That is the scariest thought I've ever heard before in my life. All the more reason to hope B is picked... It's popular here, even if it's not popular in the unity comments. I haven't read all the pages, but so far it seems like a mixed bag. We just have to mass together. :22: Mikéy:Your words have the ring of truth, Mikey. Yes, they ring true... The only other reason I can think of us being unpopular was that the Bonnes stole their toliet paper, but did not give it back.. Loken: Didn't see that one- that looks even more awkward- Were the designers thinking of reaverbots who attack by kicking diggers in the butt when they made this one?? ;D @hf: Impressive design riff- I guess Mega Man's a fan of gundam? I'll have to look into this- more than likely, I'll vote for the B design, but that will have to wait until dusk- school starts in a hour, for me..:11::15:

In my opinion, I also don't see why Design C makes him look 'more human'. I can only assume by the hands and the... crotch. That's an easy one, look at this picture of the Legends 2 artwork: The part in red? I don't think that's how it works. The part in blue is just too thin, the part in green is too thin too, so as far as the artwork goes it just looks wierd, the actual model in Legends 2 had better proportions though. I'm not sure if I'll vote for B or C, B is pretty cool, I like C because it does look more human, but the lack of codpiece looks odd... I'll decide after I get back from college. >_>' Skinny arms and torso is a very common thing of the Legends series. And besides all of those, he still doesn't look that human to me.

...designs like that have been seen in the X series, as well as Zero, EXE, and SF. This is true. Except for the most part, each series' style is incomparable to one another, and this is unlike anything we've seen in Legends. I'm not opposed to change if the change is logical and fitting, but this is pretty alien to anything in the last 3 games. Maybe Adventure Tour, but I haven't played that one. >_> Granted, I don't think that they had to deliberately "make him look more human", but really the only thing more human-like about him is the torso. The torso is not the only blatantly human part of it. Ahem. But yeah. It seems the general consensus is More Human = More Betterer. The robot like sockets and joints along with all the funky proportions and size discrepancies are a staple of the series. You see that in nearly every armor-clad ( in some cases, unarmored) character in the series. It's WELCOME. That's obviously what the designers were going for all those years ago. I'd outright give the player the option to choose a different armor design solely as a cosmetic choice. More options never hurt, and you kind of get to cater to fans of all 3 designs. All for that. Or maybe... Some cool visual alterations with enhancements? With MML1, you had only these sprites and your imagination to visualize the difference. It would be neat if they began the game with something relatively faithful to the MML2 design, and gradually changed with every upgrade. Maybe even for individual parts, ala the jump springs.

That's an idea I like. Some folks might want to tinker with the armor in some ways to create a unique look. I remember trying to cook up a more traditional set of armor in regards to the Prophecy painting in the first Legends game, though I'm getting curious about doing that armor in an oriental or ancient roman style... More or less, this would be a visual asthetic, but the idea has a little appeal, thought I'm certain someone will say otherwise along the way...

I always thought it was lazy when the developers don't change the character's in-game armor with the new armor you get. MML3 should definitely change the armor plate if you can buy additional armor.

Here's rooting for B. There's been too many alterations fan made that have been drawing my attention and stirring up my stomach. I've never considered the look of Megaman this much before. This Poll is going to keep me on edge for a while. :07:

The thing is, I really like almost all of those redesigns better than the offical C option. Just having something blue on this lower torso at all balances it out so much better than not really having anything there in the first place.

I say there's no use in mulling over it right now. I'm pretty sure most of the devroom has voted by now, and all we can do is see the results and see if Capcom notices the suggestions... and even still, if B does win this poll, we'll be unable to negate all of the complaining and Volnutt will likely wind up having part of his armor set to "carbon" anyway; providing Capcom takes notice.
But at any rate, what we'll be will be.

But at any rate, what we'll be will be. ...Que sera, sera.♪ That's my attitude, generally. Especially when it comes to anything involving ye devroom. But this. I have this silly, paranoid dillusion festering away in the back of my mind that Capcom is trying to phase out the series' signature style in favor of something more appealing to the masses ( something more Rockman Zero'esque, or Battle Networky). If they're using this poll to gauge our reaction to the design, then use that as a basis for the direction of the game as a whole, I'm gonna be pretty fucking miffed. I have no basis for any of this except paranoia, of course.

It my be paranoia, but it does make sense. I don't know about the phasing out of the MML style, but using Trigger as an example of how they think we want other characters to look like seems about right.

The thing about Carbons, at least theorized by some fans, is that they're kinda the same concept as the whole cyborg theme brought in the ZX series. Namely humans with robotic parts, and robots with human parts. (I don't see how that's possible, scientifically, but still.) But perhaps maybe Carbons are somewhat of a more advanced form of this. It would make sense, considering Carbons are just artificial humans.
Like, maybe they don't just wear armors, but the armors physically become part of their own body. I guess that would explain the inconsistencies Trigger has when switching from his armor, to him wearing an orange apron for instance. As such, maybe they don't have to look human-like.
I think that's what largely makes up the Legends style.
That's just my view at least.

Sorry Dr.Jerk but the reploids we're given lifespans not organic parts. But yeah like you said carbons would just be the next step up from that. I blame Neo Arcadia and their genetic experimentation for all that.
Legends for me is a post apocolypic world where things aren't as them seem. Sure its the halcyon days but a hidden danger is always there waiting for the right time to decend on the carbons. A dangerous fun world full of pirates, leebirds, deflectors and apricot pie. Still haven't found any though.... ;D

I'm not really concerned about the whys and wherefores, mostly the atmosphere of the game. I'm getting way ahead of myself, though. Or not, I do remember them saying they'd be making a lot of changes to the character designs. I'm just disappointed is all. The same way some dislike Aero's voice, or how people used to complain about Zero (but I can't be opposed to something that could potentially make it into the game? Seems a little unfair ). I'll get over it. But for now, I can at least bitch about it.
