Who here has actually seen this wonderful gem of a movie??? I thought it was utterly amazing. The art style, music, and message are so charming and dynamic that it just captivates you and warms your heart. Sadly, this Studio Ghibli movie did poorly in Japan (I have NO idea why). But now, we have the opportunity to see it in America. What makes it an especially good DVD is the English version (Yes, I like to watch things dubbed... so sue me) voice cast (Molly Shannon especially). I hope all of you guys get the chance to see this wonderful film.

What luck! someone uploaded it at youtube, so I'm watching it there. ;D *5 minutes later* Wow, the animation's unique and I just love the humor. I can't see why this film wouldn't do so well in Japan. But that's just me, I guess. |

Oh, the things they have on YouTube....
It's good that you like it. When I was watching it, I thought they used all watercolors, but it turns out that it was all done with computers. Either way, it's amazing. I can't wait till you see the whole thing!

It's amazing how sometimes the simplest things in life can turn into one big joke. If you watch the 'fight over the tv bit' you'll see what I mean (favorite part!). ;D ;D
