Apparently it was some form of cardiac arrest (yet to be determined). Quite a shame in my opinion, as he was plotting a massive comeback in the near future.

Aye, he was a strange one in recent years.. but no can deny he was an incredible musician. Thriller, Beat it, Bad, Remember the Time, and more... despite his weirdness, he will surely be missed... *takes hat off and pays respect*

I was stunned after hearing the news about MJ. He had a lot of talent and will be missed. I didn't know he was having a comeback tour soon, that just makes the news even sadder.... R.I.P.

This is pretty sad... I was never really a fan of his music, though. I'm a bonafied metal head, so pop is about the opposite of what I enjoy. Still, he had Van Halen play guitar on a few of his songs, so I give the man props for that.
R.I.P.

I heard he was run over chasing a kid across some street. Is there any validity to this?

I heard he was run over chasing a kid across some street. Is there any validity to this? Ummm *chuckles* no, that must have been a joke someone told you. But the situation reminds me of one of my favorite quotes from a fanfiction I read: "I have ultimate respect for the dead. I treat them as if they were still alive. That's why I can make fun of them." ~ Shadow the Hedgehog

Lol, if you're quoting something from a fanfiction, place the artists real name there, seeing "Shadow the Hedgehog" didn't really help me appreciate the quote.
I'm kind of annoyed at how a lot of people are "glad" that he is dead, they only attribute his life as being a weirdo who wanted to be everlasting white, a pedophile etc etc, they doesn't really give him the applause he deserves for earning the title of prince. R.I.P. Michael Jackson, let's hope he doesn't turn into a Thriller Zombie.

Without trying to sidetrack the topic, here's a link to the fanfiction I stole it from, Darkness of Chaos, by Dark Mantle: www.fanfiction.net/s/1143638/1/The_Darkness_of_Chaos And this is the specific chapter: www.fanfiction.net/s/1143638/5/The_Darkness_of_ChaosAs a side note, the sequel had much better writting and is one of my favorite Sonic fan fics of all time.

And so, with each passing generation comes the passing of a titan. Say what you will about the controversy that had plagued the man in the more recent years, his existence, his work was one of the gears that revolutionized music.
It will be long before the world discovers another like him.
R.I.P MJ.

A great pioneer in the industry, and an amazing artist. I'm happy for his death for one reason: he was spiraling downward nonstop and really, there's no way it would've gotten better. His childhood caught up with him, his constant quest to make himself youthful ruined his image, as well as disease that made his skin pale and thin. Stress from both child molestation caused him to turn to pain medication. He was anorexic. The public who once loved him turned on him, stalking him as they often do celebrities, and tormenting him. I could go on, but I think you all have the point.
He lives on with his amazing music and the impact he had on the music industry.

Not many people heard about this, but Farah Fawcett (one of the original Charlie's Angels) died only hours before Michael Jackson died. Amazingly, her final words were recorded by one of her close friends. It was a prayer:
"God, please protect the little children of the world", she prayed with her last breath.
Later that day, Michael died.
Awww, too soon? Sorry, my father told me this joke yesterday and I just couldn't keep it in. Hey, at least I'm not saying I'm GLAD he's dead, like Musashi just said. That's harsh, man, though I understand what you're trying to say.

I'm not glad about his death, it's more that I'm not sad about it. When your life is sadder than your death, well... needless to say that's not good.

Umm...wat? Anyway, I'm willing to believe that MJ didn't do any of that child molestation stuff. As for the hanging the baby off the balcony, well, everyone does stupid things. Being the kind of person that tries to please his fans, what was he supposed to do if a bunch of them went "Show me yo bebeh!"? And if I have this correct, he begged for meds because of the pain the plastic surgery caused him; the plastic surgery being required because his face got burned somehow. 'Course, everything I wrote here could be wrong, so...yeah...
