I was looking back to when I was a wee lad (four years ago), and I had a chuckle when I realized that I was introduced to MML in the strangest way. My friend had invited me over to play videogames and he wanted to show me a game where you can kick a can and get money. I was already a fan of Mega Man and sadly before had not know or even heard of MML, and I had fun.

Even though my introduction was 6 years ago and its kind of hazy I'll try to recall it. I remember playing the game hours on end with a 1 week overdo fee at the video store. For some reason now unknown to me I never got past the third subgate back then.

I'm pretty sure that when I was 7 my brother bought the game for Christmas. I wanted to play becasue I saw him kick and destroy a vending machine. I didn't get far when I played then, but when I was 10-11 I went through the whole game.

I recall I was introduced to it about three years ago, or sometime around there, I beat the game in the five days I had. I rented it and fell in love... with roll, and so naturally I had to beat the game. Of course then we met Tron and things got... ambivalent? In any case I collided with MML2 when I went to capcom.com to buy MML1 and on an inpulse I bought it. Just a week ago when I returned to capcom.com to by the Misadventures of Tron Bonne, I sadly discovered they no longer sell PS1 games ... Oh, well I'll get my hands on it one day.

I first saw the game in a rental store. The problem was, it was checked out all the time, so it was weeks before I could rent it. Anyways, when I DID rent it, I thought of it as just another game, although I did like to see MegaMan in 3D. Cool concept and stuff. But after a while, I kept getting the urge to play the game after I rented it. I had already bought MML2, but my collection was incomplete. It was around that time that I started snooping Capcom's website. Then, I found TMOTB. I was, like, a THIRD GAME?! It was a couple of weeks later that my parents, whom I convinced to buy it, bought me a bundle pack of all 3 games. (Or was it a buy 1 get on half off kinda deal?) Anyways, I now had all the MML games, and soon, it became my favorite series. It went over the top, and beat Final Fantasy. Now, I've become a major BBSer on the MML boards. I started out in the MML2 board, and learned to roleplay in the MegaMan Dark Days RP game. (I still have the game, fully edited and formatted into readable form. STILL didn't make an ending, with the 500 post limit and all. It's an awesome fic, it's just that it got out of hand at the end.) Soon after the RP ended, I saw a little web address in MegaManTrigger's sig. It contained the address to MLU. I joined at once, and started posting. I was the second member there, only to SuperDanny. I've been there ever since, which is about 1 1/2 years. I've since expanded to MLS and MLE (OT's board). Wow, that's a loooooong post. I hope I didn't put everyone to sleep.

I got the game for free from one of my frat brothers and then didn't play it for about a year. When I did, I got hooked, so I ordered the other two games off of Amazon.com almost immediately (this was a while back, when you could still get them new fairly easily, but they weren't at full price).
By the way, Tron Bonne (the game) rocks! Hardcore.

I found out about Megaman Legends through role playing. Me and a friend one-on-one in AIM and have characters from differents series, and my friend happened to have the Bonnes. They never were brought out much until now, when I found out what a great game MML is.
The story, abridged, goes along the lines of:
Character loses canon girlfriend. Tron gets crush on dumped character. They get together because aforementioned character is insecure anyway, so now we have a crossover couple... And it actually is compatible and works. This goes along for about several months until I find that we have MML2 shoved in a closet somewhere. I come to the conclusion that playing MML would be a good idea but I was missing my Playstation at the time.
So, I tried to play MML2 on the computer with an emulator. It doesn't work and even with PSEXE, whatever, it still does not. How it works for fab is beyond me since he even gave me his exact settings. Still on my end, even today, nothing. It did fatally trigger something on my computer that forced me to FORMAT MY FREAKIN' C DRIVE.
Ahem.
In conclusion, I am going to have to wait to buy MML. We go to the store the next day and I purchase the game. I go home and play it, which it works on my emu this time. I snub at the crappy graphics but...
Dude. The characters. Aside from my already in there bias/favoritism towards Tron (as much as I like to royally torment her), I still almost-instantly fell in love with the Bonnes. Teisel's such a wonderful character and so neglected... What if he were a skinny, wimp of a bishounen instead? Maybe he would be more popular (Although Glyde proves that theory wrong.).
A few months later, my obsession buds and here I am.
... This is also why Tron is my favorite character. I noticed her off the bat and, well, outside of the character who got crushed on, I soon fell in love with her myself. I used to brush her aside but I found a lot to like about her.
Yeah.

I believe I read about the game in a Tips and Tricks magazine. Then I saw it in blockbuster in a little while later and decided to rent it...It was great! I enjoyed it a lot but never did the side quests or anything as it was a rental. Couple years later I saw Legends 2 in blockbuster and figured what the heck, I liked the first one, and I beat that one as well.
About a month ago I decided to buy the games and play through them again and it was just how I remembered them. I also bought Tron Bonne and loved that one too. Gah...there needs to be a third legends game...now =P

My brother rented the game but I wasn't too interested in it at first. Then one day I walked in while he was playing and a cut scene started, guess which one?! It was the first one with Teisel and it cracked me up so bad my obssession had started and I could never forget it again so I decided to play it myself and have SO much fun!
