So, haven't gotten the latest episode of Legends of the Halcyon Era proofread yet, and not sure when that's going to happen. Fortunately, I've been holding on to something for just such an occasion. This a tale I like to call "Legends of the Sword," a one-shot short story that follows a different pair of Diggers elsewhere in the world of Mega Man Legends. This was a gift I put together late last year for my artist friend, Victor, who has done all the character art and several covers for Legends of the Halcyon Era thus far. He has a pair of characters he came up with long ago, but never really got to flesh out or develop them to any great degree, so I cracked my knuckles and had at it. He was pleased with the result, and I hope you will be, too.

Awesome, a one-shot! I can actually sit down and read this! Don't think I've ever seen Sword Man get the Legends treatment, either--little bit disappointed his body was all one piece, but some things are just harder to do when you're a Carbon I guess. But the dialogue with the Sharukurusu was pretty awesome. Nice job!

I hope you can get to my other stuff sometime, too!

I feel like maybe I should be doing a better job engaging with replies on my stuff, particularly if I want people to engage with me (and I do), so trying again here. ^^;;
I suppose this SwordMan could have split in two, given what we've seen of Bonne, but that's not really how the character was designed. XD
I like to think that maybe series progression helped move things beyond the shortcomings Wily had to deal with when designing the original.
Doing the dialogue was a fun bit. SwordMan is a bit Reaverbot-obsessed, so that made it an interesting change from the more ensemble-styled cast I'm used to working with, but it also provided an easy enough out, in this case. =)
