Happy 4th of July! What are all of you doing for the fourth?
I think this is the first thread I've ever started...woah.

I went to Pitman's annual Independence Day parade around 10:00 this morning. It seemed longer this year: it usually ends about 12:30, but ended at 2:00 this year. I mainly go to see my grandfather since he rides the first Highland firetruck in it.
After that I came home and began customizing my settings and installing programs on my laptop, which is now running Kubuntu: Firefox, RAR, WINE, Cedega, UNIX-based emulators, graphics software, the whole jazz. Surprisingly, the only thing that did not automatically function properly on install was my sound card; this is to be expected, considering its a Realtek HDA (quite a number of compatibility issues with every O/S except Vista). From what I saw, I should be able to fix this with a short modification to alsa-base.
Later, I'm going to my family barbecue like every year... after which we watch the fireworks. Then its time to install more software and attempt to get Halo PC functioning online on here.
And a happy Fourth of July to everyone!

I met with friends, ate a large amount of chinese food and checked out the local festivities.

I went to a cookout. My brother went to two cookouts though, so I'm sorely outclassed there. XD
Also finished watching Death Note. That was fun.

Wot wot? The Fourth of July?! When did winter end!? *taps sundial strapped to wrist* I didn’t do anything incredible. Chatted with some relatives at a get-together, watched the younger ones pop some fireworks, and partook of a homemade buffet prepared with the utmost love. All of which I did from the comfort of a living room sofa. It was all quite nice, even if something in that homemade buffet prepared with the utmost love got me sick later. A lot of my relatives are getting on in years... I rather regret not spending much time with them all when I was younger. In my defense, I do have an enormous family... But still. I suppose I’ve finally gotten over fireworks as well. I never even bothered to look up any local fireworks shows. Saddening really, but I guess the novelty was bound to wear off eventually. Perhaps I’ll feel more in the mood for it at New Years. Anyway, yes, happy Fourth of July to everyone out there. May all of your mailboxes survive the ordeal.

I went to THREE cookouts (ha, I win! Having divorced parents rules!). I played Guitar Hero at one, sang karaoke at another--and blew the comptetion by storm--and set off fireworks at the last. On an interesting sidenote, I'm out of gas.

I spent some time with my family. Ordered some pizza, watched fireworks...the usual good things.
