This is my latest project. Guilty Gear characters as chibi sprites. We have: Squirrel Killer (Sol Badguy) The Modestly Hot Succubus (Zio) Captain Megascalpel Baghead, PhD (Faust) Angsty McHumanhater (Testament) Time-travelling British Looney (Axl Low) Embarrassed Twit (Ky Kiske) Pacman Fever (Zappa) Modestly Hot Gear Woman (Dizzy). So, whatcha think so far? :P

Sadly, I haven't been able to play the Guilty Gear series yet, but I have a question about your technique... I've never really tried spriting myself, but it seems most people use a preexisting character as a base model and make modifications from there. Is that what you've done here?

Exactly. For these, I used the sprites of characters from Sonic Battle, like Sonic or Amy, as the base.

I've never really tried spriting myself, but it seems most people use a preexisting character as a base model and make modifications from there. Is that what you've done here? Many people use bases for their sprites. You could call them lazy but some people have done some amazing work with them(do not brag... do not brag...). Alright, now Finalhazard... I must say that's some good work there, but I've just a few complaints. Your characters most certainly have their own look, but you didn't exactly cover the bases all that well. I mean, they look good, but you can tell in some areas what was used as a base. You know what I mean right? Also I see a few pixels in some that seem askew... Oh and just a little bit of advice, it's a bad idea to use Pure Black in spriting when it comes to that style. I don't see much but I think I see a little. Really changing the shade so that it's just one little bit lighter sometimes makes all the difference. I've never played Guilty gear so I can't really say how accurate they look.

Thanks for your tips, Pitch. I try to avoid Pure Black too, but in some cases, I can't help meself. This, unfortunately, is one of those cases. I'll try to fix the sprites up a bit next time, so keep an eye out.
