I like what I'm seeing so far! I can only hope they bring back the vending machines, too, and the silly little shops where you get to browse through clothes and electronics! While I'm sure Kattelox will always be special to all of us, this is looking pretty nice from what they've shown.
Man, I feel like I ought to make a long, rambling, gushy post on this, but I'm just not feeling it. Here's to Klickelan Island living up to the hype! *Toasts with a bottle of Cherry Coke*

I like the idea all in all, and the island looks awesome. I didn't really have a problem with the island hopping in MML2, as it was nice for the flutter to have a little bit of purpose. But why should the group be confined to a single island? Is that engine that Roll bought w/ MM's weapons already malfunctioning? *shudder*
I can't wait for more to turn up though. Klickelan Island looks like an awesome digger's site.

So far I think the island really fits teh Halycon Days... I really was expecting something more futuristic but.. I tend to forget that technology in MML story isn't that evolved (compared to ours we just don't have awesome refractors.)

This looks good and it definatly brightens my day today. Cheers! *drinks Coke*.
Anyone misread the island's name the first time for Kicklekan Island (Kick, Le (french for the), Can)?

Cheers! ∗ drinks Mountain Dew ∗ Nightshade Nice accidental play on the name. Wish I'd thought of it, but no. I double double double checked the spelling of the name when I first read it, because I can just tell this is gonna be my kind of island! Now I kind of wish it were spelled that way... (Also, d-e-f-i-n-i-t-e-l-y :22:) Mikéy The Flutter had loads of purpose in Legends 1, though. By being broken down it left you with no alternative but to stay on Kattelox until you could get it repaired. And it allowed you to access the Clozer Woods subgate after you fixed it. I think the purpose the Flutter served in Legends 2 was a bit slapped on. You needed a means of travel between the different little islands; the Flutter allows you to go anywhere between them whenever you feel like it... just seems kind of silly. I think it served a more interesting purpose being broken down in Legends 1 than being souped up and operational in Legends 2. As for how the Flutter should break down or something in Legends 3? I still rather like the idea that the Bonnes steal it. Or blow it up. Or both. Or just sabotage it? I dunno; why not?

I get it now, the purpose of fully fixing flutter DOES become a little less evident the longer MM is stuck on the island though, with the whole "uncovering secrets" and such. Then the island hopping, whoop de doo, yeah. I might go post in those threads. lol
SO Taking another look at Temeo City, it looks like a good spot to be the "central city", and it almost reminded me of Clock Town... If you get the reference. It does look like a pretty big city, but there's no way it can span the entire island. I'm wondering what the other cities will be like... It'd be pretty surprising if we came across an island that's just one big giant Digger's Community.

Looking at the island and reading the description, it totally feels like it's going to be a one-island-game. But yeah, nothing is confirmed sooo...
If you let my imagination run wild for a second... the fact that such a large percentage of the population are diggers, can tie into are previous multi-player wishes/predictions. You could walk into certain establishments and ask to "meet a digger" and the game takes you to a character creator where you spec out your dude and then connect online and explore with other players. I believe Dragon Quest 9 does it in a similar fashion. But this is just imagination...

I get it now, the purpose of fully fixing flutter DOES become a little less evident the longer MM is stuck on the island though, with the whole "uncovering secrets" and such. That's part of the charm of it really. You start out Legends 1, just thrown headfirst into the action. Then you crash-land on Kattelox, and have to search for a means to repair your ship, only to find that you'll have to dig for any required materials yourself. And before you know it you get caught up in the action of fighting off pirates and getting to the bottom of the island's mysteries. By the time you fix the Flutter, you forget that it was ever broken — at least, I did. And then you inadvertently go about triggering (hah, triggering) the great catastrophe everyone on the island was worried about in the first place! And then saving them from it. (By then, I'd also forgotten about that) Bottom-line, if you'd found the parts to fix the Flutter in the Junk Shop in the Apple Market, the whole game never would've happened. You could've packed it up and been on your way before the Bonnes attacked City Hall. ... the fact that such a large percentage of the population are diggers, can tie into are previous multi-player wishes/predictions. Man, do I love that idea. If ever there was a perfect setting for a multiplayer take on Legends, its this island here. I have severe doubts that it will become reality, but it sure would be sweet. And I would die if they made a Legends character creator. I would absolutely die, and I would die a happy man. I could just imagine if they revealed that, Capcom saying something like “Did you think it was cool when we let you customize the NPCs for Legends 3? Then, you're gonna love this!” (and so on) But again... severe doubts. Although I do have some reason to believe that multiplayer might not be quite so far-fetched too. We'll have to wait and see. For now I'll just keep dreaming.

Alright, this is perfect! This is pretty much how I predicted the island would work out, based on that short video we saw no too long ago (with the Servbot waving). It looks like we'll be on one main island again, but it's quite large (looks larger than Kattelox, even) and seems to have varying climates and terrains depending on the location. I really want to believe that the white stuff behind the mountains is snow (please?), but it could be fog; it's a little hard to make out.
It's nice to actually see some other diggers for a change as well! That was something that we really lacked in the previous games (no diggers in a 'Digger's Guild', really?), so it's cool that they improved on that. The whole bit about the mechanical parts is interesting in more ways than one. Not only does this explain and canonize a lot of the character designs and why they look the way they do, it kind of functions as another tie-in to ZX. That's the era where the human/reploid line started to fade, as humans began to use mechanical parts quite often, and the trend has carried over to the carbons in the Legends series.
Overall this is looking really good, and I'm looking forward to seeing the progression in development on this new island.
And I really hope that's snow behind that mountain!

Trust me, it's clouds and fog. The developers probably don't want us speculating too early about the back side of the island, either because they want to keep it secret or they haven't been able to decide what should be put there.

I would also bet (and hope) on clouds and fog for that region on the other side of the mountain. Snow would be neat, but I don't like the idea of having such a wildly different climate on the same island. Sounds screwy to me. On the other hand, some kind of clouds or fog covering everything would be interesting in a newish sort of way, which would be neat. But we'll see. My initial thought was that that was a snowy region, too. I hadn't even considered that those were clouds ’til I saw someone say it here. But now all I can see are clouds. So I dunno.
I'm wondering what's going on in that shadowy region in the middle. And whether there will be anything interesting on those patches of land that are just a little ways out in the water. I can't wait to get more information on this island. <3

I hope that side of the island is COMPLETELY covered in ruins.

Neither of the names are really doing it for me, they sound too awkward to pronounce (I keep reading Tomeo instead of Teomo) but that's a very minor detail since the island looks very, very nice. An entire city of diggers; what a neat idea. I hope the ruins will live up to their reputation. All I would be happy with would be if (1) they make the island (along with the other subsequent islands in the game, if there are going to be any) very large and (2) they actually put a lot of things to do on the island. As long as they have that, I'll be satisfied, but I'm sure I'll be satisfied whatever they do anyway. Also, neat ideas with the multiplayer functions. I really, never once thought of that, but it could work. It would really be neat if one could be a digger and the other a spotter (the mic (should there be a mic on the 3DS... I don't really see why there wouldn't be) would be perfect for such a function. The only problem for me would be that I am certain absolutely no one I know would be interested in purchasing the game, let alone a 3DS. Maybe they can work out some kind of Wi-Fi multiplayer... This is really getting me excited. The island looks gorgeous. I'm hoping for some varied environments as well!
