I swear I saw a thread about this, but upon investigation, I couldn't find it @_@. If anyone finds it, please alert me to its presence and I'll take care of it right away.
Anyways, I've been really getting into the whole "Project .Hack//" stuff. So far, though, I only have the manga that's released in the U.S.: Legend of Twilight and AI buster. I finished all three volumes of Legend of Twilight and the first AI buser and one story in AI buster 2. I'm kinda glad I started with these because they're a lot more light-hearted, I hear, than SIGN and the PS2 games.
My favorite characters are Hotaru (of course!) and Hokuto (I wish there was more about her ;o;). The characters are so amazing!!! I love how they portray the real-world in the manga: you can't see people's eyes and it is a little bit darker and less detailed.
I just finished downloading the first episode of a new series in Japan and I'm gonna watch it. DISCUSS!!!

I got all teh Legend of Twilight mangerz and seen avery epi of teh show. Yes, Legend of Twilight was the only one I really got into. The games all look quite dark for my tastes, and when it aired on Toonami, .Hack//Sign's tone seemed similarly dark. Not to mention that Kite irritated the mess out of me. "I have a teddy bear and I'll thumb it's eye until it pops out and then I'll eat it and spit it on the ground. Because I'm trapped in my emoticons like dat." But really, even that series looked outstanding, its just that it was a good bit too dark. But yes, I love the light-hearted mood of Twilight, and my favorite characters from the series were probably Komijon the Third and... er... whatever her name was with the spear from the Cerulean Knights. But generally, all the characters were good. I loved most of the series' storyline, especially time spent exposing Balmung's quirkiness and involving bizarre sister-on-brother relationships. Now I did find that part to be pretty strange.
