Anyone know of any good, free video editors? My copy of Vegas expired, and Movie Maker isn't exactly cooperative, so I'm wondering if there's anything else available, as I have no way of editing/rendering videos now.

As crazy as it may sound, Blender has a pretty competent non-linear video sequence editor built in. However, Blender's not really a program you can easily jump into and immediately start using, so I would try VirtualDub first and see if it suits your needs. blender.org

I was thinking about mentioning blender, and it's really great to use, but not for non-blender people. You can use it to overlap multiple video files, which I don't think is possible with virtualdub.

Eh, VirtualDub didn't really help much. All I need is something that allows me to add audio to videos, and render them as WMV's. VDub didn't really have that function, so yeah. I really hate Movie Maker's constant crashing.

Download another version of movie maker? Isn't that hard.

Yay, I found the problem! Apparently Movie Maker doesn't take kindly to MPEG-2 files, so I had to convert the to AVI. At any rate, I can post videos again, so I'm good.
