Hey does anybody know where I can get a downloadable video of the Opera scene from FFIII (VI)? I already have the song, (thank you Napster, poor Napster), but if there's anything more to collect then I'd like to know...
P.S. Talk about Final Fantasy her, but since we haven't had any like threads in the past don't expect too much of a response.

No, I don't know where you can download the actual scene. Unless someone ripped it from a ROM, I doubt it.
Anyways, I love Final Fantasy, but much less than I used to.

All the Final Fantasys are playable, my faves are Eight and Six. Or maybe the other way around, depending on how I feel at the time. Ten was pretty good, but not the best game I've ever played. Blitzball was fun. X-2 was kind of---ummm, yeah.... It had its moments.
A lot of people name Seven as their favorite, but I don't think it's THAT great, although it is very, very good. The plot was a little overdone (meaning, a little out there for me).
I started out with One for the NES, and I've still got it. It was a blast. Tactics was also very well-produced, but the translation was about the same as if Japanese fourth graders had done it (which, may, in fact, be what happened). Only Capcom's Breath of Fire Two was worse in the translation department.

Hey, I liked the translation of FFT. Unless you're talking about FFTA.
Also, I played 6 the most, and that was back on the SNES. I also have been playing 8 recently, although I stopped when trying to get a Power Generator. (It's so rare!)
Personally, I like 7 the least. Then 1. 7 was alright for a while, but it wasn't too spectacular. Plus it has the biggest fanboy and n00b fanbase, and it's just too overhyped.

Bam. With that last sentence, you hit it right on the head.
But, not to be an ass, but I don't see how you could be more wrong about FFT's translation. I mean the PSX original. The game was very good, but the translation was so horrible. I was correcting the broken English the characters were speaking at every turn. It's like when you use Babelfish on a Japanese website or something.
But the game itself was fun to play, once you could figure out what was going on.

If you're talking about TYPOS, that's another thing. The language, however, is very well done.

Yeah, you could probably make a killing out of writing GOOD translations for a lot of those 'just arrived from japonia, still wet from the voyage' games. But I'd rather have a bad translation than no translation, or bouncing off the walls crazyness that could only come from Japan... or Nippon, if you want to get picky . As for the FF scene I was looking for, I did mean ripped, or reproduced, but really I guess that you don't just find those lying around. I have the song, but it just isn't the same, and playing the game through again would be... inconvenient. I like FF2 the best. The American FF2. What is it FF4 over there? I liked them better when they were more European, and... Fantasy, rather than hybrid of Sci-Fi plus Magic plus swords... *bows head in shame*

I guess you could play through the game, or the PSX remake, and save it right before the opera scene, then ust keep that ready for whenever you want to see it.
Or...there's one other option.

Kidnap the programmers children and hold them hostage until my demands are met?

Well, I think I have every FF released except XI. I don't like MMORPGs that much.
I don't have the jap FFIII. I don't know if it's ever been released in the US.
