Would anyone think I was obsessive (or insane) if I wrote a fan-fic where I meet MegaMan and his pals?

People have gone farther than that, but for the most part, no one will care, everyone imagines being in a world where you do something cool, or meet someone who does soemthing cool. No one will think you are wierd, others have done it before you.

Paragons story made no sense at all, MegaDaffy hasn't givin any proof that is crazy and stupid. Everyone imagines themselves in the Legends world (or at least I hope ;D), but Paragons was waaaay to extreme, them coming here and over throwing capcom, yours is a completely different situation.

Basically what I told Paragon is that if the story revolves around you, don't expect anybody to like it but you. It's like a diary. Who can read it and understand it but the author? Because it's self-focused, it's extremely difficult to relate to it as fiction.
And you know, there's nothing really wrong with that if you still want to write it. Getting your ideas out is an important part of writing, and if this idea keeps nagging at you, it'd probably be good for you to go ahead and get it out there, just to see what it turns out like. But I would urge you that, even if this fic falls through, keep trying your hand at it.
This is all very presumptuous though, since you haven't even begun from what I can tell. But it's nice to know there's a new fiction author around, potentially.

Actually, It's not going to totally be about me. Here's the rundown: I buy Mega Man 64 and somehow end up in his world (I was thinking the usual "main character gets sucked into another dimension" plot that they used in Digimon,Monster Rancher and any anime they used it in). Land in a ruin, get attacked and rescued by Mega Man. Get taken back to the Flutter, Meet everyone... That's about what I have right now.

If I could weigh in, I really don't like self-insertion stories, because they all end up being very juvenile (unlike all other fanfictions, which are totally mature and respectable).
Okay, my point is, respect your audience enough to give them what they want. Rather than having MegaMan rescue YOU, have him rescue an original character who is nothing like you. (This is a hard exercise. Make the character as much different from yourself as possible, i.e., female where you are male, pushy where you are laid back, etc.)
Or, better yet, insert some other recognizable but relatively unknown character from the fandom and put him/her in that position (Some suggestions are Denise, Joe, Yai, Loath---MegaMan saving Loath? That would be REALLY interesting, wouldn't it?). This gives you the freedom to create the character's personality to a certain extent while still giving the readers someone that they are acquainted with.
This stuff won't necessarily make a story better, but it will make it far, far more attractive to readers and fans.
