I'm sure you know by now what concerns me about the fan input. That is, at least 95% of the game should focus on Rock's present. Any less than 75% gets an angry fist-shake and a complaint from the complaint guy. That's me, I'm the complaint guy.

...Tsk, whenever I think that this will be the last Megaman Legends game ever made...ugh, whatever. Might as well be happy the 3rd is finally here. I think Keiji Inafune knows what he's doing in terms of what the plot is going to be like. He's had 10 years to plan it out, and I think his focus for the fans is more on gameplay aspects as opposed to plot aspect.

[Keiji Inafune]'s had 10 years to plan it out, and I think his focus for the fans is more on gameplay aspects as opposed to plot aspect. Actually, in a recent interview they suggested that fans may actually be able to do as much as write the plot themselves and send it in for certain parts. We're hoping these parts will be minor, but it's also pretty clear that they don't have a story in mind that's written in stone yet. We have to see where it goes. EDIT: Oh, and as for Legends 3 being the last Legends game, well that's still debatable. The quote may be misinterpreted. It's kind of tricky. We ought to get someone on that. (assuming you were talking about the quote and not just speculating)

Oh no...really? In that case, I hope they're just using it as a way to build up more hype for the new game instead of actually going with plot ideas from fans. It'd be like building a new game from a fanfiction. Now, while I've read some pretty interesting Megaman Legends fanfiction out there...I'm still apprehensive towards making a game based off of them. I'd prefer if Keiji Inafune keeps true to his plan for the game, and makes it the way HE wants it to, most of all. As for Legends being the last game, I remember in the NYCC vid, of Keiji stating that this is the "final chapter" of Megaman Legends, or something along those lines. And with rumours of him becoming discontent with Capcom and retiring soon...I'm starting to wonder. Also, it seems he's definitely trying to pour his whole heart and soul into making this one, almost as a sort of "last resort" type of effort. I guess we'll wait and see.

It's possible he meant that if the fans don't support Legends 3 enough, Legends 2 will be the final chapter of the series. (We might not get it still I guess) I've heard mixed things about it, but no one has been perfectly clear, or knowledgeable enough to actually translate what he says and see if the subtitles were just being vague. >.< It's a bit of a headache. I don't think that interpretation is likely though; it sounds like this is it for Legends.

I'm very interested myself in what the outcome of this spiel will be--I can absolutely guarantee you all that it will be a very weird year now. For starters, me and a whole slew of other smarties are keeping check on the Devroom to ensure that it doesn't flood with utter stupidities; there are simply too many freaking loonies over there, some even muttering the return of MAVERICK HUNTER ZERO as a character--I'd rather eat brains and get corpu. Then again, some of the hardies are annoying and destroy discussions with their bad manners, but I always get through well.

I agree with you. Zero doesn't belong in Legends, unless it's a really lame comic character ironically named "Zero" that has nothing to do with the Reploid character.
......Gray Fox! Colonel, that poster was GRAY FOX!

Naaah, I don't think Keiji is up to committing suicide on that level. Announcing Legends 3 and then going off and saying, "Ah, nevermind." would end up with some pretty ugly results.
As for the overly zealous Zero fans and the elitists in the devroom, well...what can anyone do about it? It's like that for every single popular video game/series in existence, lol.

From what I've seeing most of the Zero Yaysaysers are being shot down anyway. Shot down quickly and violently by intelligent folks like ourselves, as well as somewhat less intelligent folks who've actually played Legends often enough to understand that Zero has no place in it. Nearly every time, actually.
The elitists are the ones you've really got to keep an eye on--those Legends 1 and 2 purists who aren't open to progress and don't realize that ten years is as long as it really is.

Ironically, the game can't be complete dual-analog due to the system it's on. Maybe that's part of the reason it'll be on 3DS.

Elitists and Zero Yayers are both equally scary in my opinion. One is absolutely strict about making changes while the other is much too liberal in making changes. aarond- Um, don't you mean the other way around? Like, the reason it can't be dual analog is because it's on the 3DS?

The Zero supporters are at least much easier to outnumber. At least for now they are. :17:
And they're ALWAYS easier to argue with. The overly-liberal guys are far less likely to have actually played the games, while the elitists clearly have.

lol @ a member named N.--he makes very good points, but he's also very rude to everyone except me on occasion. He's going to be a troublemaker, even if accidentally so.
The Libby Lilies, as I call them, simply don't know what made Legends so interesting in the first place: exploration of ruins, the characters, Rob Smith, etc.

I thought Rob Smith was a 100% deal even on GameFAQs! Nobody hates Rob Smith. >_<

He is a 100% deal, and even the developers are aware. I just listed him as part of the general scope of what many of the posters don't understand in a Legends game, and so we must cringe every time someone makes a post requesting for the game to be like Monster Hunter--I hate grinding.
