Do you remember yuna saying Gatz died, but this is not shown in game? I figured a theory why this morning when i was walking (strange?).
Servitor units had the ability to transform in to some kind of reaverbot, or human, whatever is their normal form, and to assimilate other machines right? Geetz assimilates the Sulphur Bottom , and Gatz the pod you use to get to Elysium, after you defeat Sera´s first form she says that Gatz invaded her internal system to help you, that means, he tried to assimilate Sera in order to control, or stop her, but Sera was stronger than Gatz, she stopped Gatz, but she didn´t expelled him, she used Gatz to transform in to a powerful form. So when Megaman defeats Sera, he killed Gatz inevitably.

Makes perfect Sense, except for one thing:
Sera is mother unit, not a servitor, and so far Servitors have the ability to absorb, not mothers.
However, looking at it further: Sera had higher brain functions so she could have had some kind of over-ride algorithm for this scenario. And in that case, not only did she overpower Gatz, but she completely took control of Gatz, gained his abilities and utilized them as her own, meaning when Trigger deals the final blow: boom Gatz gets scrapped.
It is an interesting look at it though, but ya gotta go deep with this one.

That´s what i´m talking about, Gatz tried to assimilate Sera, as he is already in Sera´s body, she doesn´t assimilate or absorb Gatz, as you say, she uses Gatz power to become stronger, that´s why she acquire wings and new powers, such as lasers (maybe Gatz and Geetz had different powers, for example, Geetz can breath fire and Gatz can fire laser for his mouth). That would explain why Yuna says: "He died because of your gamble" meaning that was Sera´s guilt. She could only proclaim Trigger was the winner, but, because of her jealous she decided to "gamble" trying to stop him, even if she destroyed her shell or Gatz´s.

Now that you mention it... several thngs in Sera's second form reseble Gatz... the eye on the front... the giant arms that look Gatz's wings... it makes sence...

I can imagine it was probably much more clear in the Japanese version.

I can imagine it was probably much more clear in the Japanese version. The go-to conclusion for any discussion of obscure apocrypha, it seems. I doubt it in this case though. Sera had to make the obligatory final form upgrade and games usually don't go into detail as to why they do it. Having her assimilate Gatz sounds like a valid theory, but you're not going to find concrete support for it in either language.

Anybody else think that Gatz had a back-up somewhere in the Elysium system? He had a decent design so I wouldn't be surprised if he was brought back with that as an explanation.

Knowing Capcom, they're bound to bring someone back from the dead. I just hope they don't bring back Juno. That's nightmare fuel...

Juno popped up out of nowhere in NxC, and the explanation for him returning from the dead was never given, but it gave me a lot to theorize, what if the back-up copy he made of himself was immediately built after he ordered it and done along with a body before Data could override his back-up command? I wouldn't be surprised if that was the case. I'd prefer if we never saw him again though. >_>

Actually, the Juno in Namco x Capcom is his back-up copy. He just doesn't remember ever meeting Rock.
I guess this means I'd better fight Sera again in RockMan DASH PSP to claify what's being talked about here.
