Prologue
A man about fifty-four years of age looked out one of the windows on the Flutter. It had been weeks since they had started to try and get Megaman back from the horrible place called Elysium. Data had somehow managed to come back but Megaman was still stuck up there.
His grand-daughter Roll and the reformed pirates were doing what they could to build the perfect rocket to go up there and bring Megaman back. So far there was no success.
This was exactly the reason why Barrel had never wanted Megaman to become a digger like he and Roll's father had been. Then again he saved the whole entire world from destruction.
Barrel took his mind off of Megaman then started to remember some of the good old days when he was a digger and how he got to be good friends the the more than rich Bluecher.

Chapter 1- Start of a New Day
Barrel Casket opened up his eyes and shut off his out-of-date alarm clock. He had been meaning to buy a new one but he was never on an island long enough to stop at the general store for one.
Barrel sat up in bed and looked at the clock with still tired eyes. It was six in the morning. He never wanted to get up that early but he had to go into the ruins early before the rush started. He found that out in his early years of digging back when he was about twenty-one. Now he was thirty and knew when to step into each ruin and when to try and get out.
Barrel lived on a small air ship all by himself and really didn't mind the silence. He owned probably one of the smallest air ships out there. There was the bridge at the front. Then there was a small hallway leading to about five doors. One was to lead outside. One led to Barrel's room which he also considered his living room.
His living room contained his bed, a couch, a computer, a television, and his dresser. The next door down was the kitchen which had only what he liked to eat and a refrigerator and stove. Next down was a small med center for injuries.
Below that floor was the second deck which only contained the engine room. It just a room that all one had to do was climb down a ladder and they were there.
Barrel went to his dresser and pulled from a drawer his digger suit. It wasn't much more than blue jeans, a black shirt, a trench coat, and his buster gun. Barrel threw on the clothes but left his buster lying on top of his dresser. He really didn't need it yet.
Every morning Barrel started off with cereal and coffee to wake him the rest of the way up. It wasn't much but it got him going in the morning. Barrel got up and washed his dishes then left them to dry.
Barrel went back to his room and picked up his buster gun then equipped it to his left hand. Barrel left his ship then looked up at the side of it with the name "Interceptor" painted on the side. That was the name of his ship. It wasn't his idea but it was painted on the side all ready when he bought it many years back.
Barrel was on Kattelox Island. An island paradise home to no more than about one-hundred people. There were four ruins but one of them, the Main Gate, was locked up. No one knows why it's locked up or for how long but there was no real reason to go in there when there was another three ruins to go into.
Barrel always went to the Cardon Forest Ruin when he stopped here. He was only acquainted with that ruin just for the fact that it wasn't big at all. It got him enough zenny to last a while.
Barrel looked up at the ruin then swiped his card through the scanner to access the place. The elevator descended down to the ground level. Barrel saw the yellow refractor once again and hoped that someday he could find a way to unlock the shield around it.
Barrel made one last thought about his family like he always did before starting a journey to where the reaverbots were. He had a nice family located back on Nino. Back when he started his life as a digger he got married to his childhood sweetheart Marissa and right away had a daughter Matilda.
Matilda was ten now and was great in school. Always doing homework and passing her tests like there was no tomorrow. He loved his family but before he left to explore more ruins Marissa divorced from Barrel. Both of them still got together now and then but they didn't talk much often.
Barrel entered through the sliding doors and expected the usual reaverbots waiting for him. Barrel looked around and saw nothing. A foo roo came out of no where and almost hit him in the face.
"Son of a gun. Blasted reaverbots." shouted as he blasted the reaverbot to bits. Barrel always had a bad time controlling his profanity. He was doing what he could to cut back on it and thankfully did that time.
Barrel ran over to the zenny and put it away before it disappeared. He hated it when he couldn't get to it in time and lost out on money.
Barrel looked behind him and saw some Jakkos flying straight for him. Barrel did a barrel roll and aimed his buster for their nest. He destroyed it then jumped the distance for the zenny then blasted the Jakkos themselves out of the air.
Barrel loved the fresh smell of burnt metal on the ruins. It was what he lived on. It would probably kill him someday but it was the only scent in the ruins.
Barrel went through the ruins and was about to leave when out of nowhere a reaverbot jumped out and hit him in the face scarring the left side of his face and damaging his eyes. Barrel got back up and stumbled out of the ruins heading towards Uptown.
There was a hospital located there and he hoped that they would be able to fix him up. It didn't take long to walk the distance and was able to get into the surgery room right away.
The last thing Barrel saw was the doctors getting their tools out before he passed out. Some time passed before Barrel woke up still in his digger outfit.
"I'm sorry but we really couldn't save your banged up parts. We were able to give you implants that should keep you going the rest of your life."
Barrel looked into a mirror and saw what the doctor was talking about. He had a metal plate over the left half of his face and green robotic eyes.
"Well I'll be. These doctors can do anything." Barrel left the hospital heading back to the Interceptor. Waiting for him was a young woman about twenty.
"Barrel Casket. I wanted to ask you something."
"What is it Amelia?" Barrel asked annoyed by the woman. Amelia was a good looking woman and was always looking to make it big in life and possibly be mayor of Kattelox someday.
"I was wondering if I could be a spotter for you while your in the ruins."
"I don't need one..." Barrel tried saying.
Amelia cut him off, "Everyone needs one though. Just look what happened to you today."
Barrel thought about it for a second and agreed with her. He needed a spotter to help him out. "Come on Amelia. You're right. Come aboard the Interceptor with me and we can set up that spotter equipment that I have."

Chapter 2- Defense
Bola and Klaymoor looked out the front window of their airship. They had been air pirates for a few years now and were quite reckless. Neither cared about who got hurt just about their treasure.
Bola was usually silent when not down on the ground pillaging a city or small town. His weapons were mainly an arsenal of blade like items usually ranging from a rapier to a boomerang type blade.
Klaymoor on the other hand was rowdy and was into guns. Both of them were in relaxation clothes at the moment and were doing almost nothing except for Bola. Since he had a great collection of swords, he usually polished them from time-to-time and was exactly what he was doing at that moment.
"Bola do you have to polish your swords after every fight?" Klaymoor asked in his rough voice.
"Yeah, why not? You may not like things shiny clean but I do." replied Bola in a calm relaxed voice. "I bought these swords in excellent condition and intend to keep them decent."
"That's why sometimes I regret becoming your partner."
"Just shut it Klaymoor! We've been making good money! You can't argue with that kind of logic!"
"I guess you're right Bola. Where would I be without you?"
"Still in that stupid prison back on Calbania. We were best friends from our childhood and I had to do something to get you out of there. Had no reason but to destroy the place. I really doubt that anyone survived."
"I'm still glad you rescued me from that place." Alarms went off after the conversation ended and Bola flipped a switch to radar mode.
"We've got a ship about one-hundred feet ahead of us. I'm getting a diagnostic of it now." Bola said waiting for the stats to get to him. "It's not much and we can probably get whatever zenny is on-board. Sensors detect two people on there and a broken artillery cannon located within the top of it."
"Let's go Bola." Bola and Klaymoor rushed to their rooms and equipped their armor. Bola's armor wasn't unique at all. He had come across an old style digger armor at a junk store for a low price and it seemed to suit him fine.
Klaymoor's armor was a different story. Klaymoor decided to go mainly defensive with his armor and made it mainly from iron or aluminum. It was usually hard to maneuver in the armor but it came out in the end almost without a scratch.
They were approaching the ship at a great rate and prepared to jump whoever was on the ship. That was a mistake that they would regret for a while. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Barrel and Amelia had just finished setting up the spotter equipment. After lift-off Barrel set the ship for auto-pilot. It didn't take more than forty minutes to install the hardware and com-link system along with a 3-D digital map of every ruin along with the reaverbot activity in it.
Barrel sat on the couch in his room next to Amelia. Both of them were tired from working non-stop just to set up some simple machinery.
Alarms started going off just as soon as Barrel touched the couch. "What in the world could it be now?" Barrel shouted just wanting to rest. Barrel and Amelia went to the bridge and looked at the radar. "Blast it all. Pirates. Never thought I would run into any in my time. Well I guessed wrong."
"Does the Interceptor have any type of weapons?" Amelia asked searching for some sort of weapon control device.
"Yes it does but it's been broken ever since I bought it and never bothered to try and repair it."
"I have an idea. You head to the upper deck and take care of any pirates that are trying to invade the ship. While you do that I'll make the repairs on the gun and let you know when it's ready."
"It's a stupid idea but I guess we have no other options." Barrel all ready had his armor equipped so all he did was climb the ladder to the upper deck and indeed saw a pirate's ship coming in for his own. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Bola saw a figure stand up on the upper deck and nearly lost control of the ship as he laughed his head off. "Klaymoor come look at this! This dude thinks he can take on the both of us!"
"Never underestimate an opponent Bola. For all we know he could be a distraction for the other person to operate the gun located on the ship."
Bola thought about it for a second then forgot about it as he headed for the upper deck ladder. Klaymoor followed him and both were then standing on top of the ship with mild winds blowing fiercely at them. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Barrel saw the two pirates on top of their ship and readied his buster. One of them was in a rust colored armor and the other in a near black armor. Both of them teleported from their positions down to the Interceptor's upper deck.
"What the heck do you want with my ship?" Barrel asked.
"Oh nothing except for the zenny stored on-board." Klaymoor said. Klaymoor pointed his gun at Barrel. "Let us get the zenny and my partner and I won't have to use deadly force against you."
Barrel's robotic eyes had a scanner in them and he decided to scan their armor and see if it was worth fighting them. "You'll never get by me." Barrel replied.
Bola pulled out two broad swords and swung them around a couple times just to get his wrists loosened up. Klaymoor started shooting but missed Barrel completely as the thirty-year-old flipped over Klaymoor and got a shot in himself.
Bola started slashing at Barrel and got in a couple of hits but Barrel didn't really care about the smaller stuff. If he got a deep wound he would immediately go back into the Interceptor.
Klaymoor came back around with his right hand and connected hard with Barrel's jaw. Barrel flew back almost over the side to his death but caught himself just in time. Bola jumped over to Barrel and slashed at where he had just been.
Barrel shot Klaymoor while Bola was trying to dislodge his second sword from the upper deck of the airship. Klaymoor took no notice of the hits and shot directly at Barrel. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Amelia was working frantically on the turret. The gun was so old that she recognized almost none of the pieces. Amelia however had her laptop with her and was able to look-up what she needed to finish the gun.
Amelia looked all over the ship for spare parts that she could use to make the pieces she needed. She only needed to make one more item and that was the power couplings. She looked through all the items she had and thought that none of those items could be used to make the last piece. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Bola was still working with his sword while Klaymoor was loosing to Barrel. Klaymoor had horrible aim and missed every shot even when Barrel was at point blank range.
Barrel kicked at Klaymoor's midsection and was shocked to find his foot go through the armor. Barrel knew that he could do some serious damage. Barrel kept kicking at Klaymoor spinning and switching feet. Barrel was then able to jump up and kick off Klaymoor's metal helmet protecting his head.
Klaymoor was dazed and nearly fell over the ship. "Bola, you'll have to finish him. I can't take the pounding any more for now."
"Always like you to leave me the last one to fight." Bola dislodged his sword and started swinging at Barrel. Barrel ducked the swings as he backed away from Bola. At the right moment Barrel grabbed one of the swords and pried it from Bola's hand.
The two of them started clashing swords trying to get an advantage over the other. Sparks flew as the swords hit each other. Barrel was skilled in sword fighting like Bola so at least he was equal to the pirate. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------- "It's finished!" Amelia cried out happily. Amelia then opened the com system to Barrel and told him the news. Barrel told Amelia to activate the turret while he started retreating into the Interceptor.
Amelia flipped the switch and watched as Barrel climbed down the ladder shutting the hatch behind him. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Barrel had thrown Bola's sword back as he climbed down the ladder. Bola had done all he could to taunt him back into battle but it didn't work.
Bola heard a mechanical noise going on behind him and turned to see the turret rising out from the upper deck. "Aw crap." Bola said to himself. Bola teleported himself back to his ship's bridge where Klaymoor was waiting for him.
"We have to get out of here now Klaymoor. They have the gun active and it's about ready to fire at any..." Bola never finished as the ship was hit hard by the gun's energy blast.
"We have fires in all of the engine rooms. We'll have to land on the nearest island and repair the ship." Klaymoor said looking at the readings.
"Agreed Klaymoor." ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------- "That'll show them!" Barrel said as the enemy ship started gliding downward. The gun worked like it was supposed to and was glad that Amelia came through just in time.
"Well that's that." Amelia said wiping sweat from her brow. "That gun had a complicated design and took me a while to create the parts for it. We'll have to find a junk store on the next island and buy the right pieces."
"Right. For now though I'm going to sleep. The only other thing I have is the couch and you're welcome to sleep on it until I can get a bed for you."
"Thanks Barrel. I'll set the ship to auto-pilot for the next island. It'll let us know when we're there." Barrel and Amelia said no more as they walked to Barrel's room to get much needed sleep.

Chapter 3- Bluecher's Plan
Bluecher paced along the bridge upon his ship the Sulpher. He was going over his plan once again. Just a few minutes ago he discovered a ship coming close to his own. He had called to the ship and found out that his old friend Barrel was piloting it.
He and Barrel had been best friends since they were kids and hadn't seen each other since graduating high school. They were always discussing about their future and what they planned to accomplish by the next time they saw each other.
Bluecher was kind of terrified at what Barrel would think because he never accomplished his goal. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------- "I can't believe I'm going to meet up with Bluecher for the first time in many years." Barrel said to himself throwing on some random clothes that were for relaxation. "It's been far too long."
"So this is your friend?" Amelia asked stepping out of the bathroom in a nice dress.
"Yes." Barrel said not looking at Amelia just yet. Barrel turned around and saw her looking formal. "You don't have to be so formal Amelia."
"Why didn't you say that before I got dressed?" Amelia said putting her hands at her hips.
"I didn't know you were getting dressed. You never said so." Barrel went to the bridge and called to Bluecher. "We're docking now Bluecher. Be ready for us."
"Sure thing Barrel." Barrel piloted the Interceptor towards Bluecher's ship and watched as the docking bays opened up. Barrel took the Interceptor up into the larger ship and landed it. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Bluecher was all ready in the docking bay as the Interceptor landed. Bluecher watched as the door opened and Barrel and Amelia climbed down on the ladder.
Barrel and Amelia made their way over to Bluecher and greeted each other. "It's great to see you again Barrel." Bluecher said shaking his friend's hand.
"You too Bluecher. I thought that you said next time we would meet each other, you'd be a billionaire." Barrel said.
Bluecher felt embarrassed by Barrel revealing his own promise. "Yeah I know. I'm on my way but just can't seem to get anywhere. So, do you want lunch?"
Barrel and Amelia were hungry since they never had breakfast. Bluecher led them to a nice dining room where an impressive lunch was waiting for the three of them. Barrel and Amelia were the first to sit down then Bluecher after them.
The lunch was amazing and Barrel felt as if he couldn't eat another bite. Bluecher looked over at Barrel ready to speak what was on his mind.
"Barrel, I've been doing research on Forbidden Island."
"Yeah. So?"
"In about eight years I plan to have two dropships ready. The two of us are going down to Forbidden Island."
Barrel snapped straight up and threw aside the table between him and Bluecher. Barrel went over to his "buddy" and picked him up by the collar. "What makes you think I'm going with you?" Barrel said holding the insane person up off of the ground.
"You're the only person that has the skills to go along with me."
"You're crazy! You know that everyone that's gone to Forbidden Island has never come back. It's like instant death!" Barrel said.
"Come on Barrel. It's still eight more years." Barrel couldn't take anymore of it. He threw Bluecher up against the wall and was about to nail him in the jaw. Two of Bluecher's guards came up from behind Barrel and peeled him off of Bluecher.
"I'll never go with you Bluecher. Even in eight years!" Barrel said while being dragged out of the door.
"Sorry Barrel but it's all ready been decided!"
Amelia, who has been silent the whole time stood up from her seat. "Sorry about this Mr. Bluecher."
"No problem Amelia." Amelia left the room to the docking bay where Barrel almost left without her.
"That dirty little..." Barrel muttered to himself. "I'll never go with him."
"Forget about it Barrel. There's nothing that you can do now. In eight years maybe you'll have changed your mind."
"Like that'll ever happen." Barrel started up the Interceptor's engines and started out of the docking bay. Their next destination was Manda Island. They heard that there was a newly discovered ruin.
Barrel needed the money to get supplies. They were running dangerously low and were also low on money. Barrel knew that a new ruin was going to be filled with reaverbots like crazy. They would be filled with zenny. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Amelia left Barrel at the bridge to go into their room. She had been working on something for Barrel. He needed armor and immediately. He went around ruins getting shot at with nothing but jeans, a black shirt, a trench coat, and a buster.
She had seen what happened to Barrel on Kattelox and knew that he needed armor if he wished to go into larger ruins. She was working on blue armor for Barrel with a new buster as well.
Her project was coming along perfectly. The armor was almost done. All she had left to do was the upper torso and it was ready to be put to the test.
She had been working on it for days and knew that Barrel would appreciate something to keep him safe. It didn't take much longer to finish welding the pieces together. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------- "Keep your eyes closed Barrel." Amelia said steering him towards his room.
"What are you about to show me Amelia?"
"Open your eyes Barrel." Barrel opened his eyes and saw the beautifully crafted armor sitting on a dummy.
"It's amazing Amelia. Did you make this for me?"
"Of course Barrel. You can't go into ruins getting shot at with nothing on."
"It'll work Amelia. Thanks." Barrel walked over to his new armor and slipped it on. It fit perfectly. Barrel then tried out the buster just to make sure it worked. There was no armor better than this one. This armor was powerful and Barrel could feel it.

Chapter 4- Manda's Secrets
Barrel looked up at the door to Manda Island's ruin. Barrel wasn't too sure about going into the ruin. He had never been to it before and hoped that his new armor along with Amelia would help him get through.
"Are you ready?" Amelia's voice rang out over the spotter system.
"No, but we need the money and this looks to be a pretty large ruin. If my guess is correct, then there should be a massive refractor at the end guarded by an equally large reaverbot." ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------- "Whenever you're ready Barrel." Amelia watched as a small blip indicating Barrel started for the entrance. Amelia had studied for years on how to be a great spotter. She had hoped that those fifteen books she read on the dangers and rewards of digging would pay off.
Amelia looked out the window of Barrel's room and saw the lush green field located outside the town of Pokte famous for its one-hundred question quiz given to those worthy enough by the mayor. Amelia learned that even over decades, no one has answered all questions correctly but kept trying for the prize at the end.
"Stop day-dreaming Amelia and get ready to back me up."
"Sure thing." ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Barrel got into the elevator down to the main floor. Barrel was amazed at the grass that seemed to overtake the entire ruin. Barrel walked toward a blue statue. He ran his hands over the ancient writings inscribed into the stone.
"What does this tower say Amelia?"
"It doesn't look like much except for saying that you need some sort of blue card to activate some sort of bridge."
"Thanks. Let's get going." Barrel went to the door to his left. Barrel was shivering in his armor even though the place was really warm. "I really don't like the looks of this place Amelia. Are you getting any reaverbot signatures?"
"Yes, and a lot, but they're disappearing just as quickly." Barrel rounded a corner and saw what Amelia meant.
"What the...? It looks like there's no end to them. They just keep coming. Another thing is that it looks as if they don't notice me." Barrel dropped down into the middle of the two columns and found out that his theory was right.
"Amelia, I'm sending you a picture of this reaverbot. Look it up for me and give me the information on it."
"Right away." ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Amelia got Barrel's picture and set it onto a scanner which was linked up to a near-by computer. Amelia wheeled her chair over to the computer and started looking up the National Digger's Guild website which apparently had information on every reaverbot in existence. She found pictures of the reaverbot that they found but no real information.
Amelia then went to a website she found to have an odd name, legends-station.com where she found all the info she needed. "Barrel, this reaverbot is called the Inmii. It's not too much and really has no form of attack except for plowing over obstructions in their path. Other than that they're harmless." ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------- "Thanks for all that Amelia." Barrel continued forward and found another two columns of the Inmii. Barrel just skipped them for he had found out that they give out little zenny. In the final pit he found more but at the end found some sort of tower hanging upside-down. Barrel took it as nothing and went up the elevator.
On the second floor Barrel ran into frog-like reaverbots which Amelia called Frongel. Barrel found out that they don't attack you right away either unless you're in their path. Later Barrel would find out that it was only certain ones.
Barrel felt colder as he pushed on finding ways around certain challenges. Barrel found the blue card and activated the bridge. He then ran back to the second story and blasted through every reaverbot he came across.
Still as he continued he felt colder than when he started. "Amelia, can you get a temperature reading in the ruin?"
"I'm getting eighty degrees." Barrel took that into his mind and pondered on why he was so darn cold. Barrel walked through two more doors and found that the color of the grass had changed to a brown-green. He rounded what was the last corner and found a symbol of a key hanging above the door.
Barrel entered the room and looked around for a refractor. He didn't get much of a chance for a giant frog reaverbot fell from the ceiling. "Amelia!"
"All ready searching Barrel. It's called the Galgalfummi."
"Well heck that's a mouth-full." The reaverbot jumped to the block nearest to Barrel and lashed out its long tongue. It wrapped itself around Barrel and took him in as a meal.
Barrel looked at the inside of the reaverbot and found nothing much except a refractor that could fetch some good money. "Perfect." Barrel reached out with his armored hands and plucked the refractor out of the refractor chamber and heard the reaverbot power down.
Barrel then climbed out of the reaverbot's mouth and saw a key floating above a platform just waiting for someone to take it. "What would a key be doing here?" Barrel said extending a hand towards the key. Before he could even touch it, some sort of shield shocked Barrel with a lot of electricity.
Barrel barely managed to take his hand back and started for the door. "Amelia, I'm coming back. I found a refractor and I'm going to see how much I can get for it."
"All right Barrel. I'll see you in a little bit."
Barrel looked back at the key one last time and thought that he might keep the information on it to himself.

Chapter 5- Key to the Future
Amelia was standing outside of the Interceptor waiting for Barrel to come back from his journey. Amelia sniffed the air as Barrel got close to her.
"Barrel, did something happen to you while you were in the ruin?" she asked in a tone that said 'I'll get the truth from you even if you lie.'
"Of course not Amelia. Where would you get an idea like that?" Barrel replied nearly stumbling up the ladder.
"See Barrel you can barely stand upon your own two feet. Here let me help you in." Amelia went in behind Barrel and nearly shoved him through the door. "Follow me Barrel, I have some medical supplies in our room."
Barrel, unwillingly, followed after her. In their room Amelia had already pulled out a medical kit with items for any type of emergency. She grabbed Barrel's left arm and stripped the armor off of it.
"How in the world did you get electrocuted!?"
"I'd rather not discuss that at this moment." Neither of them said anything more until about half an hour later Amelia finished wrapping up Barrel's left arm.
"Alright Barrel. All finished on this end."
"Leave me Amelia. I just want nothing but rest."
Amelia turned to leave the room and asked, "Do you want anything to eat?" She didn't get a response and turned around to see that Barrel had already taken off his armor and fell fast asleep. "Good-night Barrel." Amelia said turning off the lights and then shutting the door. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Barrel woke up in a dark room with nothing around him. The thirty year old man stood up and looked around. "What happened to my room? And since when did I wear my armor while sleeping?" Barrel asked himself seeing his armor equipped. "This isn't funny Amelia!"
A teen of about only fourteen appeared about thirty feet away from him. "I'm the one who brought you here Barrel. We need to talk."
"Tell me who you are before anything else." Barrel said activating his buster. Barrel looked closer and noticed that the kid had the same armor as his with only a few alterations.
"You don't need to know about me yet Barrel. You'll find that out later in life. That is if you make it that long."
"What are you talking about?"
"You're an important key to the future Barrel. Everything that happens in the future is based off of what you do. As an example; later in life you land on Kattelox, if you don't survive, the island will die."
Barrel had enough of this crap, "Shut up. You don't know my future!!!"
"Ah but I do Barrel. Just listen to me. I'm not here to fight you. Just here to share some information. Stop your days of digging Barrel. Stop it now while you still have a chance."
"Never!" Barrel leaped into the air and landed directly in front of the unknown kid. A blue weapon formed on his right arm. Barrel fired it and saw a laser beam shoot out from it.
The kid evaded the attack and a white weapon formed upon his right arm. "The shining laser. I remember that weapon. Now though I have an upgraded version. The kid fired and hit Barrel square in the chest. Barrel blacked out for a minute before coming to. The kid was standing over him.
"Come to your senses Barrel. Don't do anything worth regretting." The kid disappeared and Barrel awoke from his nightmare. He got out of his bed and went to the kitchen and fetched a glass of water.
"Barrel what's wrong? I heard you screaming in your sleep." Amelia said coming into the kitchen.
"A nightmare. Some kid came to me saying that I'm a key to the future. I really don't want to think about it right now."
"Don't then. Just finish your water and come back to bed."
"Will do." Amelia left and Barrel finished his water. He threw it in the sink and returned to his room sleepless still thinking about if he truly was a key to the future.
