I'm trying to rally support in various places, and I realized that we actually have a surprising number of Pokémon fans around the place, so I just thought I'd post this here in case any of you all are interested. All you have to do is color Butterfree, and there's one month left to do so before the deadline. For further details, head to Sneasel Plushie sneaselplushie.legends-station.com and read the full contest post on the 21st of June.

Much's I'm a fan of Pokemon - yes I do enjoy the games, but mainly just the old-skool ones - my CG-ing skills are crap. And my ACTUAL coloring skills... aww shoot, don't get me started on those. I could try I guess though... =/ should really just save myself the embarassment. Seems everywhere I go, people have these incredible CG-ing skills or coloring skills.

I used to be a huge fan of Pokémon, but my fandom evetually faded into other things (i.e. more mature anime). However, I still play the games once in a while. I'll give it a try.

I don't know if this will be my final entry, but if it is, I hope it doesn't get tossed aside due to its size. This took longer than you'd think. XD Edit: I had to edit your line art credit so that it would fit. Otherwise it would be illegible. I hope you don't mind.

I'm not sure if fab'll accept that, but that's really clever.
Guess I better give it a shot sometime soon too. It is why I asked for a CG guide afterall..

I'm working on mine, but after Rockman's, I don't even think it's worth entering what with only having paint and being a crappy artist in general . Oh well, yours looks really cool, but yeah, Pitch might be right, he might not accept it because of the way you modified his sig.

I only modified the part that said "line art by" so that it would fit. Would he prefer it be illegible?

Sorry to delay Rockman X, if you hang around long enough you'll find that I've got a lot going on and sometimes don't get around to responses and stuff for awhile.
Anyway, I have no problem with how you handled the signature, but I'm afraid I can't accept it simply because the background was taken from the game, and so it isn't a fair assessment of your coloring abilities.
I do hope you'll give it another shot though, and can still use the Butterfree. If so, I would very much recommend submitting it at a larger size (lots of people have shrunken their entries, but yours is so small it's almost impossible to appreciate the coloring job), and preferrably keep it squared in proportions.
Add onto it how, exactly?

Okay, I'll draw the Viridian forest myself. BTW, that's the pink Butterfree from the TV Series (don't know if it aired in the US since I know some episodes were cut for stupid reasons). I did it from memory, so I hope I got the colors right. Edit: You wouldn't believe how long this took me to make. I hope everyone likes it. And the Pikachu sprite in the background is obviously not mine and is thrown in just because I think it looks cute. If that is a problem, I can easily remove it.

I can't believe this got overlooked. Your pink Butterfree looks much better at this size. All the shading and stuff is a lot more noticeable. And the background is just brilliant.. ya did a great job trying to do that Viridian Forest background deal. I can't believe no one's said anything.
