Oh yeah. Those slipped my mind. Oy. But nonetheless it doesn't necessarily have to be DASH3 for it to be a DASH announcement all the same. Might be X9 too, unless there's something else I'm missing, though I'm betting we're probably the loudest fans out there. Especially after Comic-Con.

What RockBuster said. And the PSP ports of Rockman DASH 1 and 2 have done quite well from what I gather. It's been re-issued at least twice; once as a "Best Of" kind of deal ("Capcom Collection" or something) and again with both games on a single UMD. Actually, the third re-issue is just a bundle. Each game is still in it's own UMD. And like I said in the MegaMan Legends Coming to PSN? thread: if MegaMan Legends makes it to PSN, then it also hints that Capcom may really be ready to announce a MegaMan Legends 3. After all, it'll get the English speaking audience exposed to the first two games if they haven't played them already.

It really seems like we're getting an addition to the ROCKMAN DASH storyline, be it a side game or an actual MML3 I dont know But hey, I'm happy either way.

Ya' know, if this actually does turn out to be a 'side game' (To reignite the hype for MML3) I don't mind either, but I hope it offers substance. What I mean to say is, I hope it fleshes out the story somewhat. If it runs out to be another, "Roll and Megman stumble across an island rumored to be home to many large refractors" I'm honestly going to be disappointed.
How about a game that actually explains what happened to 'Trigger'? (Although I suppose that would be asking too much from Capcom.) Geez, I'm still waiting on them to finish off the X series. Sure, after X4 things started going downhill with Keiji and the dev. team, but after going on about the Elf Wars in the Zero series, I seriously want to see X go out in his final blaze of glory. I mean, a period in the timeline where X actually manages to live up to his badass status without having Zero to use as a crutch?
C'mon! That's just a cruel tease.

Ya' know, if this actually does turn out to be a 'side game' (To reignite the hype for MML3) I don't mind either, but I hope it offers substance. It would fit with my own personal dream continuation of the series. Before MML3, "The Misadventures of Tron and Roll". No Volnutt until the ending. Bridges the gap between 2 and 3. Of course, it would be no different from MML3 in terms of the required support. It may actually be more difficult to market without the "Megaman" in the title, a problem that plagued the original MoTB. So while I'd definitely like to see the Legends rebirth start with a side-game like that, I think the only feasible move for Inafune would be to go straight to MML3.

I disagree 100% with Traingham. I would love to see a new game that just emphasizes the life of Diggers: exploring ruins, finding treasure, fighting pirates, etc.. I think Capcom could take all the plot elements (mostly introduced in Legends 2) and throw them out, for all I care. It seemed like Legends 2 really killed a lot of the spirit of the series, by turning MegaMan's regular every day job as a Digger into a quest to find the biggest treasure on the planet, save the world and discover all the secrets of his unnecessarily mysterious past. All in the same day! (not really)

Yeah, I'm with Green on that one. I fell in love with the series because it felt like something I could relate to, not the tried-and-true "Okay, time to save the world" bit. To this day I still prefer the first game over the second for this very reason, even if the scope of Legends 2 was a lot bigger and a lot of the game's features were improved. It just felt more real, if that makes any sense at all.

Sure, I'll admit that the charm that made the spirit of the Legends series was not nearly as present in the second game of the series. Toning down on the Bonnes was a miss in my opinion, but while that may be true I'd still like to see the series move forward.
Unfortunately I may have expressed myself improperly in my last post. (*sigh*) I'm all for what you said Green. A game like that would have everything I'd expect from the series. What I meant was I'd be disappointed if they release a game solely focused on dungeon hopping.
Kind of like: Mission Menu Mission 1: Find the large refractor. Mission 2: Find and eliminate the invisible sharukurusu Mission 3: Reach the final chamber within the alloted time.
You know, that sort of thing. My suggestion for a game on Elysium was just that, another suggestion.

I'd prefer MML3 to be a story driven console experience but it wouldn't surprise me if they released a Legends game(part three or a side game) that was essentially Monster Hunter. It's really popular in Japan and it would raise their possibilities of selling well(in Japan, not so much in the US).

Capcom Unity may seem like getting info straight from the source sometimes, but the bloggers there either don't know the secret release plans, or are good at keeping the secrets. When you notice that much of their Megaman-related news from Japan uses MMNetwork as a source, you realize they're not necessarily the first to break th news we want to hear.
Dashe has got it though. When it comes to merch they get to sell in their store? That's where the breaking news comes in.

@ kkdog4sado; You don't sound crazy. As a matter of fact, this remminds me of the Clock Tower Connections thread on DCJ. (Useful Timelines are Useful.)
That aside, the timelines are a good tool for this kind of thing. *By the way, could the multiple Servbot cameos in Dead Rising be considered for a clue as well?*
I'm also not entirely sure about this, but the Wikipedia article on Inafune says "the three-dimensional Rockman DASH/Mega Man Legends series" ...... "is currently on hiatus and has spawned the fewest sequels and is mostly released in parts", with the key words being "currently on hiatus".
