike's voice actors were often toddlers, though. Same deal with any of the kindergarteners and preschoolers shown in South Park.

Seth McFarlane is about as talented as an autistic maromset. I am offended at that. I have a form of autism... :40: But nonetheless, I don't know how Seth McFarlane's attempt to reboot the Flintstones will work out, I'll have to see it for myself.

I don't know. I kind of like certain episodes of Family Guy. I have a best friend (a wrestler by the name of Colt "Boom Boom" Cabana,) who's brother is an animator for Family Guy. Small world eh?

Seth McFarlane is about as talented as an autistic maromset. I am offended at that. I have a form of autism... :40: I have autism too, difference? I researched what he meant, via PM. Anyways I doubt it'll work: The actor who played the father from Full house went onto a sitcom with a role of being ruder, cruder, and whatnot, guess what: he was the show's momentum and it B.O.M.B.E.D. BADLY. Seth Mcfarlane will repeat this, why? The Flintstones (and full hosue father) were 'family safe', the actor's new role wasn't and thus any momentum the show had died upon tv-debut... As have most following that pattern...and so will a McFarlane Flintstones.

Sorry to necro-post, but I didn't see anyone bring it up and I thought I'd share a bit to at least alleviate some apprehension. While Family Guy and the like is what made him famous and successful, it's only a portion of his career, here's the beginning portion from Wikipedia: I won't say he's talented or good or anything. But the guy has actually worked for Hanna-Barbera before, and has experience with kid's cartoons. He's also a really big fan of old Hanna-Barbera kid's cartoons, big enough to actually bring one back to television. I think he might actually be able to do this. Not saying he will, but he certainly has the potential. He may have gotten the sway to reboot this show from marketing low-brow humor, but if he can bring his early years back for the show it should be okay. Also, with his debut album, his new movie, and now this, I get the impression of someone who's trying to pull himself out of the type casted writing rut that Family Guy's success has dug him in.

I apologize for offending anyone.
However, I can't see any productive result of writing talent from Family Guy. It's just base and lewd.

I like Family Guy because of Stewie.. I think there's a cultural difference here. WEST COAST!
