As for who Trigger ends up with, I'd say go ahead and use that timeless cliche, where he's completely oblivious to both of them liking him, ends up looking stupid because of that, and they (Tron and Roll) both realize that he's an "idiot" to have not noticed them yet, (though they still like him, of course) and they become friends. er- friendly rivals, I guess. Whatever. You know what I mean. And we never find out who he ends up with.

Also, I'd really like to see the License Tests return. I loved the S-License Test, as it was a true test of skill that taught you quite a bit about digging. They should be re-takeable too, just for brushing up and such. An SS-License test would be a nice challenge as well.
*is shot*
Come to think of it, I'd drool at the thought of a boss rush mode. :13:

I generally want to be surprised with this game but I do have a few wishes, that I don't think are necessary to make a good sequel...
As far as the story: -I prefer the focus to be kept on the carbons(like a lot of you guys have said already) but they definitely shouldn't ignore the larger lore all together. -I think the story is innocent enough so that if they never answer who Trigger ends up with it's probably more appropriate.(Also, Tron is the only logical answer :12: ) -I'd be somewhat annoyed if the first two or three boss fights are the Bonnes again but I'd understand if they contrived some way for them to be "enemies" again.
As far as the gameplay: -I think it would be cool if you could take multiple special weapon with you at the same time. I know Roll normally has to "install" them on you but they could invent something, right? That would make me use stuff like the Vacuum more. -I would like the Digger Licenses to return and I'd encourage a lot of optional Ruins. Some to be really hidden and difficult but they have a lot of Zenny reward. So you can farm these if you want to max upgrade all the weapons. -I generally enjoy variety in my games so the approach MML2 took would be preferred, y'know... going to many different town as apposed to just one for the whole game.
As far as the 3DS: -I wouldn't be surprised if there was a large multiplayer aspect to this game. Mostly one that mimics the Monster Hunter formula. If that's the case I'd much prefer that part to be separate from the main story line. That way the story isn't compromised and you can customize you're own digger. -I think the core gameplay could work just fine without the touch screen but it'd be nice if you could use it for menus and possible mini games. Same goes with the tilt options.

As far as the story: -I prefer the focus to be kept on the carbons(like a lot of you guys have said already) but they definitely shouldn't ignore the larger lore all together. It would be hard to find a middle-ground here, considering how much was revealed at the end of Legends 2, but I'd have to agree, if that were possible. Hah! ∗high-fives∗ I don't think they can answer that question without alienating half of the fanbase, really. I have my doubts that they ever will — but I really hope it's not one of the things about which they want input from the fans... I'm really hoping this happens myself, but maybe not the first two or three boss fights.. Turning around and attacking MegaMan/co. as soon as they get back would be pretty sinister, though. :16: This I don't get because I use the Vacuum Arm all the time. You can kill reaverbots with your buster, or the Lifter (<3), so it makes zenny farming so much easier to bring the Vacuum Arm. Your other special weapons are boss killers; you don't really need them for anything else. o.o I have nothing to say about this one, but I absolutely agree. Disagree × 1,000,000 (!) Kattelox was full of amazing little details that gave it loads of personality. The towns in MML2 were more like regular (boring) RPG towns with two shops, an inn and a few houses. Yeah, this is what I would hope for, although I think it would be unprecedented. I always thought Legends would be a cool multiplayer series, but that's really rare in MegaMan games that aren't Battle Network or Star Force. Then again, as I recall the Battle Network team contained many members from the DASH team, so who knows?

They can also leave Shoebafun out of the game. I truly hated those things, and I'll be pretty ticked if I end up walking into another one. They don't bother me now nearly as much as they did when I was younger but still.
On the flip side, I'd actually like to see invisible Sharukurusu make a return.

Two random Legends 3 thoughts occurred to me today: 1. I hope they remember some of the minor characters from the 1 and 2, like Dantz, Art, Johnny, or Tuttle. Heck, it would even be cool to see if Ira's become a world traveller like she wanted to and got over her tragically debilitating speech problems... 2. I wonder if/how Glyde survived that train crash...

Yeah, I'd really like to see a lot of the characters from Legends 1 and Misadventures make a comeback. I would love to run into other Diggers in the ruins or something like that, too. (I get that Volnutt's the youngest Digger to attain an S-Class Digging License, but he's not the only digger in the world, geez!)
I'm sure Glyde survived the train scene, which is incidentally one of my favorite scenes in Legends 2. =D Teisel is so awesome.

Hm? I thought they just disconnected his car. I guess he might have exploded after the fight or something. And yeah, they need to at very least cameo some of the Shala Kun diggers.
I know they won't do this, but I'd be so pissed if they started you off on Elysium and made you go through the hoops of getting back to Terra. That ending was so insignificant. At least as far as Rock being stranded goes.
Bring back Ye Olde Gesellschaft. :31:

At least as far as Rock being stranded goes. I've always mentally pictured the intro stage taking place on Elysium, with a short boss fight (just to get you used to the controls). I'd imagine you'd get to beat up on some old reaverbot for practice. It'd be like MML1's intro stage, in that it's some area that you won't visit again, as you'll head to Terra immediately after.

Somehow, Loath and the Birdbots are the ones who end up making it to Elysium Station.
Since we apparently don't want MegaMan to obviously end up with Tron, even though that's the only NATURAL conclusion...cough...we can have a dating sim! Include some extra characters like Denise and such to flesh it out.

You're not talking about making Refractor Thrust a reality, are you?!?!

That sounds dirty! This is a FAMILY forum!!!!!
MegaMan could have a different girl in each town! You could fit Yuna and Sera in there somehow, too. Oh, did I just say "fit?"

Hey, you're the one who originally suggested that title back in the day! Back in that "Stupid Spinoff Game Idea" thread, which had to have been '05. :-\
This is what I get for having to wade through ancient threads moving everything that was related to Legends 3 to this board.

2005? Man, I barely remember that year. Just wait 'til you get old, young lady!

I may be almost ten years younger than you, but I feel old anyway. When you start waiting for a game as a very young teenager and don't get it until after you've got a bachelor's degree and a leg up into the entertainment industry, you feel old nonetheless.
