Hello, this is ravenf6, regular member and fan artist of this humble forum. Since this past week, I have taken some time off from the drudgeries of work and school to unwind. I am currently spending time with family outside Carson City Nevada. My little niece Natalie has just turned 4 today and that got me thinking to start a thread of this tale. I will be uploading photos of my trip thus far and share a few of the events that have occurred since last week. The tools used for this trip are my camera phone, and a new favorite item of mine: a Kodak EasyShare Z812 IS. The vacation actually started last Monday: since my folks and I would be leaving the next morning, we decided to go out to eat for dinner. The occasion being my brother-in-laws birthday, combined with an early Father's day bit. We ate at a mexican resteruant and it was Mariachi night First here's a shot of my family, plus a few friends... i643.photobucket.com/albums/uu153/ravenf6_tc/SSPX0008.jpgThe dinner was wonderful, especially when accompied by the wonderful ballads and folk songs, courtesy of the band who played that night, i643.photobucket.com/albums/uu153/ravenf6_tc/SSPX0013.jpg pity I didn't get more info on them. These guys really knew how to get the party going. I took the above photos with my phone, so it's pretty tacky... I've got to go for a bit, but in future installments, I'll cover a few sights along the trip, and a bit of scenery from Nevada. Until next time, see ya from Carson... (to be continued...)

Okay, first order of business. Not much happened during the flight, except for a stop in Salt Lake City, Utah. While waiting for the next plane, I saw this double rainbow near the mountains and thought it was a good idea to take a shot of it- I like to take unusual shots, plus a 4 gig SD card means lots of ammo. i643.photobucket.com/albums/uu153/ravenf6_tc/100_0339.jpgWe spent most of the trip with my sister and brother-in-law. This weekend they were going to throw a birthday party for Natalie, one of my nieces. i643.photobucket.com/albums/uu153/ravenf6_tc/100_0345.jpgNot too camera shy, wasn't she? Anyhow, the next few days were spent relaxing and planning out the party. I ended up spending a little time gather the food and things that we'd serve. Finding a gift was easy enough- it really helps when the shopping district is a 5-minute drive away. It's getting late, so I'll stop here for tonight, tomorrow (or if someone else posts here), I'll cover the party itself- details and photos, plus spending Father's Day in Reno. Adieu for now...

I just looked at your picture, without reading first, and I thought it was hawaii. You can see those rainbows in the middle of the ocean sometimes. They come straight down from the clouds into the water, like a waterfall.
