Ok, this is a good idea, I think. Post all your ideas about the current MegaMan games! Also, post what you think is going to happen in the next game. (Limit yourself to what's possilbe, not what you want.)
(BTW, I'm aimin' for a sticky!)
Ok, here's a theory. Well, I think it's been proven, but not with THIS MUCH detail.
Joe......
When you first meet Joe, Roll says she feels like she knows him for some reason. Also, if you go into the bar just after the scene, talk to the bartender twice. She says he showed up here 10 years ago.
Some interesting info comes up after you talk to him before the Gemmeinshaft battle. I don't know if you figured this out yet, but Joe is really Roll's father. Yup, his real name is Banner and he journey to the Forbidden Island with Matilda ten years ago. What Joe says and what he has leads you to this conclusion. Why would he have a dropship diagram? He's Banner. Why would he have the picture of Roll's family? He's Banner. Why does he know that Roll and MegaMan are always going to do great things, and that he just gives Roll and MegaMan the dropship? He's Banner, and he's just passing things down in the family. Why did he wake up ten years ago on Calinca Island after he journeyed to Forbidden Island? He's Banner. Get the picture?
Now, there's more to read into Banner's character. He always gets these feelings, like he just knows that things will happen like they should. Why is that? Why, it's just his natural Digger's instinct. He was supposedly one of the best Diggers of his time, so naturally, he's very instinctive. Also, I have reason to believe that he does have amnesia and that he never had it. Why is that? It's just my belief, based on when he talked to himself, that he knows that Roll and MegaMan should be together. He talked to the picture like he was talking to his daughter, and he showed no signs of confusion when he said it. Also, how would you feel if you were the cause of your wife's death? He didn't know it at the time, but ten years ago when he woke up on at Yosyonke without his wife, he probably believed that she was dead. When in fact, Matilda was still alive.
The important point here is that he feels he failed his family, and used the amnesia story to cover up his grief. Therefore, he pretended that he had amnesia so he could start a new life.
Still not convinced? Well, if you talk to him after you beat the Gemmeinshaft, he'll say something rather interesting. He says that he has to stop living in the past and live in the here-and-now. If that doesn't tell you anything, then think about this. He's spent the last ten years of his life living in the past and trying to go back to Forbidden Island. Why is that? He wants to see what happened to his wife, Matilda. He wanted to double-check to see if she was still alive! And also, since she didn't return when the rest of the townspeople DID return, he believes her dead. So now, he's going to live the rest of his life with the bartender lady.
