Okay. I'm in a dilemma. I need to decide what I should focus my time and energy towards. I'm currently dead-locked between three different things I want to illustrate.
Here are the Plots:
Maverick, a Space Story: That's the full title. Shadow is an officer of the Galactic Special Forces and is a type of officer referred to as a Maverick, which is part-undercover, part-patrol, and part-on call officer. Shadow Travels across the galaxy, making new allies such as Raine, the Desurite pilot. His purpose is to stop crimes that happen all across the galaxy.
What I like about this storyline: It's very expansive and it is easy to create the type of setting I want. I have so many little twists planned to keep it interesting. I have also put quite a bit of development already.
What I don't like about it: Again, it's expansive, which means LOTS of designing. Also, I'm bad at designing technical things, such as spaceships, so this one, though it has some of the most potential, would also be the most work and seems a bit daunting for my first project.
Bond of Blood: This is my little gothic vampire story. It plays along the line of the stereotype of High-school students finding themselves in fantastic situations. Many of the characters don't have names, yet. Okay, so there's this boy and this girl who have been best friends since Kindergarden. They get along great but oddly know little about each other's families. Still, they are somewhat outcast from the rest of the students, save the one painfully sarcastic friend they have. Turns out, the girl is a Vampire. Now, this might be somewhat awkward and do-able if it wasn't for the fact that the boy has been groomed from birth to be a vampire hunter. Enter extreme awkwardness when they figure out the truth about each other simultaniously.
What I like about it: It's fairly simple and gives me a lot of material to work from. It's also fairly original.
What I dislike about it: It isn't very developed and I don't see it lasting for very long. Coming up with more material after the initial story isn't going to be easy. It might actually be better this way, however...
Karma:This would be a Megaman Legends comic. It doesn't feature Rock and Roll, but instead characters entirely of my own creation. It uses Dietrich, who I described in the character forum on the RP board. During a dig through some chilling ruins filled with Reaverbots that appear to have been zombified due to the energy-draining properties of the narby rocks, Dietrich stumbled across what appears to be a young girl with tan skin kept in stasis. Oddly, this Tan girl seldom eats and knows a lot about reaverbots, able to give many vital statistics from simply seeing one.
What I like about it: It gives me a universe to work with, so I can take many things for granted. I also have an idea as to where it will go and how it will conclude.
What I dislike about it. It's unoriginal. Also, though I can take things for granted, adapting my style to that of the Legends Universe might be difficult.
So, what do you guys think? Which storyline should I work on? Please post suggestions and vote.
