Do you guys think we will have a poll with every character? Come on, that would be pretty sweet, even if our favorites don't when, that would say alot about this project if there was a poll for every character. I'd rather we didn't get a poll for any. The Aero poll was pushing it. I'm reminded why I was opposed to the fan input to begin with.

Finally some focus on Mega Man. <3
It's between A or B for me. I never had a problem with the grey for his MML2 design, so that was going to be my first choice. Then I looked at B and liked all of the extra details on him. And this is going to sound weird but I think B makes his legs look really nice. Still a toss up for me, but it will definitely be one of these.
I cannot get over the lack of a crotch plate on C. That is the first thing I noticed. I think any digger, male or female, should have protection for their junk.

I wasn't into the community stuff at the beginning but, you know, at least it's being made. I've excepted the community stuff even though alot of the winners so far I haven't liked. If we are doing community stuff, we might as well go all out. I highly doubt they will do this for everybody, but still I think they will probably do it for a few more characters, maybe Roll next. (and finally acknowledge the new jumpsuit design.}

I'd rather we didn't get a poll for any. The Aero poll was pushing it. Was it that bad, man? I thought it was a pretty cool idea: having nine different artists draw up designs for a new character in MegaMan Legends. There was a lot of creativity involved there. It was neat. You've gotta let that one go. I really don't get why you're still going on about it. :21: That said, I'm really hoping they don't do polls for all the characters. In fact, I'm hoping they just carry over the characters' outfits from previous games. It'd feel a bit awkward if all the characters in MegaMan Legends 3 have strange new designs. I mean, I get changing MegaMan, because MegaMan changed from the first to the second game anyway. (Not to mention I didn't particularly care for the design from MegaMan Legends 2 anyway.) And I'm not sure what's going on with Roll's new one-piece get-up, but I'd really prefer if they just left the characters' designs alone. Although, alternate outfits could be nice, for different scenarios. But that's another idea for another thread. If they do post more polls I hope they make them more interesting. Not just a slight variation on the original design, and a slight variation on that slight variation. Or maybe they should keep it uninteresting, so it can do the least damage possible. You know, for people who get all upset about silly things like crotch-plates. (Imagine the backlash if they tried to remove Tron's crotch-plate... :1C: :37:) (Meanwhile, if seeing MegaMan in an apron didn't bug me, seeing him sans-crotch-plate sure as hell won't.)

I can see why people would want to keep the character designs the same as MML1, but I'm up for slight costume design changes. Like the new Roll get up, it definitely looks like something Roll would wear and keeps all of the old costumes charm. I don't want anything wildly different, but anything with the bounds of what they did with Roll I'm up for.

You've gotta let that one go. I really don't get why you're still going on about it. :21: Not sure why I singled that one out. I guess it was just the first event to spring to mind. EDIT- Also, for the record, the poll itself wasn't so bad now that I remember it. I think I was more worried about them adding yet another female lead, apparently just for the sake of having one. So scratch that, I guess. Wasn't a big deal at all. The crotchlessness isn't really what I dislike about "C", it's the concept behind it. With the bionic aspect out in the open, I was hoping people would be more inclined to embrace Volnutt's cool physical oddities. Now he needs to be " more human". They'll be removing an aspect of the games I really admired. Forget his crotch. I actually really like Roll's mechanic overalls. It isn't slutty or fanservicy, and it's in character. Very much in spirit of the series.

Color-wise, I like the 'transition' that the second one can symbolize; specifically from bright colors to the duller colors that shows how more 'serious' things are getting.
Structure-wise, I will be more than glad to see the DASH2 armor given a bit more details and if anything, a different backpack unit (I for one, welcome the Digouter equivalent of the I.W.S.P).
@ in·clover: Definetly. Tron is supposed to be the 'temptress' of the two anyway.

Man.. I really like the C one but the B one also looks cool.
Everyone is putting love/hate on option C because of the torso that gives Megs a BN look. Seriously I'm okay with that. he even has a butt plate XD.

Hmm. Anyone else noticing how Megaman's hair is of a lighter shade in B and C? It looks like the new versions are trying to have that hint of Legends one brought back into it, especially since we're having the art style of Legends 1 for Reaverbots now.
Call me slightly naive, but I do think that around three options were appropriate for this. I mean, originally we were all anticipating just a polished up version of the Legends 2 suit, however now we're getting two new completely options that give significant and small alterations to his armor. Sure, we could have as many as nine different choices, but what is visually changing pieces of armor are already being designed (i.e. The Helmet and the Armored Jackets)? Perhaps now we'll see more changes to Megamans appearance when we equip more advanced and sophisticated pieces.
Then again, it just may be Helmet and the Jet Skate alterations.
I ended going up with Design B as my vote, but I'm not going to shun away Design C either. After all, we're going to be looking at Trigger's back most of the time. The butt-plate does serve the formula design justice, even though we have no idea how durable and protective those black tights are.
I mean to say, the only time we've seen Megaman cruciate pain was Juno's imprisonment in Legends 1. Who can say for sure what kind of physical pain and damage he even experiences in the first place? Especially when he can recover from a massive Servitor Unit Kamakaze at point blank?

After studying field DIY, he just takes a good number of his sub-weapons and makes this contraption (design courtesy of a certain MSV):

I'm kind of torn between B and C, with a little more emphasis on C. The lack of a crotch plate doesn't bother me at all; designs like that have been seen in the X series, as well as Zero, EXE, and SF. The fact that there's a butt-plate yet no crotch plate does strike me as a little odd, though this probably isn't the final revision for the design, so that may change over time should it be selected. The black gloves are a cool touch to design C as well. I also like the fact that this armor tends to convey a sense of agility and speed due to the more streamlined look.
Granted, I don't think that they had to deliberately "make him look more human", but really the only thing more human-like about him is the torso. We've seen Megaman in an apron before, so it's not as much of a stretch to give him a more noticeable torso when he's armor-clad as well as in the kitchen.
That said, if it were me, I'd outright give the player the option to choose a different armor design solely as a cosmetic choice. More options never hurt, and you kind of get to cater to fans of all 3 designs.
Funny how Design A has darker hair than the others; never really picked up on the fact that his hair darkened up in MML2.

In my opinion, I also don't see why Design C makes him look 'more human'. I can only assume by the hands and the... crotch. That's an easy one, look at this picture of the Legends 2 artwork: The part in red? I don't think that's how it works. The part in blue is just too thin, the part in green is too thin too, so as far as the artwork goes it just looks wierd, the actual model in Legends 2 had better proportions though. I'm not sure if I'll vote for B or C, B is pretty cool, I like C because it does look more human, but the lack of codpiece looks odd... I'll decide after I get back from college. >_>'

Two things: Alright some progress! Things are picking up again and we get to participate...........with a poll. Then OMG official artworks!!!! Must have them............ I think before all is said and done my Rockman folder is going to be over 16 GB in size. I looked over each design, A was alright a bit spiffy, B looked more sleeker and smoothed out than A and for design C, I really liked the shoulders on that one. I chose B though I like the way it smoothed out the edges. Though they could have just went this route with the armor: Option D ;D
