Last week in my english class, we had to do an ethical dilemma project and give a presentation on what we did. In a most unorthadox move, I did mine based on the theme of Man and Science, using Steam Boy as the basis of the project: The idea of Man's advancements through Science and the dangers of thier own ignorance and greed. Sort of a 'what if' scenario, to put it simply. I was nervous considering I may be one of the few who have used used Anime/Manga for a school project, but I aced it like nobody's business. . An important project aside, it's something I'm a little proud of. ...I don't suppose anyone here has done something like this they'd like to share?

Well, last year when I had to do an oral report on what would be imo, the perfect utopia, I based myself greatly on Kattleox Island, although I added a few things in accordance to my own personal philosophy. I got a good grade, but it wasn't very hard anyway. Plus, I didn't mention where I got the idea from so you did better than me. ;D Congrats on your project, I saw Steamboy a while back, but I don't remember that much (especially since it was Japanese with French subtitles, a little hard to follow), it had something to do with the building of a giant tower, that wasn't supposed to be used for evil purposes but ultimately was, I think. In any case, what you based your project on seems very plausible. I did notice the whole movie had a sort of black and white tint (except for the girl's clothes) to reflect on the setting of the industrial revolution, I suppose.
