I currently live in Hawaii, as those of you who bother to look at my Avatar know, but next year I may have to move, possibly to California, so I'll ask, what is the Mainland like? Are the streets sometimes dangerous with bad people(especially at night)? Do the schools have a gang, with a big bully as the leader as I see in most TV shows? Do you think the house/apartment rents are set at a reasonable price? Are there some imports shops?

I'll answer as best as I can. 1.A little, not terribly. 2.Not my small private school, anyways. 3.Oh, very decent.... Ok, I don't know. 4.NO! BY THE GLORIOUS GOLDEN SUN, I CAN FIND NO JAPANESE IMPORTED MATERIAL!!!  Er, not around me anyways. |

The streets are fairly safe at night, but then again, I live in the northeast, not California, so I guess that can't help you. None of the schools I attended ever had gangs or bullies, just stupid snobby girls and drug addicts that spent most of the school year being suspended anyway. I never really paid attention to the other people at school. Housing rates depend on where you live, but I heard in Cali it's pretty high, especially around the cities. Again, having never lived there, I wouldn't know. As for import shops, you can find most anything online, but I've yet to see a physical, tangible one. Does that help?

Depends on where in California you live. There are some parts that are very movie/tv show like because there are so many street thugs and gangs and such. You hear gunshots all night long. A friend of mine's friend was shot the other day because she was Black and not Mexican. sooo stuff like that. Other areas however are just fine. I can't say for sure what areas. I would research it more. Where I live is great, which is not California but Washington state. Washingon is great, especially Western Washington. You would probably be surprized by the weather though. Lots of import stores too because Seattle is the port for most everything in Asia. Hope I didn't scare you but make sure you know where in California.
