Whoa that's really cool! It's alot more spiderlike than caanam or the MML2 spider thing. Have you gave it's attacks any thought?

This one I did after playing Diablo III for the better part of three weeks. I started out as a wizard and spent most of my time blasting demons to bits with archaic elemental might. Unfortunately, I ran out of room for the end of the staff. One detail I liked about this was that I put in two trophies that I uncovered during my quest: the gauntlets and crown of King Leoric- twice he had risen from the dead, and twice I laid his tortured bones to rest. These pieces serve me well to this day, and will continue to, once I have the means to forge better quality gems. I'll update this with color, once I figured out a proper set for this- the original colors clashed- a bright green pants with a gold/dark blue robe combo looked real atrocious. Thank goodness for dyes..

You've definitely gotten more intricate with your detail work. Keep it up!

You've definitely gotten more intricate with your detail work. Keep it up! Blizzard designs have gotten more and more detailed over the years: Getting the rough lines for this was pretty tough, but the results were worth it. Gamewise, I've gotten skilled to the point I can give the Lesser and Prime Evils a good scare, and I was looking to show I meant business. Once I find a good dark or blue shade for the pants, I'm looking to color this one. This one I did towards the end of fundraising for Mighty No. 9- a shot of Beck. This one turned out more rough than I thought- Beck's design was a bit unusual, but I was happy to give it a go. This one will be another on the colored 'to do list', later on. Not the best Beck in the world, but I can honestly say I gave it a shot..

I'm not sure if the rules of doubleposting apply if said post in question involves something relevant to the thread.. it's been a long while since I came, so my memories of said rules are a bit fuzzy... *UPDATE* I looked at the rules and updates to one's own thread of this nature is allowed so I guess I was worried over nothing. I blame that partially on school-based paranoia, this spring- having to write weekly 5 page pages and doing a 20 page thesis kept me edge for a long time.. This one was a quick doodle I did a couple months back.. A servbot, not much else to say..

Double posting is allowed in the artwork threads, don't worry too much.

Double posting is allowed in the artwork threads, don't worry too much. I already acknowledged said rule when I edited my last post. I was just worried in case they changed anything during my absence, which was about a couple months, at least.

As long as it's YOUR artwork thread, or a community effort! It still doesn't fly in other people's galleries. Dang, it's been a while since I've seen you draw any Legends stuff, too. Nice one!

Ah, I didn't see the post edit as I was still looking at the former version. My bad.

As long as it's YOUR artwork thread, or a community effort! Dang, it's been a while since I've seen you draw any Legends stuff, too. Nice one! That's one itch I need to scratch. I was happy that one such work became part of the artbook the MM fans compiled and presented to Mr. Inafune, this past august (Volnutt in his D armor, from two years back). I'll throw in one more for tonight: The other artwork I submitted for the former: A doodle of X: While I have done a few works in the MMX style, I had consistent problems over the years- usually the length of the arms and legs. Most of that was remedied, though looking at it now, the pelvic region is a tiny bit iffy- on one hand, it can be seen that X has a slightly large butt, but on the other, the armor plating for said region is a bit thick... makes me wonder that if reploids did unsuccessful splits, would they make a sound.....? I was quite thrilled that this was accepted for the book, as well as the aforementioned work of Volnutt. I found myself at a loss when I heard of his positive reception to the art book as a whole- works compiled by fans around the world. Though my contributions were small bits on a larger scale, I could not help but feel a little proud upon hearing of Inafune's reaction to said artbook... I know it's old news, two months later, but it's something I will always treasure.

This time, I thought to put up a few doodles I did on my Wii U- one thing I love about the VC console on the system is the implementation of Miiverse: Outside the commentary and occasional tips, you can make little doodles for them. 1. This one I did on Mega Man X2- beating Wire Sponge with the sonic slice made me think of Goemon Ishikawa of Lupin the 3rd, particularly his usual comment whenever he slices up something mundane: "Once again, I cut a worthles object.." So I did X up along those lines. 2. Another MMX2 doodle- this one came after I noticed something I had not for a while- as you beat the X-Hunter stages, corresponding parts of the base fall to pieces. Outside the fact X was doing this to stop maverick activities, I couldn't help but see him reacting this way.. 3. This one I did when fighting Flame Stag. Given the way in which the stag in question fought (loosely) I did X up like a boxer- this wasn't the first time I did so (I may put that one up, some time), but my drawing skills on the gamepad needs work, compared with paper and pencil. For such small confines (I know there are ways to get around this, but I haven't gotten the hang of it), this turned out nicely, I think.

This one I did a few months ago, in lieu of Little Mac being added to SSB4. I had a feeling it would happen so I ended up doing something for it. Seeing how Mega Man had come onto the scene, earlier, but not to Smash, I thought of the idea of Mac showing the blue boy a few things. Since it was mostly fisticuffs, I drew Mega in his power armor. I had drawn Mac a few times, but it took a little work with his updated Smash design. As for Mega, this is the first time I drew his classic design, let alone one of his adapt armor variations. This was a fun work to draw, and I look forward to breaking them in when the game comes out. Attachments:

This one I did last week for a friend of mine- his birthday was a couple days ago. I went with the medieval minstrels bit- Scythe's playing the lute, I'm playing the tambourine, and since my friend liked Rayman, I had him playing the harp. It came together fairly quickly at a time I was mired in work and low in spirit- bad days at work kill creativity... Attachments:

work in progress I did a few months back- X in his shadow armor. Did a bit of add and shave on this one- I decided not to do the face mask, but could not resist the urge to throw in the ninja scarf. One thing I know I need to address is avoid drawing near the bottom of the page- as you can see, part of X's left foot is cut off. Fortunately, this kind of thing is easily fixed in later drafts. Been pretty busy, lately, so I don't know when, but I would like to finish this with a color update and finishing up the foot, as described.

Have you tried sketching in the whole basic form first, very lightly with simple shapes, just so you're sure nothing's getting cut off before putting in the detail? That helps, especially if you ink using some kind of pen because then you can erase the pencil afterward. Gel pens are generally cheap and reliable for that as long as you don't spill anything on your art.
Keep it up! You gonna try blending the Prismacolors for this one? They're really good for that.
