If there is any Hope for Legends 3, the 360 and PS3 may be the way to go because of the availability of the Lost Planet engine (whether 1 or 2). When I first played Lost Planet, I just gasped "Legends 3!", I knew that engine was perfect for Legends the moment I played it.

PC. PC all the way.
Although, for the record, I don't really care. I just want it.

Directed at Darklink 99: Why the cell-shading hate? The existing Legends games are very cartoony, to the point that they already capture the essanance of a cartoon. Which, if you will remember, is the POINT of cell shading. Would you really want a game with realistic environments, life-like character models, but still have little serve-bot heads everywhere? If so, go play Dead Rising. Xbox 360 version, of course; I don't want to wish harm upon you and tell you to play the awful Wii port. Stylized humans, like the Final Fantasy series uses, could concievably work in a Legends 3, but I'd still much rather have the series not change it's art style suddenly and without good reason. So much work has been done with cell-shading lately, and it's not all "Okami" nausiating, or flat colored "Killer 7" boring either. Take a look at Red Steel 2, or that one PS3 game (that I can't remember the name of) which also using highly advanced cell-shading methods with complex textures. Anyways, this is just my opinion, so take it with a grain of salt. It would be too much of a cartoon on the wii. It would be just like wind waker except worse. They would also probably turn it into a First Person Shooter if it were on the Wii. I for one could not and would not like to see that.

Mega Man Legends is done in a cartoony style. Always has been and very likely always will be. What do you want? Realism? And since when does the Wii turn established series into first person shooters? There are plenty of third person games on the Wii. I believe your fears are unfounded.

This should be a combination vote type poll. I want it on the 360, PC, and PS3. I mean, why not? Capcom has developed games for those 3 platforms before, why not now? It would allow legends to reach as many people as possible.
If the game was on the wii, it would be pretty much forced to stay on the wii. The wii is a great machine, but the graphical gulf from modern gaming to the wii is so large that putting a wii game onto another console or PC would be a big jolt. As such, no developers that I know of have ever done that. They either leave it wii only or develop a unique version for the wii, while the others have a shared version. So if legends was on the wii, it would be limited to just wii owners, and I don't want to have limited reach.

Weeell, worst case scenario might be, that they simply pull a Square Enix and release an animated movie as a sequel and call it a day.
...and it goes a little like...
Megaman: "Thanks guys! Now that the Elder system is shutdown, the world is safe!"
Roll: "Yeah"
Tron: "Woo-hoo!
Everybody else: "Hahahahahahaahahahahahahaha!"
Sera: "But, wait...How did we get off Elysium? What of the love triangles and such? Where was the character development for Yuna and myself? WHAT was the Elder system?"
Megaman: *Shrugs* "Go read a fanfic or something."
END

Megaman: *Shrugs* "Go read a fanfic or something." END So true, so true. And Darklin99, I think you're alone in arguing against the wii in the way you are doing. For one, what's wrong with Wind Waker graphics? WW is my favorite 3D Zelda title, and the atmosphere is one of the prime reasons. Needless to say, that artstyle wouldn't fit the Legends series, but everyone KNOWS that wouldn't be what we'd get. As for a first person shooter, I think it'd be criminal if Legends 3 didn't have at least a first person stand-still aiming mode. But Capcom isn't exactly known for their FPS games, so I seriously doubt a fully FPS game is anything you have to worry about.

Always has been and very likely always will be. What do you want? Realism? Perhaps, closer to anime-ish "realism" than cartoony caricatures is what I would figure. They can make it more detailed and still stay true to the original look/style. 360/PS3 are more capable of this, so it's a natural arguement. BUT, in Tatsunoko Vs. Capcom, we have seen Trigger on the Wii, and he doesn't look bad really. A point in favor of more real "realism," though would be how amazing the ruins/environments would look in ultra-high quality. But, you know, whatever..

Yeah, Tatsunoko vs. Capcom is a pretty good example of what can be done with the Wii. With the exception of Rock's noodle-thin thighs and bulky pelvis, that is. It would be too much of a cartoon on the wii. It would be just like wind waker except worse. I think saying it'd automatically be cell shaded and cutesy on the Wii is stereotyping quite a bit. And like Green said, cell shading doesn't refer to character design (Link's potato shaped head) but the shading technique on the characters. Tatsunoko vs. Capcom is cell shaded, so looking at that might give you a good idea of what can be done with it. I'd like to know where you get these ridiculous ideas. FPS's aren't even a popular genre on the Wii.
