Well, I think it's about time that you people should hear what I write when I'm not writing remixes. Yeah...that's right, original compositions baby! xP Alright, so I made this song awhile back called Ice Castle Theme. At the time, it was cool. Recently, though...I've been thinking alot about it, so I started rewriting it...giving it everything is should've had the first go round. Well, after working on it for 6 hours...it hit me that this one song wasn't going to say what I wanted it to say. So then the idea of a concept album hit me. For those of you that don't really know what a Concept Album is...it's an album that's basically about one story. It's like a musical if there were no actors, props or talking...just the music. But that's wrong, that's just how mine is. >.> Ice Castle Theme (WIP) - Obivously...this will be about when the "Hero" of the story reaches the Ice Castle. Fall of the Ice Castles King (WIP) - About the death of the Ice Castles King. Honestly, though...a story hasn't been written down yet. That's sort of my problem...I'm not really that great at writing stories. All I have is that the King does something to piss this guy off and he sets out to get revenge. ^^; Anyways, any comments are always appreciated.

So, I’m never considerate enough to actually comment on your music (I don’t think, anyway... correct me if I’m wrong), but I will here. You’ve got a nice arrangement of songs between these and your remixes, you know. It should be said. Unfortunately, saying that I like the songs is just about all I can do in the way of commenting, since I really don’t have much of an ear for analyzing music. Anyway, when I listen to the Ice Castle Theme, it sounds a lot more Castle than Ice. Very regal and all, but it didn’t sound all that cold until right up near the end. Still good though... real easy on the ears. Same with the second one, though that flute thing you have going right along the piano at around 0:24 - 0:26 seemed out of place. Also, it didn’t really sound all that sad, as I would expect from a song about the king dieing. It’s darker than the first one, but not to any great extent. But even so, it still sounds very good. A concept album looks like an interesting experiment... Sounds more like something you'd write the music for first and them make up an accompanying story for later, though. The other way around sounds like a lot more work. But if you ever do finish it, you can expect that I'd listen. I don’t suppose you’d mind me asking for advice? I tried music synthesis myself once, my first attempt at which was actually openly laughed at by my so-called associates and promptly titled “The Worst Excuse for Music I’ve Ever Heard” between snorts. I’m not joking, either. What program do you use to make your music exactly?

Hm, I see what you mean about them not sounding "cold." And despite the titles, I don't think I intended for them to sound "cold." Just more of an adventure than anything. Where the story is recognizable no matter how you tell the story. But then again, I'm not even sure of the story just yet, so we'll see how that turns out. ^^;
Oh, and that's a Clarinet...not a Flute in the second track. If you can catch the hint at what the Clarinet is playing, then it makes more sense (note; it's playing a simplified version of the Ice Castles Theme...uh, theme, which happens after the long build up). Another thing about the King's death. He's not a good guy, so that should explain why it's not too sad. xP
Hm, Fruity Loops Studio 4.5.2. Mind you, that's an old version. I believe they're up to 6 now. It's also not just the program, but soundfonts as well. Half the stuff I use in my compositions are soundfonts. But since I'm no good at explaining what things are, you'd have better luck at researching them yourself. ^^;
