I did have a bit of difficulty with a few bosses once I cranked it up to normal mode (and subsequently hard, but the Marlwolf lost my brother and my patience pretty fast). I think the hard ones were... the Fokkerwolf was kind of hard replaying, but there's something you can do to make it really easy (can't remember, it's been a while since Megaman 64). Until I learned just to turn on the jetskates, Juno's second form was sort of hard. I actually found the 1st form of Sera harder than her 2nd, really just because I can't convince myself to heal.

Just for the record, the Marlwolf was so hard for me in Megaman 64's Hard mode because I didn't jump on its back even once. I just shot at it from a distance when possible. It took me 2 or 3 HOURS!

It took me 2 or 3 HOURS! lol, you know that's acually how I learned to beat him normally. Jumping on its back, imo, is a big waste of time. The Powered Buster has enough range and power to blast him into bloody oblivion. It works pretty well on his back too.

I didn't use a special weapon at all. Just the regular Megabuster and whatever powerups I had at the time. Take it as a funny story if anything.

For the Marlwolf, I used the Machine Buster with a boosted range to snipe at him. Of course, I think jumping on the back's a whole lot more fun. Just like jumping on those Leopordoes in the Yass Plains. I like enemies you can jump on.
Oh wait...yeah, hardest boss. Come to think of it, the Garudoriten in the Lake Jyun Sub-Gate took me a couple of tries to beat the first time I played. Ever since then I've been able to beat it though.
