Questions concerning the MegaMan Legends Series for the PC (MegaMan Legends 1, Legends 2, Misadv. of Tron Bonne)
I have reason to believe that the above games were ported (or brought over) to the PC. Can anyone confirm this for me?
Also, if they WERE ported, I want to know where I can get them for a price under $25USD/game. I've looked everywhere, but I can't seem to find them. (At this point, I'm not concerned about the disc(s) being authentic, or the availability of the game manual/box/anything else that came with the game)
If anyone has answers to the above questions, I would be eternally grateful.
(BTW, this thread is to replace the thread that was wrongly placed in the Rules section)

The first Legends game did indeed have an official PC release here in the United States (well, I'm in the U.S. anyhow). However, the only place I've ever seen it is on ebay. Neither of the other two games in the series had an English-language PC release... However, I found this through froogle.com some time ago: global.yesasia.com/en/PrdDept.aspx/pid-1003115376It appears to be a Chinese version of Rockman DASH 2 (Japanese name for "Mega Man Legends 2"), but that makes no sense. According to GameFAQs.com, a Japanese PC version of the game doesn't even exist. Strange, right? (Also, I deleted your misplaced topic, but if you PM the admin or another forum staff member, we can also move them.)

Thanks for the info! I'm still wondering about Legends 2 and Misadv. of Tron Bonne. I DID find a link to the Capcom store selling the English version of Legends 1 but the game is always out of stock and it's priced at $1000 (or, I should say, $999.59). But, honestly, the copyright at the bottom says "Capcom (C) 2003" so I think it's just a ghost page (a page they forgot to delete). Anyways, I'm still open for more information, including purchasing information. Thanks again!
BTW, Here's the link. Seems I forgot to include it: www.capcom.com/xpml/game.xpml?gameid=550029
You know what, I'll stoop to a low, here... If anyone knows where I can get even a DEMO of the PC version of any of the above mentioned games, I'll be happy. (Hopefully it's not a time-based demo).

If you want to get the PC version of the other 2, they weren't released for PC in the U.S, I would own them if they were. ;D. Why do you need a PC version of either of the games, just wondering
btw don't double post or triple post, you should use the modify button.

Thanks for letting me know about the other 2 games, I'll stop asking.
Why I want the PC version badly? While I have a PlayStation (which would be a lot easier to buy for), I prefer the PC version of most games, regardless if the quality is less than that of the console game. (Something about me playing PC for years, and now I just know the keyboard better than a joystick or a controller)
If you have any idea as to where I can get Legends 1 on the internet (obviously, at a cost) then please let me know.
(Also, I'll try not to multi-post in the future)
***
Well, I'm forced into the PlayStation version for Legends 2 & Misadv. of Tron Bonne - does anyone have a suggestion for a good PSX emulator that works with XP? I'm being stubborn, I know, but I insist on playing those games on PC!

I'll send you mine, the settings are already set up for MML2. You may have to switch to a different sound plugin for MOTB though. Also make a disk image(iso), the games run much better with an image, especially sound doesn't run well on legends 2. Tell me and I'll send you the emulator, and how to get MOTB working with sound.

Also, if you had bought the PC version, you would have been given a web site with a MML theme. It's all MML1, but it's still a theme. I might still have the setup file on my computer.

Replying to JMC_47: That would be awesome if you could send me a copy of the emulator. (I have XP, so no Bleem!) I have ePSXe, but none of the correct settings. Maybe I'll just buy Legends 1 for the PlayStation as well and save myself some grief. Replying to SIMSteven: The MegaMan theme is not exactly what I had in mind to get, but if you're offering it, I would love it. And to everyone else: If anyone has a copy of Legends 1 for the computer, I'll buy. If anyone can track down a copy (or even a downloadable demo) I'll be grateful. (Meanwhile, I'll be at eBay buying myself a couple of PSX Discs!) (If anyone wants to talk to me or send me anything at all, e-mail me at bring_back_legends@yahoo.com [This is my back-up e-mail, the one I submitted to the site is my main one]) *** Checking on the site, seems like there was another discussion about the same thing. I'd like my discussion to stay open, but here's the link to the other if anyone is interested. mmls.proboards7.com/index.cgi?board=talkmml1&thread=1077027160&action=display&start=0

Could you PM me your Email address so I can send it to you. I use epsxe also. I also use Win XP. What processor and graphics card do you have. My 2.8GH Athlon isn't enough to play through it perfectly(has trouble with fades). But when I go to my Brothers 3.0Gh Pentium 4, the fades work just fine. Also, the final battle against Sera... when she fires that blackhole thing, I never got that effect working, Not my name got it working, but only at 5 FPS, he unlimites the frame rate for that effect sometimes. Both our graphics cards are high end, his is higher than mine, and is plays through better. MML1 has no trouble spots. 1 more I almost forgot, at the battle of geetz in MML2, the cinamatic where Gatz is killed doesn't play through at normal FPS, there is no known way to get it running full speed on the cinematic(at least I don't think so, I've changed every option). Also, emulators can damage your PC, though it never happened to me. I just want to tell you that the games run 95% perfect. those are the only problems I've encountered.

I DID find the MegaMan Legends 1 Desktop Theme. I still have it. It still have the setup file. But first, see if the old site is working: megaman.capcom.comWhen I tried it before, I got a "Forbidden." If not, I can send it to you. Include your e-mail in a PM, and I'll send it to you. fab, if you want to put it on your site, youre more than welcome to. However, I'd be wary of copyright infringment. Edit: Yup... It's not there any more.

I may have the demo for MML on my computer still, but it was inferior to the PSX version. And I don't mean a little. It was WAY worse than the PSX version!
I couldn't even play through the whole demo since the control was so bad.
If you want me to send it to you or something, I'll see if I still have it on my computer, but don't get your hopes up.

Okay, I'm posting my main e-mail on the site - it's "eric.chiz@rogers.com". My inbox is 100Mb, so try to keep everything below that, huh? Anyways, I think I can summarize what I've learned with this thread: MegaMan Legends 1 was released for PC, but was discontinued shortly afterwards (due to sales?). Because of it's rarity, I'll be hard pressed to get it. Still, I might be able to buy it at the following webpage: www.capcom.com/xpml/game.xpml?gameid=550029MegaMan Legends 2 was released for PC, but only in Jap/China. Still, if I ever learn Chinese or Japanese, I can go here to buy it: global.yesasia.com/en/PrdDept.aspx/pid-1003115376Misadventures Of Tron Bonne was never released for PC. It remained on the PSX. You can try your luck looking for it here: www.ebay.comCapcom doesn't want to admit their "SUPPOSED" mistake and has removed all indication of the Legends series from the website - they haven't even replied to by e-mail about Legends to them! (Note, I said supposed, this is NOT my personal opinion of the games. I love the Legends series.) If you have anything else to add to that, please let me know. (Hey, this wasn't too bad for my first Legends thread, huh?)

You've got it, basically... Although I'm really iffy on the authenticity of that Chinese DASH 2 PC game. If there hasn't been a Japanese PC version, how on earth could a Chinese one exist...? I'm thinking it's either not actually for PC or it's an illegal, probably terrible port job. Capcom doesn't want to admit their "SUPPOSED" mistake and has removed all indication of the Legends series from the website - they haven't even replied to by e-mail about Legends to them! (Note, I said supposed, this is NOT my personal opinion of the games. I love the Legends series.) I wouldn't say that's entirely true. If you'll notice, Capcom isn't selling Playstation, N64, or PC games games AT ALL anymore although they were up until a few months ago. As the Legends series is limited to those 3 platforms, it's basically old news. BUT, so is every other game they made for those platforms. The neglect isn't limited to Legends is what I'm saying.

Well, I think I'm about done with this thread, so I guess it could be discontinued (I would, however, post this info on the website, if it isn't there already)
I'm moving on to other things. I've gone out and bought MMLegends 1, 2, & Misadventures of Tron Bonne for the PSX.
Anyways, I'm working on fanart now - anyone want to add something to this topic (like selling me his/her MMLegends 1 PC game) can e-mail me, I guess.
I bid you adieu.
