Did anyone go to Anime North this year? I went and it was pretty fun. I went on Sunday for 6-7 hours. There was so much to see. A lot of people dressed up as anime/video game characters. Of course I was hoping to find some Legends stuff, but all I found was MegaMan Legends(and I have that already). So I ended up buying a Meowth plushie, and a small Vaporeon and Jolteon toy. These are the places I went to for my first Anime North. Dealers Room: This is where all the best things are. Anime DVDs, posters, manga, t-shirts..and so much more. It's hard to not give into temptation and spend all your money! Hotel: In the hotel there were these rooms where you could watch Anime. My favourite was the session "Worst Anime EVER." If anyone wants to know the worst I could explain the ones I remember(most of them were from the 70-80s)

Well I couldn't go to Anime North if I wanted to, seeing as I don't live in Canada... that and I'm flat broke. It sounds pretty cool, but ehh.... I went to a different convention a few weeks ago though - Anime Central(Acen for short) - and that was pretty neat. Didn't really getta see anything, but I bought two mangas(*hugs his Onegai Teacher mangas*). That cost me all my money though, so I hadta live off the free Goldfish, other chips, and soda they had in one of the dining areas. And I got to see lots of cosplayers. ;D It was phun. And my badge thingy ROCKED. Look! ;D

Well, living in Hawaii, we never got the privilege of having such things until just recently. A few weeks ago, the Blazedel center hosted the first anime convention on the islands, called the Kawaii Con, or something to that effect. I wasn't able to go, as I was busy infiltrating the Chinese government to gather information about the secret spy satellite launch they were planning on the 20th, which I summarily endeavored to wrench out of their hands by *add in several more lines of digression here*, but my friends were able to go, and they had some very interesting things for sale, from pendants to DVDs/manga, and some interviews with voice actors from a few dubbed animes (well, actually, those were live, and therefore not for sale...). The whole thing was also one huge cosplay session. My friends all dressed up. I considered putting aside my foray to China to go with them when they mentioned how much I looked like Rock Lee, but I ultimately declined. One of them is still wearing a little hair clip with an anime sweat drop on it that she bought there. I plan to go next year though, costumed or not.
