The easiest solution is to wait a second or two before hammering into a post. Yep, that's exactly what I do now. Although I do forget once in a while. I do appreciate the feedback, though; if a little bit of flicker and a few seconds of text disappearing is the worst that you guys can find, I think I've done a pretty good job. Yes, I appreciate the effort. Thank you! ;D I'm sure I can live with this anyway.

Emotikobun Plus v1.00.0 RELEASED! In celebration of Decade Wait Day, I've pulled together a new version of Emotikobun Plus! Improvements are listed at the beginning of the thread, but the most important improvement that must be mentioned is that there is a new icon for everyone's favourite long-haired bishonen, along with a whole slew of miscellaneous icons and expressions for every occasion! Have fun partying, people, and be sure to report any bugs or problems you find throughout your jubilations and such.

THIS IS AMAZING. :35: I can actually forgive you for not including my favorite long-haired...whatever Teisel's called in Japanese. I doubt it's bishounen. :22: All hail Emotikobun Plus Plus!

Sweeeeeeet. New toys. I notice that screen refresh goes by ridiculously fast for me now. Like, faster than I could type into the text field without some effort. I assume that's you're doing. That was seriously bugging me as well, so fantastic. I remember those old sprites of Pitch's... nice to see them getting some use. Buster's are new to me, though. Good stuff. I notice some of the sprites have different names in the sidebar and reply area. Was that intentional? Anyway, you've outdone yourself. Great job. :35: :35: :35: :35: :35: :35: :35: :35: :36: :35: :35:

There's so many now! :0A: I agree with Dashe; this is indeed amazing. There are so many great ones, like these for instance: :D0: :E1:
Awesome job EC! You deserve a medal for this, seriously. :1A:

I love how you handled this panel on the side. Very neat. :1A:

@green - It's because I couldn't quite figure out how to get an emoticon popup gallery like they've got on the really good boards like IPB or phpBB (rather, actually passing data back from the popup to the main window), so I faked it with a side pane that has the unintended benefit of not getting in the way! For the record, I shrink the main BODY to 80%, then use a fixed-position DIV with my custom contents with the now freed 20% on the right. This allows me to use the same [hacked for Opera users] add() function that Proboards uses. Ultimately, it comes from a very pragmatic assessment of a difficult situation. I'm just glad it functions and looks as well as it does. @mlt - I'm experimenting everywhere I can think of to nail down these load times. I know it's a big concern for everyone. As for the different names, only for the top 16 (Proboards' default set), because their names can't be changed and it was an opportunity to better label them (After all, the 2nd from the left is definitely not 'Kiss' by any definition of the word). My additional 32 on the bottom 2 rows shouldn't have changed (except 'Durr...' has become 'Derp' in both places in the latest version, because I'm not above internet memes.) Dashe, Blues - Thanks, but thanks should also go to fAB, Green, and Buster Cannon, who contributed a number of emotikobun to this list. If you hover over the clickable image in the side pane, it will now credit whomever created the sprite (no credit = my work). @everyone - Fun feature! If you hover over an emotikobun's label in the side pane, its respective shortcode (:00:) will appear as a tooltip.

I may've found a bug, although I can't imagine why. It seems like I can't Search for Threads any more. It always ignores that option whenever I perform a search and defaults to searching Posts. It might be a problem on my end, but I've tried different browsers, and may've even tried in both Windows and Linux now, so I'm thinking it's not. It may be a Proboards problem for all I know.. Something to look into, I suppose? I also thought of a simple, dumb thing you could add to EKP. Perhaps you could add the Zenny symbol? :25: I'd do it myself, but I'm too lazy. I figure it would look better than doing one of these.. z

It's not me this time! Neither EKP and QM activate on the search page due to previous problems...but I blocked them with ABP; no change. Turns out MLU and Proboards' Support forum also suffer from this. You should report the problem on Proboards' Support Forum so they can have a look-see.

Done. Apparently the function has been disabled for some official reason and should return shortly. Sorry for the false alarm/accusation. >_<;

Early Announcement! I'm currently finishing up working on a new version of Emotikobun Plus!, to be released on April 1st. EKP! has been merged with Quickmap and a few other features I was working on into a larger, single package in hopes that they'll get along better with each other (instead of QM being broken for FX and Chrome users). I've switched to a slightly different method of finding the shortcodes, in efforts to improve speed and doesn't-break-proboards-ness; as a result, Emotikobun Plus! needn't be disabled to vote or retract votes in a poll (so they'll appear on poll threads now), and it seems that the conflict EKP had with the first-post-summary tooltip in the thread directories is finally gone, meaning emotikobun can safely and effectively be used in thread names, too, and will appear in the directories (of course, the traditional 'Message Icon' is still there, too, and is unaffected by EKP! in any capacity). Good ol' Rimblemenji's icon is finally fixed, and a large lot of new characters have been thrown into the fray; we are officially over 100 icons in the set, with room to grow as the mood strikes. Also, for the 2-3 of you who don't use v3-Sterile ( ), EKP!P‽ should now match the colourschemes of whatever skin you happen to be using. From what I've seen, EKP! is still compatible with Firefox, Opera, and Chrome, including the latest versions of them (FX4, Opera 11, etc.). I have no reason to believe Safari has stopped working. If you see otherwise, please let me know.

Good to see that this is being updated, but is it wrong that I'm slightly skeptical of an April 1 release date?

Oh yeah. We also get to look forward to Dashe's custom titles on the 1st of April as well.

When did I ever say I was going to change all your custom titles on April Fool's Day? And, more importantly, why do important things tend to happen here on April Fool's Day so often? MMLS has seen seven of them so far and I am pretty sure more than half of them have come along with some important announcement or change, unless I'm just totally out of it. :06:
