Foreward
I hate, hate, hate, how I start some stories and they never turn out the way I wanted them to. Examples; Last Raven, The Caskett story, Iron Megaman, and more recently the cross over to the Transformers universe. So here I will say this now. I may quit stories after these next couple for some time. This one I'm about to do is a true sequal to Legends 2 with no Dragge involved at all (I'm actually kind of glad). Instead though Trigger will be the main character. I also intend to make this story in 1st person (like spacecaptanface's Megaman Eternities) As for switching between characters I don't know yet. After this I plan on finishing up the new Dragge series as well. I still have two more stories in that series but the third one doesn't have much of a plot yet so we'll see how things go. After these I'll have to think of an original story to come up with. Maybe a mix of the first three Megaman series (normal, X, and Trigger). But until that time I give to you, the members of this forum, my story of Legends 3.
Side Note: I was going to write this on fanfic.net but I got too lazy, didn't feel like it, and just thought I'd do it here.

Well, another Megaman Legends 3 fanfiction. Looking forward to it.
Which reminds me... when am I ever going to have the time again to write MY Legends 3: Endgame fiction?

Noooo, don't get lazy! Fight on! Contribute to the Legends portion of the Megaman section and inspire others. The quality in that section is in need of more worthy writers.

Chapter 1
Location: Elysium, outside Master's house. Time passed since exile: Three Months
I stare once again at a sun that never sets, grass that never grows, and a sky with no wind. There's nothing else to do here so why should I waste my time in a place that's starting to shut down. This outer area is the only thing that I have that reminds me of the rolling pastures of Terra. When will they find me here? It's been going on three months and I'm still stuck on this deserted planet once known as Elysium. Nothing has happened yet worth noticing. Yuna and Sera found a way to get us out of that endless pit fortunately enough.
Here comes Yuna again. She puts on that fake smile again as to reassure me that things will be okay. We both know that it won't be for the time being. I've learned so much in my time of exile on Elysium however and may learn more. "Megaman, we still have no way of contacting Terra." I cringe as Yuna says those words. Sure I should be used to it by now, she's been saying the same thing for three months, but it just doesn't get out of my system.
"Where's Data when I need him?" I ask the Mother Unit. "He was always there for me in the tough times and comforted me on the front lines. He always knew what was going on. That crazy monkey. I'm surprised he never got shot by a stray shot when he was with me."
"I know it's rough here Megaman but..." She can't finish, I say silently to myself. She hasn't been able to finish that sentence for two months. She used to finish with, 'at least we're safe.' I look at her but our eyes don't meet. Her head is hung down with shame. She has a body to return and to get back into her own body, that is as soon as she repairs Sera's regular form.
"Yuna don't say anything," she wouldn't have been able to anyway, "I'm tired of waiting we all know that. Though in the meantime I'll have to live with it. We'll get off of here and live happily on Terra for the rest of our lives," I lied.
"Megaman, there's another reason why I came up here." Yuna says that with a hint of mystery in her voice. A cold chill runs down my spine.
"Will... will I like this?" I ask out of curiosity. Yuna looks at me with a look of maybe, maybe not.
"Just come with me and I'll explain everything to you there." ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Why are we down here? I think looking around at my surroundings. This hall is just one hall before the key room where the keys were powering up the Reinitialization Program three months back. "What's down here Yuna, besides the hall?"
"That's what I want to show you. I just remembered this." Yuna walked over to the hall and pushed on a few hidden buttons on the wall. A concealed doorway opened up and I watched as she started to continue through. "Please follow me Trigger."
I hate that name, Trigger. It's not what I'm known as back on Terra. For some reason though I can't seem to stay away from it. It sounds so much better than Volnutt. Inside my brain I know that it's my true name, but that was when I was one with the System. I'm not anymore and should stay with Volnutt. It's just such an enticing name. With nowhere else to go, and Yuna yards ahead of me now, I follow Yuna into the endless dark. I hear the door shut behind me. No way out now.
Then there's a blinding flash as a bright light turns on. "Whatever memories you don't remember are stored here Trigger. As Mother Units, Sera and I, were able to store all memories from all units that existed. It broke down right after you took off with the Master so we don't know what happened to everyone that once lived here. The backup memory function still works though. It can take you into your history and allow to watch things play out. This is where you can catch up on your history until Roll and the others rescue us."
Roll. Oh my how I miss her. Just hearing her name gets my heart going. Roll has always been by my side as well. She's my spotter and I'm the digger. In the end we always come out on top. I day-dream about her just for a brief second before returning to what Yuna has for me. One question littered my mind at that moment. "Yuna, do you know my history?"
Yuna turned her head and shook it. "Only those who go into this machine get a history out of it and it's their personal history. As for what you'll see I don't know. Exactly how far back it goes I can't answer that either. If you want to see your past now may be the last time. It may help in the future."
"I'll do it. I may not understand any of it at first, but from what I've learned in the past couple of months I should be able to piece things together. Thank you for this Yuna."
Yuna puts a smile on her face and says in that loving voice, "You're welcome Trigger." I stepped up to the machine inspecting it at first then I turned around and felt my armor touch the metal of the chair. "Are you sure about this?" Yuna asks in one last confirmation.
I nodded my head. What other choice do I have? A helmet lowered over my cranium. "Here we go," I tell her. I noticed her pressing a couple of buttons and the machine whirred to life.

Sorry for not updating this story for a while to all of you that enjoy my works. School's been a hassel and my social life has increased so much. I do plan to continue writing this and even know where I'm going with this story. As for what this series of two's plot will be I can't say just yet. In the next story (not chapter) expect some familiar faces from MM games past. That's right I'm telling all of you now. I'm not releasing the list of names now (though I was about to) but if you are interested please continue to support my creative writing by putting five dollars into that can your computer is holding out right now, five dollars a chapter coming back every now and then to read some a new chapter or to catch up on what's going on. Thank you for your time.

Chapter 2
Next thing I knew, the room has been replaced by a swirling blue vortex. Why does it always have to be the swirling blue vortex? This feeling, it feels weird traveling back through time just to find the rest of my history. I just hope that this gives me more knowledge on what I was made to do and why I actually decided to go against the will of the System and help out the Master
The blue vortex disappears after what felt like only a couple of minutes. I take my first look around and realize that I'm standing in some sort of battle arena: possibly that of Elysium's. From the way things look, I'd say that this takes place nearly four-thousand years ago. Then I spot him, the hero to be clad in blue armor. It looks different yet similar. That's when the memories start coming back to me. I can remember everything that happened before this event. Yuna was right, she didn't know how far back it went, but the me of this time has a computer as a brain so unless he was wiped clean, he remembered everything from his activation. Someone else is there too. From my new found memories I instantly recognize him. I can't believe I forgot all about him. They're both holding something, an early model Z-Saber maybe. Looks like we're about to quarrel. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Location: Elysium, Battle Arena. Time before exile: appx. 4,000 years.
"Come on Trigger! As the foremost Purifier Unit on Elysium, surely you can fight me!" The Elysian in red armor shouted. He was ready to fight one of the best Purifier Units on Elysium and he didn't want him to back out. He approached Trigger, slowly but firmly.
"Shut up Gears. You know well enough I could rip you apart if I felt like it." Gears was a Purifier Unit just like Trigger. His specialty was attacking with melee weapons and he was too rash sometimes and ran into battles without planning ahead. Sometimes it almost cost him his life. Fortunately he always had Trigger and his army by his side to pick him up. The two were preparing for a practice fight. Purifier Units always had to stay in top condition and the best way to do that was to fight other Purifiers. Purifiers were allowed to fight other models but rarely did this occur. They preferred to fight units amongst their own ranks.
Gears preferred the look of a deep, rich red color for his armor. His build was nearly identical to that of Trigger's. That's one of the reason's why Gears looked up to Trigger: he considered himself a brother to the famous Purifier. He was younger than Trigger by about two hundred years. Gears had deep blond hair and had the ability to grow a beard, something that wasn't a common sight with the Elysians. He never let it grow long as he would cut it to give him a shadowed look.
Gears gripped his Z-Saber. That was the name of today's match: a fight with swords. Gears knew that Trigger was a shoot em up type, but Gears wanted to see if Trigger could wield a sword like he could a gun. Gears came onto Trigger with his Z-Saber ready to strike. Trigger made no immediate move, but he parried the strike easily. Trigger went for Gears' lower legs, but the sometimes overconfident Purifier jumped twenty feet in the air and landed thirty feet back from his starting position. Gears had amazing speed and reached Trigger in an instant.
Trigger blocked again and locked the sabers down to the ground. Trigger kicked Gears' saber out of his hand and threw his own aside. That's the one thing Trigger liked about himself. In the heat of battle he could rush onto the front lines and pummel some Aberrant Units with his fists. Before Gears could react, Trigger went in with a right blow to the face then a left to the rib cage area.
Gears was stunned and tried to back out, but the one rule to Purifiers fighting each other was that a Purifier had to have taken some serious damage before they could call it quits.
"What's wrong Gears? Can't keep up? Too bad!" Trigger taunted while continuing his flying fist attack. Gears then spotted a split second chance to attack and kneed Trigger in the stomach region. Trigger felt the pain and cursed himself for leaving the most vulnerable spot open for attack. Gears put in a couple of hooks while Trigger recoiled.
Trigger's next move was an amazing round house kick to Gears' face which sent the Trigger look-alike to the ground. Gears was down, but not out and tripped Trigger. Trigger hit the ground hard, he had to get back up before Gears got the upper hand. Then Gears achieved the upper ground and grabbed Trigger by the throat. He lifted Trigger up off of the ground and slammed him into the nearest wall a few times before Trigger broke free.
The fight continued with the upper hand going switching sides. They were pounding away at each other and neither of them had the intention of backing away at this moment. They started throwing shots that cut deep into their armors, exposing the circuits and wires that made them up. At one point a wire snapped in Trigger's left arm and he lost all use of it. They were determined to continue, like no one else ever did. That was another thing Gears liked about Trigger and himself. They both had the never give up attitude and the friendly rivalry they had between them.
After about nearly an hour of going at it a voice came from up above. A figure stood on the spectator stand up above the field. "Good job gentlemen. Your powers continue to amaze me!" The figure clad in a white gown looking cloth stepped down onto the battlefield and met Trigger and Gears personally. His long blond hair followed him with each gallant step.
"Thank you Master," Trigger said finally relieved the battle was over. The Master was one of many humans that inhabited Elysium. Elysium had a special function that allowed humans to age, but never show signs of it. The Master had a personal relationship with both Trigger and Gears for they all understood each other. The three of them were always into conversations with each other no matter what the topic was.
"This is why you two are the top Purifiers. Trigger, you work well with the buster from a good distance, but you can always get down and fight dirty. You, Gears, can get up close with anything melee related and you always come through in mechanical developments. Good job you guys. I'm off to see production on the new bureaucratic units. Good day!" The Master turned around and walked through the door leading into the long corridor that made up Elysium.
Trigger shook Gears' hand as he did with every other Unit he fought. "Nice fight my friend. We are always equally matched and there's no doubt about it. When we go into a fight with any other Purifier Unit, they're down in a second."
"I absolutely agree with you my friend. You see, our power is limitless. We can take beatings and fight back harder. Last time we fought, our strengths were about half of this. Now if you were to graph our strengths, you'd have a hyperbole extending infinitely into the..."
Trigger had to cut him off at that point. "You and mathematics! Why are you talking in mathematical terms? I have no interest in that right now. The only thing I wish to do is get a tune up and continue on patrol."
"I'm telling you mathematics is there whether you want it to be or not. For example, when you're angling your sho..." Gears tried continuing.
"Please shut up," Trigger announced. They both left the arena tattered and beat up. A good repair would get them back to optimal efficiency. Gears walked out of the room first followed by Trigger, who was beaming inside that the fight ended in a stalemate and not a victory for either of them. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------- "Insane," the present day Megaman said aloud. "The pure intensity in strength I had back then amazes even myself. I mean sure I'm strong now, but If I were to fight myself in my prime I would surely lose. They beat each other to a pulp and continued to go on after that. Also, Gears. My memories are coming back now. What a great friend. If only I could figure out what happened to him."
The blue vortex opened up again and Megaman felt himself being torn from this memory and sent into the next one.
This machine is so interesting. I'm surprised that I never knew of it's existence. Then again maybe I did and forgot all about it. So this is what it's like going into your own history. You're able to see the past and gain back all memories. I remember things that happened even before that fight began. How intriguing! I can't wait to see what this machine has next for me. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Author's Notes: When I'm doing these flashback I'll be doing a style of how I wrote my other stories. This is Trigger in the past doing these things with present day Trigger off to the side watching things progress and things will eventually lead up to the fight with Sera. So I hope you enjoyed a long awaited chapter and expect the next one sometime soon.

I'm back people. I haven't started a new chapter yet but I have gone back to edit Chapter 1 and I'll get to Chapter 2 soon. I have a full outline of how things will plan out so I know where I'm going with this. Also a couple of classes I've taken have given me more insight on writing so I'm hoping that my chapters are more in-depth. Also I'm going to try sticking with true characterization and keep a character the way they should act. It's good to be back here again! Expect more chapters in the near future.

Chapter 3
I see the fake sun once again up in the sky. Apparently the next memory takes place here outside of the Master's house. I wonder what memory is about to occur? Then a wave of intense pain rushed over me at that next instant. Memories flooded into my mind since the time I fought Gears up until this moment. That's right, the Master called me up here to talk to me about something. I can only sit back and watch what it is.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Location: Elysium, outside Master's house. Time before exile: 3,453 Years.
Trigger walked across the large plain of land that the Master's house was located on. The central housing unit was different from that of any others that surrounded the main island. The first notable difference was that it was about twenty times larger and the next was that the Master's house was of a different design.
The Master walked up toward Trigger and was trailed by a black figure. "Trigger, how are you doing?" he said as they embraced as friends.
"Same as always Master. I haven't been up to much. I haven't been battling Aberrant Units much the past few weeks. Therefore I've had some time to rest my core processing unit."
"I just heard of about twenty uprisings just within the past couple of weeks. Who's been handling these then?"
"I've had Gears and his forces take care of the Aberrants. He's proved to me that he doesn't need me and my forces to destroy those units."
The Master beamed with a large smile. "Anyway you're probably wondering why I've called you up here Trigger." The Master took a step to one side and gestured to the black armored figure. "He's the newest First Class Purifier. His name is Stark and I thought I'd let him tail you for a bit until he proves that he can handle his own squadron. Well, I'm off. I've got some personal business with the humans." The Master turned around and walked back to his house.
Trigger then approached the new Elysian and inspected him from every angle. The armor was widely different from that of regular Purifier Unit armor. There was a total of three machine guns. Two of them were located on the forearms and the third was connected to the back but placed over the shoulder area. There were three lights visibly located on the armor. The first one seen was that on the chest. The next two were located within each palm. The final noticed detail was the black and silver helmet that went with the black and silver color scheme.
Trigger went ahead and took the initiative, "Hello Stark, I am First Class Purifie..." Stark rudely cut in at that moment.
"I know just who you are Trigger. I'm not ignorant in your status as a Purifier Unit. You don't need to explain anything to me."
"Please tell me what I did wrong because I don't know why you hate me all of a sudden."
"It's your personality that gives me a hatred against you. You are known to fight as if you came off of the streets themselves and yet you love everything with a passion. Isn't there anything that you hate?"
Trigger didn't have to think as he came up with an instant answer, "The Aberrant Units are the only things I hate. That's only because they've turned their backs to our current system in favor for the Elder System. The thing is that the Elders failed. They thought that they could reverse engineer the reaverbots and create the Prototype Anthro Units. They did, but it turned out to be their downfall. Once the humans stepped in, they repopulated Terra with the carbons, people that look like humans but aren't of the real things. They are still real enough though."
"Well then Trigger, if you can't hate anything, I'll have to show you what rue hatred is like." Stark put a well placed punch to Trigger's left rib area. The armor that he wore slowed him down, but it made up for that in firepower.
Trigger clenched to the left side of his torso as he studied his opponent. Another punch came from nowhere and sent Trigger flying thirty feet. He calculated the magnitude of the first hit and made sure he landed on his feet. Stark the flew over to Trigger's location.
"Wait a minute, you can fly too?" Trigger's rhetorical question was answered by another hit to Trigger's face. Once up again Trigger realized the only option. His buster formed from the armor on his forearm and replaced his left hand. He opened fire on Stark but he just stood there and took the shots. After about of minute of firing Trigger ceased.
Stark laughed maniacally as he extended both of his arms parallel to the ground. "Now it's my turn Trigger!" Shots started unleashing from all three machine guns at the same time. Trigger felt the immense power of the shots and noticed something different about Stark's ammo: it wasn't in the form of energized plasma. They were shell shots. The shots stung and Trigger needed to think of a good strategy to wear down his foe.
Stark kept his guns on Trigger and started to get through the outer shell of his armor. The bullets were working wonders for him and he thought that he had the upper hand in this fight. Trigger then yelled as he leaped through the air and tackled Stark. The new Purifier didn't see it coming. Trigger punched Stark in the head, but that was all he got in. A powerful energy shot came from the central circle of light.
Trigger landed hard on his back and tried moving around. His armor was nearly fried, however. "Armor reboot go!" Trigger's armor shut down for a brief moment then switched back on and he had full control again. Stark had already launched himself into the sky and had one of his energy palms ready to fire. Trigger had a split second and charged his buster to max power. Trigger then thrust his buster barrel into Stark's hand.
At the same time, both of them fired their weapon. The tremendous power surged in between the narrow gap that separated their weapons. The power from both weapons colliding for that long created a huge explosion that plowed Trigger into the ground and sent Stark into the air.
Trigger opened his eyes after the weapons sent him into the ground. He was completely inoperable. Stark flew over and landed on top of Trigger. "What are you Stark?" Trigger asked groaning with pain.
"I'm a War-Machine. That's my name and that's what describes me." The last thing Trigger saw before blacking out was the evil red eyes on War-Machine's helmet. If it even was a helmet. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------- What a fight. I can't believe Sera wasn't the first person to hate me. I wonder if myself is alright over there? So, there are two people whose status I have to figure out. Gears was a great scholar and fighter so I believe he survived due to some sort of invention. He was always creating things. As for War-Machine, he seems to be able to fight his way through any situation.
Gah! I couldn't reach myself before the next vortex picked me up. I just wonder if I'll see any down times during my history. I know that I fought a lot, but I had to have talked to some people on the off times. I can only hope.

Chapter 4 Location: Elysium, Master's house. Time before exile: 2,500 Years.
Trigger was waiting inside of the Master's pristine white house. He was called here once again and didn't know what for. "Megaman, I have a personal mission for you and you alone. The rest of the council and I determined it would be in every one's best interest that you travel to Terra and inspect the Bureaucratic Units we have placed down there. They have a simple command to purge islands should the number of carbons grows over a specified limit. There are two that we need monitored for about a day or so. The first one is Lachesis on New Gate Island. She may seem week, but believe me, she can pack a punch in her Behemoth form. The second one is Juno, a third class model located on Kattelox. He seems to be a bit crazy with ideas of his own. If anything should arise, exercise whatever tactics you need to over-power him. That is all." -----------------------------------------------------------------------------------Location: Terra, New Gate Island. Time before exile: 2,500 Years.
Trigger arrived on Terra during the dead of night when no one was awake. He quietly swept through the town toward the Main Gate of New Gate Island. "It's almost a shame that the carbons don't know what goes on beneath them every day. A Bureaucratic Unit controlling the island's ruins. Then there's the underground cities of the Prototype Anthro Units. Those things are reaverbots on super fuel. They're more murderous than the reaverbots themselves." Trigger found the Main Gate with ease and entered a secret code into the exterior of the building.
Trigger entered and marveled at the vast interior of the structure. Each Main Gate was created differently so that it met the needs of the operator and their guards. The halls of Lachesis's Gate was crawling with some of the strongest reaverbots created; including Ganburi, Shoebafun, Puurian, Olfon, and Karumuna Bash just to name a few.
The reaverbots recognized Trigger right away and let him pass through to Lachesis's quarters. The room right before contained one of the only Proto Refractors in existence. Only the Main Gates had these large energy sources. Trigger walked in and observed Lachesis standing over a table welding away at something. It looked to be a reaverbot but Trigger couldn't tell.
Lachesis looked to be about five foot seven and had black hair cut about neck length. Her armor was mainly yellow with red detailing and had a single wheel for extreme movement. "Lachesis, I'm First Class Purifier Unit Megaman Trigger here to check up on your status for the sake of the Master. How are things going here on New Gate?"
Lachesis spun around and faced Trigger. "I'm doing perfectly fine and upholding my duties by using Eden when the growth of the carbon population exceeds such amount. There haven't been very many problems here in the way of carbons finding a way in. Maybe only two have ever gotten in by pure luck."
Trigger nodded reassuringly and looked over to the massive work area. "What's going on over here?" Trigger looked over the machine Lachesis had been working on and then glanced back at her.
"Some personal projects. I have a lot of time on my hands so I've been looking into reaverbot development and have created a few groups of my own reaverbots and sent them off to guard the ruins. I continue to work in these three core groups with high hopes that they will work in my favor."
"I have to admit that they look impressive. I'm starting to wonder why you weren't put on as an Engineering Unit? You have great talent to create your own reaverbot. Even programming them is a chore even for Purifier Unit Gears, and he's smart. Anyway I see no problems here and I will leave you to your duties. I have matters to attend to with Bureaucratic Unit Juno. Good-luck!" ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Location: Terra, Kattelox Island. Time before exile: 2,500 Years.
Trigger walked down the spiral that made up most of the Kattelox Main Gate. Juno had some pathetic reaverbots guarding this place with the only real threat being the three Karumuna Bash in a section that was completely off the path.
Juno was waiting in an area way before his quarters. He was watching a monitor of Kattelox that switched from an overhead view to a population count. Trigger noticed that Juno held a button in his hand and was ready to press it. "Juno! What do you think you're doing?" Trigger shouted.
Juno turned and looked the Purifier Unit in the eyes. "I'm getting ready to purge the island of its carbons again."
Trigger thought for a second and then remembered something, "So that's why we've had to send more carbons every twenty years! You purge them just for the thrill of it! Third Class Bureaucratic Unit Megaman Juno, I am now placing you under complete house arrest. I will exercise my programming to subdue you as necessary and hold you under specific guidelines that are to be received by Mother Unit Yuna and Mother Unit Sera as well as input from the Master and the rest of the Master System including all humans on Elysium."
A buster formed around the left hand of Trigger. Juno saw this as a small opportunity to run to his quarters. Trigger followed suit. Neither of them had noticed that a carbon that was following them with art supplies. He was there to paint a historical picture that would later end up in a museum on that same island.
Trigger reached Juno's quarters and looked up to see Juno in his massive battle form. It was a larger version of his normal armor but it contained a long power supply clipped to the back of it. "You can't force me to quit purging the carbons as I have been currently doing." Juno unleashed a massive fireball storm that Trigger nearly dodged. Juno was slow in this form but his weapons made up for that loss.
Trigger charged his buster to max and fired at Juno's head. The shot was blocked by some sort of force field and Trigger realized that the shield was just a larger version of Juno's own head. Trigger headed for the nearest wall and performed a back flip onto the massive form. It was a simple battle that he knew he was going to win. A few wires had to be cut and the suit would cease to function and Mother Unit Yuna would be able to dispose of it properly. Juno lost a battle that he couldn't win and Trigger set him straight.
Juno was back in his original body and Trigger had him constraint. After a long talk with the involved people, the verdict was that Juno was to purge only every one-hundred years or be killed instantly. Just to be on the safe side, a large container was built to keep him in sleep for one-hundred years. If he was released early, Mother Unit Yuna would be the first one to know.
Trigger walked out of Juno's quarters and spotted the artist asleep with the completed artwork. Trigger picked him up and put the carbon over his shoulder. Once outside, Trigger put the carbon down and made his way back to his ship that would return him to Elysium.
