Oops, I forgot to explain- in my earlier days, I did little comics on the side. For the most part, it dealt with Edgar being sent to another world and ends up caught in its struggles- Sigma takes over as the leader of a powerful empire and tries to conquer everything. After a few defeats, Edgar's interference becomes a thorn in his side, so the megalomaniac commission's Tae'ro's creation as a final solution to dispose of the little swordsman Design wise, Tae'ro started off looking a lot like Zero- but in the explanation I made last time, I started to see Tae'ro lean towards a more curious nature, recently- he developed an unusual curiosity for how and why things worked as opposed to wholesale destruction- something unheard in most mavericks. To that end (to me, anyway) he started to behave more like a human- I altered the design to reflect this notion- replacing the helmet with his current hairstyle, simplifying the armor, and trying to incorporate Duo's advice. I found this metamorphosis to be surprising, and I hope and I can balance that out in future drawings of him. I might end up uploading the older designs to show you what I mean, if I can find them... *EDIT* I found the original design, not too long ago, so here its. Gaze at the horror that was my drawing skills in the beginning... I had no idea what I was doing at the time... none... (the beginning of my highschool years) i643.photobucket.com/albums/uu153/ravenf6_tc/Taerooriginal.jpgHe started out as a terminator-like villain until the metamorphosis I described. I had a fun time incorporating various weapons- since he was equiped with a liquid metal core and advanced molding system that allowed him to create various armaments which are then produced from his hands.. Since we're on the subject of old stuff, I found an old scenery work. If I remember right, this was my attempt at the large gallery scenes from Magic Sword. I was impressed by the size and detail this place had- which was fitting since you ened up fighting dragons and chimeras in this place... i643.photobucket.com/albums/uu153/ravenf6_tc/gallery.jpg

He has very wide shoulders, it just makes his body look kinda...small. Like the cape though. By the way, at the bottom of the picture, is that a washing machine..? The second picture is great, it looks like a Roman colliseum, except with a dome. I really like the detail in it. If there was a battle scene going on in it against a chimera or a dragon, it would have probably been even better! Either way, I like it alot!! Great job Ravenf6!!! ;D

Great job Ravenf6!!! ;D Like I said- I had no idea what I was doing then... though if I had to guess... a sophisticated camera device... One thing I loved about the gallery as well, was how well it was incorporated into the Tower in which most of the game took place...a few times, actually. If I end up inheriting a large piece of property, I wouldn't mind remodeling it to fit this in I have only a single piece this evening. It's a quickie ( alittle over 30 minutes) but I think it's worth a look. If any of you folks here remember Altered Beast, this should ring a few bells: i643.photobucket.com/albums/uu153/ravenf6_tc/Welcometoyourdoom.jpgI felt like drawing the villain, Neff. He looks tame compared to most ne'er-do-wells of his type, today, but his monster forms are pretty interesting- I tried giving each of them a little life. They stand out a bit, but I really like how Neff himself turned out- he looks like you don't wanna mess with him at all...

I've never heard of Altered Beast before... But this does remind me of something, Digimon. I find it pretty cool you did this in 30 minutes, there's a lot of detail in it. ;D By the way, I like the fire...

While I've never played Altered Beast, that Rhinoceros-like critter at the top reminds me of the the green rhino from the game Beast Wars. That was a great game!
As for the picture, it's pretty sweet, but it's also fairly cluttered. It's actually kind of confusing to see what some parts are supposed to be, especially for someone who has not played Altered Beast, and thus does not know what they're supposed to be looking for.

Goopygoo, Lord of the Whilst: While I had no real intention in mind when I started this work, I intended for a cluttered affect- Neff turns into these monsters after generating a curtain of smoke for his transformation process: and since it seems most members here are a little to young to remember AB, allow me to elaborate on the Who's who.. so to speak (starting at the bottom left-) 1. Aggrar: the 1st boss- a devil composed of dirt, stone, and bones- throws multiple heads at you. 2. Neff: the bad guy- if you don't turn into a were-beast by the time you reach him, he wards you off with lightning and runs off. If you do, though, he'll greet you "WELCOME TO YOUR DOOM!" and after a large puff of smoke, he'll turn into a monster to fight you. I took a little license with the flame aura since he's evil... 3. Octeyes- the 2nd boss- a big mutant plant with many eyes. It sics them on you. (Middle) 4. Rotting snail- a combination dragon/snail creature, only half dead.. spits streams of stuff at you. You hit it to coax the head out, then you bash it. 5. Pyrocroc- a flying crocodile holding a ball of fire... I not good at drawing reptiles...summons mini-dragons and shoots fire streams at you. and at the top: 6 Fina Battle- Cornered, Neff turns himself into a armored Were-Rhinoceros - he's as fast as he is powerful, and angry. I tried capturing his attitude in the way he wants to pummel you. I thought that came out right... I can see how you got the Rhinox reference, Goopygoo, but I did not intend such a thing. I have only two works tonight. First up was the first results of mannequin practice- a few poses of Solrac: i643.photobucket.com/albums/uu153/ravenf6_tc/Solracmanniquinexperiment1.jpgNext up is one I consider an WIP. Thinking of the prophecy mural in MM1. I decided on a perspective shot with Trigger facing down Juno in that ancient battle- I've stopped at this point so that I can show you how it's coming. What do you guys think of it? i643.photobucket.com/albums/uu153/ravenf6_tc/oldtimeTriggerWIP.jpgThose aside, I've hit a minor slump. I haven't come up with anything, lately.. But I am tossing around a few ideas. Maybe I might put the idea of the Trigger vs Scythe spar in the 'consideration box'. What do you guys think?

I didn't notice anything wrong with Solrac, proportions are correct, like the hair, and there's action in the pictures. I have a question though, is Solrac sleeping with a sword in the pic at the bottom left hand corner? That'd be dangerous!! I like the concept for this one, all I really noticed was his legs seemed small on him, but I assume that's because he's hunched over. And the idea about Sythe vs. MegaMan sounds like something Namco x Capcom would do. I'd say try drawing it and see how it comes out. If you like it you can post it here. Good luck though! ;D

Ninja: Not so much, I'd think: he's out cold! It was part of a story that explained some of Solrac's origins, so all I can tell you is that he's had a very rough day at that point. As for what you're talking about, I might save that kind of fight towards the end of something interesting. It gives me an idea..... Man, the days seem to be dragging on forever . I've been so tired lately, yet at the same time, nostalgic. For tonight's additions, I turn again to the past: i643.photobucket.com/albums/uu153/ravenf6_tc/Artclass.jpgI remember first debuting Juno in my days at the Final Fantasy Republic forums on a whim. Among my earlier days doing drawings, he was the most well-received. I took to liking the little seer that I did more works devoted to him. This one shows him carving a little sculpture. Fun fact: during the time I drew this, I was studying Freehand Drawing in college, I really loved those days- 3hr classes devoted to pencil, paper, and letting your inner muse go wild . So, you could call this a analogy of sorts. This second one, I did while on vacation last year. i643.photobucket.com/albums/uu153/ravenf6_tc/thecaptainisonthebridge.jpgAt the time, I wanted to do something different. So I tried an OC with a light military backround- to put it short, this one's a bit older than Scythe and Edgar would be, but his proficiency in the military lands him in command of an airship of a mighty empire. A little rigid and stubborn, but he cares about his crew. I haven't figured out a name for this guy, but all I can tell you aside was that he basically evolved from another character I wasn't satisfied with in the beginning. But this guy does butt heads with Edgar on more than one occasion. Explanation aside, I did this with no tools, so I know the lines are off, and right now, I know all too well about the legs issue- but at that point, I tended to reserve longer legs for older characters like Solrac and Nicodemus. School's going to be rough come tuesday, so I might not add to this place for the time being, but if the dust settles, I might get back to doing the requests I was asked for not too long ago...

Before anyone tires to point out otherwise, the rules of double posting are excused when it involves fan art, according to Dashe. Moving on, it's been a few days, so I'd thought I'd put in a few things: First off, in an attempt to fine tune my art in terms of the legs issues, I took another shot of Dragge- i643.photobucket.com/albums/uu153/ravenf6_tc/Dragrough2pluseyes.jpgI just came into some drawing reference material so I also tried experimenting with a few eyes. It's crude, at best, I didn't spend too long on the hair, but I think this one's going in the right direction. Next up is an old one. A few months ago, I drew this one after a little Magic Sword session. It's Edgar, Scythe and Unaki dressed as a cleric, a wizard, and a knight. i643.photobucket.com/albums/uu153/ravenf6_tc/yeoldecosplay.jpgHow this works into the game is that while you're invading a tower of demons, you can also free a variety of prisoners who can help you in your quest. The three outfits represent the more useful helpers (in my opinion) in the game. The cleric's holy magic is weak at first , but can protect you in the higher levels, the wizard's black magic can easily put the hurt on most monsters, but the knight has the best weapon range and defense(the lance and armor). If I can, I might experiment with a few things, but right now, things are starting to boil over in my classes. In the coming weeks, reports will be due, so I'll need to get cracking on those...

His legs are still the same length as his arms. They need to be considerably longer than that. Here's some advice... The elbows should come to about the top of the hip bone. Move the pelvic area up further, shortening the torso and lengthening the legs.

Move the pelvic area up further, shortening the torso and lengthening the legs. For this one, I was trying to practice with the legs- trying to start a habit of drawing them longer (a start, I suppose...), I was more concerned about that aspect than anything else in this pic. But you are right about one thing- the legs should be a bit longer, and I need to do something about all that you said- the hard part about that is that since Dragge based his OC off Trigger, it tends to throw things off a bit . I will try to take this to consideration for future works. Tonight's work is an older work I did based off a KH story I 'm planning out. On the deck of an airship, Edgar sees on the horizon a sight that many hoped never to see again- the resurrection of Hollow Bastion... i643.photobucket.com/albums/uu153/ravenf6_tc/outsideHallowBastion.jpg I know the nose comes off a little odd, but I wasn't trying to get anything right in particular- I did this on a whim. I haven't figured out what that book is he's holding, but on the plus side, it helped me to figure out Edgar's standard wardrobe and hairstyle. Plus, I thought the details and the castle silloutte turned out fairly decent- especially given the complexities of HB:It was a castle like no other...

I have to agree with what most of B-R-E-T said. Continue to revise and all that. Although I do like the facial features such as the eyes, hair, and general shape; keep those on him.

I like the hair on him, especially the color. I think the color suits him well. The backround is pretty nice too. Very detailed. I think his facial expression is a bit blank though, he doesn't seem very surprised to see Hollow Bastion back. Aside from that, I think it looks pretty decent! ;D

I've been getting restless lately, so I thought I'd see what I could put in for now. I found some real old works of mine for tonight, back from when I was getting my sealegs into this sort of thing: First off, another monstrous work: This was a really old work I did from Maximo: Ghosts to Glory- the sword skeleton: i643.photobucket.com/albums/uu153/ravenf6_tc/swordskeleton.jpg These guys were fun to slice up as well as draw. If this seems off, it was supposed to be this way- the art style for the game was cartoonish but stylized since it was done by Susumu Matsushita (the Japanese gaming magazine 'Famitsu' and Disney are among his regular clients ). THe only thing I could cite myself on here was the skull- it's turned out wierd, but I got the scowl across- plus, I liked how the bones came out. Next up..... Snooping as usual, are we?? If you remember from the egg debate, here's the work that inspired it: It's Scythe cosplaying as Dr. Robotnik- i643.photobucket.com/albums/uu153/ravenf6_tc/ScytheasRobotnik.jpg I remember eating dinner when the idea came into my head. I drew it while waiting for class so it looks odd, I tailored the coat to fit Scythe and added the scarf for a slight cool effect a la Cyborg 009. I drew boots similar to the fat man's shoes and sytled up his fringe to resemble that wierd moustache. The legs look thin and long, I did this on purpose to pay a little silent tribute to the doctor- just how he manages to outrun Sonic with such skinny legs and a huge belly, I'll never know. Lastly, this one I made in the beginning. The model sheet I originally used for drawing people. Looking back on it, I've made some progress but lost a little perspective on the length of the arms and legs as of recent works. i643.photobucket.com/albums/uu153/ravenf6_tc/modelsheet.jpg . I gotta face facts, I'm not used to drawing people in that way- I've gotten so used to the somewhat deformed style I've drawn for so long- it's stuck on me... but admitting fault and realizing one's self awareness is crucial to growth in any endeavor. I coveted results so much, I forgot this, I suppose..... Well, things look a little busy for me- Finals are this week, Punch-out!!!'s coming out towards the middle, and I've been starting a little cardio exercise(minor) , but after Thursday, I'm really looking forward to getting back to the pencil and paper with no strings attached. Later...
